Chapter 22

Niko started telling me everything about what Niken is going through right now. As he was telling me about Niken's condition. Suddenly there was the sound of a cell phone in his pants pocket.

"Hello, what's wrong Ma?" ask Niko when the phone call is connected.

"Where are you, son?" sarah's voice panicked.

"I'm at Rani's house, why is Mama crying" Niko replied, looking panicked.

"You better go home now, Mama wait for you at home" replied the mother crying.

"Well, I'll go home right now" Niko said as she hung up her phone.

"What's up, Mom?" I asked after Niko hung up her phone call.

"I don't know, for sure I should go home now," he replied as he stood up and walked in a hurry.

"Aren't you saying goodbye to Luna first!" I shouted as Niko walked out.

"You just tell him I'll be back soon" he replied, shouting and starting to get in the car.

"Actually what has happened to Anita," my mind while looking at Niko's car that began to walk away from my yard.

After Niko left my house, I started to continue my activities. Clean the food stalls and serve some of the guests who come. At the residence Sarah had gathered several people and had mounted a yellow flag in her yard.

"What's the matter, Ma, why are there yellow flags, and why are so many people gathered in this house?" asked Niko in confusion.

"I'm sorry Mama, you've failed to be a good grandmother" Sarah replied in tears.

"What does Mama mean, where's Niken why isn't she here?" niko asked as she set her sights on finding Niken.

"You patient son, your wife is currently in the hospital she is bleeding and we just buried your son" Sarah replied in tears.

"Son, you mean my son-in-law's mother?" rudi asked as if convincing what he had heard.

"Yes son, but now that she's gone you're right the bleeding is one sign of miscarriage" Sarah replied as she rubbed Niko's arm.

"O Allah" said Niko, sitting limply on the floor.

Niko's tears immediately fell on her cheeks, she didn't expect God would take her son so soon. Some time Niko cried and sat down weakly while pensive. After feeling quite calm, Niko immediately stood up and asked the situation of Niken to the mother.

"Niken is still in the hospital, his condition is still very concerning," Sarah replied as she wiped her tears.

"I have to see him right now" Niko said as she walked out.

"Niko wait a minute!" sarah shouted while chasing after Niko who had walked towards the car.

"What's wrong Ma, I want to see Niken" he replied when he was in front of his car.

"Niken can't be found now, you better go to your son's grave," Sarah ordered, apparently forbidding Niko from seeing Niken.

Niko finally got into her car and headed to the son's grave. Sarah who was still at home went straight in to pick up a brown envelope and give it to one of the people in the place. It turned out that those people were just people who were deliberately taken by Sarah to pretend to serve her home.

"Okay, ma'am, I will" replied the man, receiving an envelope from Sarah and leaving the place.

"It's a good thing that Niko believed in me, when today I sent Sarah out of town for a few days of vacation" Ningrum said, wiping her tears. 

I don't know whose tomb is currently in front of Niko. A small tomb bearing the name of the son. For a moment Niko sat beside the tomb regretting what she had done.

"I'm sorry Papa Nak, because your Papa's mistake became like this" Niko said, helplessly holding back her tears. 

Almost an hour Niko was next to the navel bearing her son's name. Regret over what he did to Niken continues to haunt him. The warm embrace he wanted to give to the son now could only be given to the tombstone in the cemetery.

"Hello, what's up Rani" Niko said as I called her.

"Are you okay, Mom?" I asked when I heard Niko's heavy voice from crying too much.

"My son has just died, and Niken is currently in a critical state" replied Niko who instantly shocked me.

"Innalillahiwainnailaihirojijun," I said in surprise.

I did deliberately contact Niko to find out about what had happened. I did it not to seek sympathy or attention from my ex-husband. However, just because I thought after all he had given me happiness even though that happiness had to end.

"I am so sorry for what happened to your family, hopefully Niken can be released from the criticism soon," I said in a tone full of pity.

"Amin .. thank you for your prayers," Niko replied as she hung up her phone.

After hearing the sad news Niko gave. I immediately invited Luna to go to Niko's house to say condolences. After packing my things and Luna not how long the online taxi I booked arrived. 

"Mom, where are we going?" asked Luna when we were in the car.

"Today we're going to Dad's house, Luna wants to see Dad, '" I replied, asking him to lean on my body. 

"You ma'am, Luna hooray met Dad!" luna shouted with happiness.

After a long journey we finally reached Niko's house. Looks like a luxurious house with a large enough yard. Luna who had just come to the house of the father looked amazed by the luxurious house in front of him at this time.

"Mom is this really Dad's house?" luna asked as she set her gaze all over the corner of the house.

"Yes, son, let's go in and meet Dad," I asked while holding his little hand. 

"Mom, if Dad's house is this big why do we have to live in a small house like in the village?" asked Luna while looking at me.

"It's a shame that even though our house is small, but at least there are more friends than here no friends will play with Luna" I replied with a smile.

I purposely did not tell you what really happened between me and Mas Niko. Because I don't want Luna to turn out to hate her father. However, Luna and Mas Niko still have blood ties.

"Assalamualaikum" I said, knocking on the door.

"Waalaikumsalam," replied someone as he opened the door.
