76. Last Message

"You're going out of the country?" ask Zea.

Emily just silently did not answer, she was seen trembling holding a cup in hand.

“No need to answer if it is heavy, today just enjoy it as if we only live for today,” Zea invites.

Emily looks to nod with a smile. The two sat down and started talking to each other. It started with Emily first.

“I want to apologize Ze, sorry for trying to snatch Harry the wrong way.”

Zea shook her head, It's okay, Harry and I are not dating. If you really like Harry, I can give up.”

Emily touched Zea's hands and said, “No, take good care of Harry. I won't bother you guys anymore. Forever.”

Zea felt strange, but she ignored that sentence. I don't want to keep talking about men. The two talked about work and family.

“Oh yes, said Tasya your office friend bothering you?” ask plain zea.

“Tno really, they are just curious.”

“You sure Lily?.”

Emily nodded and changed the conversation to family.

“Oh yes, you came to my house earlier?.”

“Iya Lily, but you're not there.”

“I waited for you earlier.”

“Interested?” asked Zea in shock.

“Iya.”

“Gosh, why don't you call me.”

“I'm ashamed,” replied Emily honestly.

Zea looked at Emily pity, and immediately hugged her.

“I will be by your side, you are not alone Lily,” Zea said sincerely.

Emily began to cry and put the glass down, she began to tell him about all the burdens of her life.

**emily POV

I am the only daughter of Kim Sarah, the perfect woman with a myriad of accomplishments and riches. My father was a businessman who died at a young age from a heart attack. When my father died, I was 7.

Mom said dad died of a heart attack, but at the time of the incident. I looked in my closet at the time.

After school, I played with a maid. Accidentally hiding in my mother's closet. There, I waited until Natasha came looking for me. It wasn't Natasha who came, I just found my mother and father fighting.

At that time, Dad came in and slammed his suit. Mother also came in and resentfully nagged.

“Burhan, you forgot that I helped your efforts as big as now.”

“I don't forget Sarah, I never forget that. But, you're my wife. Is it worth sleeping with a driver?.”

“Why do you believe she's compared to your wife? It could have been a trick photo.”

“Based on cheap women, dare you keep lying,” said the father who was already very angry.

The mother who did not accept pushed the father to hit the edge of the bed, and somehow when the mother said harsh words, the father actually fell and held his chest in pain.

The words I said were, “Iya, I am the cheap woman you marry for the baby in my stomach. But did you know that she is not your biological daughter.”

I remember clearly that mom said that line and dad was so shocked that he had a heart attack and was not saved. From that day on, I hated my mother. Even though I know Burhan's father isn't my biological father. But she tried desperately to raise me.

Since my father died, my mother has been more successful and has been coming home less and less. Until I finally felt less affection. He didn't admit me, nor did he ever bring me to meet his partner or his mother's family.

“That's why I hate my mom so much,” the last sentence at the end of this heart-slicing story.

Zea cries silently, hugging her best friend and calming Emily. He was unable to imagine how grievous a child of his age, as small as seeing his father and mother quarrel even finding out that he was not the biological son of the father he loved so much.

After telling the story and feeling relieved, both of them chose to clean themselves. Emily took a bath in her room she used to wear and wore Zea's clothes. While Zea, shower in the room and order food for Emily.

“Your dinner came,” he said delivering in front of Emily's room.

“Thank you Zea, see you again,” said Emily with my eyes that Zea did not understand what she meant.

The next day, the two went to work. Emily left for work to resign, while Zea left for work as usual.

At lunchtime, Emily was not seen in the office. But, Zea felt something strange. Emily said earlier that she was grateful for the last breakfast Zea made for herself this morning.

Last “ words,” makes Zea continue to feel unsettled.

“Harry,” said Zea spontaneously when he saw there was an incoming call from Harry.

“Halo, what's up Harry?” ask Zea.

“You've read the news yet?.”

“Nothing what is it?.”

“Mother Emily arrested on charges of murder of her husband and embezzlement case at ministry.”

“What? You sure?.”

“Yes, I'm sure. This news just came out, are you with Emily now?.”

“No Harry.”

“Better you immediately look for Ze, this is not good news for Emily.”

“Iya, later I will look for it.”

The worried Zea immediately stood up from her seat and finished her lunch. Suddenly he saw Tasya running towards him.

“Zea, Emily,” shouted in a hasty tone.

“What's up?” ask Zea to panic.

The whole room was tense and apparently Emily found Office boy in the bathroom unconscious and frothy mouth. His pulse was weak and was immediately rushed to the hospital.  Fortunately the distance of the hospital was close, so it could soon be conditioned.

The worried Zea asks Robert for permission and is allowed to go to the hospital. So he went with Tasya.

Arriving there, Harry stood in front of the operating room talking to a doctor in surgery clothes.

“Harry,” scream Zea.

Harry stopped talking to the doctor and rushed to Zea.

“How is Lily doing?” asked Zea in a panicked tone.

“He will be fine,” said Harry assured.

Although Harry knew very well Emily's chances of recovery were very little. Because he drank the poison and it seems to have spread throughout the body. The poison can damage internal organs and allow patients to die quickly.

Zea chooses to wait in front of herself, Tasya has to return to work and Harry also has to take care of other patients.

An hour inside the operating room, the doctor came out with a sad face.

“We have tried our best just that the poison in his body spread quickly and damaged organs. We just pray for the best for the patient,” said the doctor then said goodbye.

Zea cried and couldn't control herself. This time she was crying in a voice like that. Harry who had appeared out of nowhere immediately hugged Zea.

“Hey, It’s okay, everything's gonna be okay,” said Harry calming.
