65. Failed First Date

4 Days passed, the day that Zea and Harry would meet to watch together at the cinema and have dinner together. However, since leaving Zea alone has felt bad. This was caused by the earlier Zea breaking the glass accidentally. This premonition had a bad effect on Zea's mood this afternoon.

"So go ask Emily?."

“Iya.”

“Harry picked you up here, right?” desi, Emily's best friend since they were in junior high school.

“Iya, sorry yes Desi. I wasn't home when you were here.”

“It's okay, just relax. Have a nice day ya,” said Desi later.

Tin

Harry's car sounded the horn. Zea who was ready rushed out of the house and left. Emily does not deliver ahead, while Desi looks out the window and sees Harry opening the door for Zea.

“You sure you'll give up?” ask Desi to Emily.

“Iya,” replied Emily casually.

“Why? You met Harry first, you deserve Harry. It should be Zea who relented instead of you.”

“Quite Desi, I don't want to discuss this,” said Emily reluctantly.

Emily has always liked Harry since they first met. At that time, the tomboyish and dislikeful Emily dressed up on her first blind date with a stranger after breaking up from her ex. He came to the cafe in simple clothes and horse-punched hair. She did not dress up and came as usual.

*Flashback *First Meeting

When he gets there, he meets a handsome man who is a new doctor.  The first time when he arrived, he was still greeted and conversing normally. Until finally the longer you sit, the more annoying. The man looked clucked and started saying annoying words according to Zea.

“You are beautiful natural, but it is a pity that women are dressed so,” said the man who turned out to be named Rozi.

Emily was shocked not to play, especially she did not feel confident to go on a date. She felt her body was not as beautiful as other women, she was thin and less tall. Emily also does not like to dress like a woman for example wearing a dress and also a short skirt. She prefers to wear pants that make her foot movements easier.

“You insulted me?” ask Emily in her usual tone.

“Not really, I just said as is, anyway which woman the hell went on a first date with such clothes.”

“I go, after all who you have the right to insult someone's appearance. If you do not like to say it, no need to insult.”

“Hey, you are back ya.”

“I'm reluctant to linger with a freak like you,” said Emily then got up.

“Wait,” prevent Rozi by upset.

“Where do you want to go? I'm not done yet. Anyway look at your face in the mirror, that skinny body, which men would want with a woman like you.”

Rozi chuckled and let go of Emily's hand. Emily's upset not playing, she really wants to hit this crazy guy in front of her.

Suddenly, someone stood up from behind Rozi's chair. The man looked very handsome, tall and broad-shouldered.

“I want, who would reject a good woman like this,” said Harry who approached Emily.

“Who would refuse a woman who can still hold back and not say rude when she is insulted. Where there are women as good as this,” added Harry.

“You will regret it,” he said then pulled up Emily's shirt sleeve and went out of the cafe.

From that day on, Emily felt like she had found a white riding prince. Handsome and kind, even the man gave Emily some store-bought mineral water and left the business card after helping Emily. Since then, Emily has been determined to get closer to Harry.

Flashback off

In the car, there was only Zea and Harry. The atmosphere became quiet as Zea chose to keep her attitude on their first date. Harry, too, will only act according to the plan he has laid out. But, the whole trip felt lonely and awkward. So, Harry asked a question to melt the atmosphere.

“You want to watch first or eat first?.”

“What if you play on the playground first? It looks like spending until the movie time starts to get better, then we eat after watching,” Zea said.

“Bby.”

A second later, silence again. Zea also confusedly started a conversation and chose silence along the way. Arriving at the mall, Zea and Harry go to the playground and play all the games there. Ranging from racing, basketball to everything they can do both. Zea smiled back. His smile was as bright as the sun, and Harry was relieved to see that smile after a long time. It was beautiful to see. Even Zea did not hesitate to express a smile with and a laugh when with Harry.

An hour and a half playing, both tired and out of there. Now, they choose to buy a drink to quench their thirst.

“You want tea?” harry asked as the two lined up in front of the cashier.

“Alright, you can sit down first,” pinta Harry.

“I want to go to the bathroom for a while,” Zea said later.

“Be careful yes,” replied Harry allowing at once asking Zea to be careful.

Zea then went to the bathroom and was there long enough to fix her makeup.

“That's gulali right,” Zea murmured after coming out of the bathroom and seeing the gulali booth in the mall.

He walked there and bought one for himself, he opened it because he wanted to taste. However, when he walked suddenly from behind a little boy ran over and hit him. Zea hit someone and the candy fell to the floor.

“Yahh,” complained Zea when she realized her candy had fallen and was stepped on by a child who had just passed by. He showed a sad expression, yet he immediately got up and apologized.

“Sorry brother, I pay less attention to the road,” he said as he walked to the front of the person and bowed his head.

“Zea, “ call a boy with a familiar voice in his ears. The voice belonged to David.

“We meet again,” said David excitedly.

“This means destiny,” said Maya who walked with Daniel and his son who was carried.

Zea turns to Maya, confused as to why she hugs another man and it's not David. There was a baby in her arms.

“Zea, sorry your candy fell,” said David picked up the candy that fell and put it in a plastic bag that he had brought which was also filled with junk candy Daniel and Maya.

“I'll buy you again yeah,” said David later.

“No!” zea replied firmly.

Zea then turned to Maya, “This is not Maya's destiny, but a frustrating coincidence. Just look at the misfortune that befell me today,” said Zea then left them all.

David was shocked and stunned. He felt sad to have the woman he loved become so cold and so alien.

Harry saw Zea walking with an annoyed face and walking quickly.

“What's up?” ask Harry.

“No, there was a stray cat that pissed me off,” Zea rebutted later.

Harry nodded and it was time for the film to begin. Both went to the cinema. During the viewing, Zea was less focused and seemed engrossed in her own thoughts. Similarly, the way home, he just kept quiet without saying anything and looked a lot dreamy.

Harry's car stopped in front of Zea's house. Zea is still daydreaming and not focused. The two did not talk all the way.

“We have arrived,” said Harry.

Zea just nodded and went down. Harry also came down and opened the door.

“Zea, what do you think today?” ask Harry.

“Ha?.”

“Good,” replied Zea out of focus.

Harry held back his flat expression and chose to give a sweet smile and said.

“I'm glad you gave you a chance, hopefully the next date is better,” said Harry then approached, taking a step forward towards Zea. The two were so close that it felt like they were only a few inches away.

“This,” said Harry as he pulled out a gold bracelet from the gold box he was carrying.

Zea was shocked and immediately shut her mouth.

“This is too much, Harry.”

“Not really, I'm happy if you would accept. But, I also do not force.”

“Alright, I save first. Thank you.”

Harry nodded and smiled, and reached out to Zea's right hand slowly. Take her to the front of her face and kiss her slowly, “Good night, Ze.”

Zea was startled, misbehaved but chose to hold back and just smiled and walked into the house.
