Mom, Why Am I Different?

Chapter 19

That day I was like a madman. I helped Mia and Miss Santi find Luna all over the village. Until when we were busy looking for Mia who was then scattered immediately shouted.

"Mama, Sister Rani! Here Luna was there," cried Mia to make me and Miss Santi surprised and ran towards Mia.

"Where is Luna?" santi asked with great worry.

"That's Ma, look at her eating at that chicken stall," Mia replied as she pointed across the street.

"Oh my God, why is he there" I said as if in disbelief.

The three of us walked straight to the chicken stall. While crying I hugged Luna tightly. Without seeing who brought him to that place.

"Oh Allah, son, you have made Mother worried" I said while crying and hugging the daughter's body just my way.

"Rani, Miss Santi," a man's voice called my name and Miss Santi.

"Roy, why are you here as well," I asked who was starting to get curious.

"Sorry Rani was accidentally I saw Luna crying while walking, when I asked her to look for you because her stomach was hungry so I immediately brought her here" Roy explained to me while apologizing.

"I'm sorry, son, next time I won't leave you for too long" I said, kneeling and kissing Luna on the forehead.

"Son Roy, thank you for looking after Luna, actually Rani has been working at my house and usually Luna always comes along, but lately she has refused to come along," obviously Miss Santi while thanking Roy.

"I'm sorry Roy that Luna has troubled you" I said, releasing my arms from my little daughter's body.

"It's okay, I like to be able to eat with Luna especially she's very obedient child," replied Roy while rubbing Luna's cheek.

"Luna let's say thank you to Om Roy, after that we go home," I told Luna.

"Thank you Om, Luna said yes first," said Luna while kissing Roy's hand.

"Let's love Next time we eat together again yeah," said Roy with a smile.

Me, Miss Santi and Mia went straight home to Roy. When I got home, I asked Luna to take a shower. With a smile I invited Luna to sit on the bed and gave her a little advice.

" Luna, next time it should not be like that mother and others are anxious, if anything happens How, "I said to Luna while rubbing her hair gently.

" Yes Ma'am, Luna apologized and Luna promised not to repeat it again, " replied Luna while looking at me.

" Yaudah now you rest" I said, asking Luna to lie down on the bed.

After Luna fell asleep I immediately resumed my delayed activities. I started cleaning the house and washing all my clothes. From the beginning I could only do homework at night, because during the day I had to work to earn a living for the needs of both of us.

The next day I did my usual activities. However, this time I did not allow Luna to stay home alone. Because I don't want what happened yesterday to happen again.

"For a while, son, I cleaned you first sleep on the living room sofa first" I said as I rubbed my daughter's head.

"But later if I fall asleep how will you take me home?" asked Luna who looks unwilling to trouble me.

"Later Mom will wake you up, now you sleep on the sofa first yes," I ordered while kissing her forehead.

Actually tired of having to play two characters at once. I have to be a father and a mother for my daughter. However, I must be able to survive for the sake of Luna's future.

"Patience, son, all this Mother did for the good of your future," my mind as I continued to look at Luna who was walking towards the living room.

After finishing all the work at the house of Miss Santi. I was ready to go home soon because it was starting late afternoon. Luna who was still asleep at that time immediately I hugged in my sling.

"Mom, are we home yet?" asked Luna who suddenly woke up from her sleep as I put her to bed.

"Well, are you going to go back to sleep or take an afternoon shower?" ask me to Luna who still looks lazy because she just realized from her sleep.

"I want to eat Mom, because my stomach is hungry" she replied, rubbing her eyes.

"Then you take a bath, let me make your favorite fried chicken" I ordered, holding Luna's hand and taking her to the bathroom.

After preparing a meal for Luna I went straight into the room. Soon I picked up the tin of biscuits I had stored in my closet. When I opened the can, there was so much money in the can that it almost filled the can.

"Alhamdulillah, it looks like this money can I make my business capital," I said while looking at the money in the can.

 "Mother, I'm done bathing," suddenly Luna went into the room to surprise me.

"Yes, come here Mother put on clothes first" I ordered while asking Luna to come closer to me.

"That's what Mom?" asked Luna while pointing towards the can.

"That's the money saving Mother, soon we can open our own business at home so Luna does not need to be tired to wait for Mom to work at Miss Santi's house," obviously I'm wearing clothes to my little princess.

"When will I go to school?" tanyanya back.

"You go to school waiting for the new school year to start in 3 months, but you're calm, I've enrolled you in school" I said with a smile.

"Hore I go to school, thank you Mom!" luna shouted happily while hugging and kissing me.

"O Allah thank you for the sustenance you always give us" I smiled in front of Luna. 

At first it was hard for me to be a single parent with one child. Plus caring for a newborn baby alone without a husband and parents. But now I am thankful that God slowly began to replace my tears with happiness and a smile. 

I was at my lowest point, making me almost crazy. The whisper of the devil and the uncontrollable emotions made me want to end my life and Luna's. However, all of that seemed to be gone when I started to take ablution water and pray for the first time.

"O Allah thank you once again, for You have brought me out of my slump all this time" I closed my eyes.
