Morning Dew's

Everyone who was part of Prince Riana's army was feeling tense. But the woman in the black hood standing in the hidden place was much more depressed than everyone else there.

He felt a clash of forces opposite to him. A pair of hands pulled him back quickly, taking him away in an instant.

Reverend Serfa had just come with the Nobles of Voldermont and his army. They arrive just in time to help Prince Riana.

The dark force that was felt a few seconds ago has left.

"Don't kill if you don't need to, catch them all !!' prince Riana's orders on the sidelines of battle.

The clink of the sword clashed deafeningly. The person who covered his face and hair with a cloth was in front of Yuki and attacked anyone who tried to get close to Yuki. His movements are quite well trained. He's not just anyone.

Yuki was pushed until his back was docked to a large tree. He saw the bloodied sword near his feet, Yuki leaned over and picked it up. Mind empty.

Chaos can be controlled. Prince Riana and his army managed to incapacitate all the hypnotized Royal Soldiers. Not a few were injured and some were killed.

Yuki looked at it all in its place. He's not flinching. Silence is like a statue. The person protecting her turned to Yuki for a moment before going to disappear into the forest. While Yuki seemed to recognize him, his figure felt familiar to him.

Prince Riana ordered his troops to separate the wounded Soldier and the dead Soldier. Reverend Serfa immediately plundered a spell that awakened the hypnotized Soldiers.

They looked confused, looking at each other for answers to what happened. Like someone who woke up from his long slumber and watched the environment he woke up in was already far changed from before.

Prince Riana made sure everything was under control before she finally turned her head towards Yuki who was still standing glued in place. Yuki was still tightly holding the bloodstained sword in his hand. He looked confused and in shock.

"Yuki's.."

Call Prince Riana softly when she is only a few steps away from Yuki. Yuki's eyeballs moved looking at Prince Riana. Yuki's face was flat but alert. "It's okay, you're safe.all is done"

There were stains of fresh splashes of blood on Prince Riana's face and body coming from her battle opponent.

Prince Riana handed her sword to the Xasfir Nobles who were following behind. Walking over to Yuki carefully, so that Yuki would not be frightened.

"You're safe now" Prince Riana repeated quietly but firmly "give me your sword"

"Sword ?!" Tanya Yuki was dazed.

Prince Riana pointed at Yuki's hand. "In your hand"

Yuki raised his hand and was surprised to find a long sword covered in blood on his hand. He's getting panicked.

"Yuki it's okay, you're safe" Prince Riana ordered again. "Give it to me now"

Yuki handed over his sword, still dazed. The prince received Yuki's sword with a feeling of relief and directly gave it to the Xasfir Nobles. Yuki retreated as Prince Riana approached. Like a chick that lost its mother, while she was cornered when in front of her there was another animal ready to prey.

"He's in shock, you better slap him to wake up"

Prince Riana looked at the nobleman Voldermon protesting. He turned his eyes back to Yuki.

"You're safe Yuki, no one's gonna hurt you"

Yuki shook her head. He returned Prince Riana's gaze with a frustrated look.

"It's okay, you can cry if you want"

Yuki's tears are spilling, She's crying hysterically. Shedding all the weight on his chest.

The king was very angry when he heard the news of the attack on Prince Riana. But as a King, He suppressed feelings and did not show them clearly.

The king called the priest Hiro, Reverend Hiro was the priest's bodyguard assigned to guard his father. It used to be Reverend Hiro who trained Reverend Calberi, the guardian priest of King Bardana, but Reverend Calberi died in his duty while quelling the black magic that once haunted the kingdom ten years ago.

Upon hearing of the death of his Disciple, Reverend Hiro came out of hiding and purged the followers of black magic. After that incident Reverend Hiro settled in the temple located on the outskirts of the capital until now.

Sometimes, King Bardana would invite Father Hiro to the palace to play chess or just have lunch together. So when Reverend Hiro entered King Bardana's study today, no one felt strange.

Reverend Hiro sits opposite King Bardana. In front of them was a small table of sweets and a teapot of high quality. Both of them sat down and played chess.

King Bardana has ordered the butler to drive everyone out. So, just stay The two of them in the room, playing uninterrupted chess.

"I met the Prince on the way here, He was much more mature when I last came to the palace. It looks like the future queen managed to bring change in a better direction" said Reverend Hiro while lifting the pawn to eat King Bardana's pawn.

"The girl was quite good, not perfect as a Queen, but not bad either" the King moved the pawn to the white box.

"In this world, is there a perfect human being ?"

King Bardhana was silent for a moment. "What about the deaths of ten virgin girls, were there any other victims ?"

"I have long since resigned from the affairs of the kingdom, there is Serfa, the quality is much more enough to escort the Prince. Let the old me live a quiet life"

"The young still need the old to ask for an opinion"

Reverend Hiro drinks his tea. He looked straight ahead, thinking seriously. "Only ten victims"

"Just ten ?!" King Bardana looked at Reverend Hiro for reassurance. Fifteen years ago, when black power began to rise, after the death of ten virgin girls who had just obtained their first period, more than three hundred virgin girls were kidnapped and killed, even newborn babies are targeted for sacrifice.

"If He had stopped doing his rituals after killing ten virgin girls who had just gotten their first period, wouldn't the black power just eat up his soul and pull him to the deepest hell ?" King Bardana did not understand.

"I think Your Majesty, the reason He didn't kill a thousand virgins after the first ritual was over was because He got something that could replace those thousand virgins"

"There was no Ciel in this kingdom, the holy temple itself even got rid of every known Ciel to prevent a disaster from happening a hundred years ago"

Reverend Hiro flicked the King's pawn until it rolled over. "There is still a living Ciel, They hide themselves well or there are others who protect their existence"

The king was stunned for a moment. He wrestled in his mind. "Surely they are just ordinary people"

The king said nothing more. He's playing his pawn. Ending with the defeat of Reverend Hiro, his king's pawn is pinned down unable to move.

"You always have strategy and careful planning from a young age, it's very difficult to beat you in this game"

"Unfortunately I don't like this game, we sacrifice one pawn to keep moving, no matter who the pawn is"
