Marrying a Hardenal Girl

Marrying a Hardenal Girl
Mikayla Sick

Delano looked at the body of his wife who was still asleep that morning. He thought, not usually the beautiful creature was still lying down at breakfast.

It was Saturday and Delano had planned to take his wife for a walk as usual.

Autumn is underway and the air outside is quite cold and windy.

Delano touched Mikayla's cheek gently. His forehead wiggling.

"Warm cowl? Is he sick?"

Delano stood up and picked up a basin of water as well as a small towel.

He's compressing Mikayla's forehead. The girl's lips looked pale and dry.

He thought, a few months they had been living happily, Mikayla had never been pat like this. She is a strong girl in all weather and seasons.

Mikayla groaned for a moment with both hands pressing against her stomach. He tried to open his eyes when he felt something wet on his forehead.

"Honey, are you sick?" delano asked as he held onto Mikayla's two hands that were holding her stomach.

Mikayla just nodded while trying to wet her lips that felt dry and warm.

"Slow down, my stomach hurts a lot."

Delano looked at Mikayla with a look of pity.

"We're going to the hospital now. I'll change my clothes first."

A little while later Delano had finished dressing neatly. He then helped his wife change her clothes. Then take her to the basement to where her car is parked.

Along the way to the hospital Mikayla kept moaning while pressing on her stomach.

Seeing that Delano became even more panicked. The speed of the car was increased until they arrived at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Delano immediately took off the seat belt that shackled his wife and was about to hold her. When he was about to lift the body that had been weak, Delano felt something wet in the buttocks of his wife. Delano immediately looked up to see the blood that had filled his hand. Blood coming from his wife's lower body.

Delano abandoned his intention to carry his wife. He immediately ran to the ER.

Not long after, several medics came along with the bed to put Mikayla's body was drenched in blood.

"Oh my God, help my wife." Delano murmured with a face deeply struck.

"What happened to her? Why?" Delano continued to wonder in his mind. The look on his face showed a tremendous fear of losing his wife.

Delano came out of the toilet and went straight back in the ER corridor waiting for the Medical Team to finish their work.

Almost two hours he waited as the ER door opened and a nurse called out to him.

"Are you a relative of Mikayla Prasetya's sister?" Ask the nurse.

"I'm her husband. How's my wife doing?"

"Please go in first, the doctor wants to talk to you."

"Alright" Delano said as he walked into the ER room to see a doctor.

Delano stared for a moment at the body of his wife who was closing her eyes on the hospital bed. It still looks very pale. Delano's heart was deeply cut by grief.

A doctor patted Delano on the shoulder.

"Sir, are you her husband?"

Delano was aghast and immediately replied.

"Yes, right doctor. My husband. May I know what happened to my wife?"

"Your wife is stable and does not need a transfusion. Your wife miscarried. The age of the womb is about two months" said the doctor who made Delano slumped.

"What's? So my wife was pregnant all this time? But..why could she miscarry Doc?" Delano's face looked very hard hit.

"It seems there is no development in the fetus so that eventually the fetus came out by itself. From the initial diagnosis, your wife has a disorder in her womb so it is difficult to have children. This is natural to happen to women. This is called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or hormonal balance problems. Your wife will temporarily be treated for two or three days depending on her condition. If it's not weak anymore, it can go home."

Delano could only nod weakly hearing the doctor's explanation.

"Thank you Doctor" said Delano, then moved to the spot where his wife was lying.

Delano held Mikayla's hand and kissed her. "Honey, get well soon. I'll stay by your side." There was a single tear coming out of Delano's eyes. He still does not believe the doctor's verdict against his wife. He could not lie to his heart if he was disappointed with the doctor's verdict saying that Mikayla would be difficult to have children. But for Delano, there is always hope. He did not want Mikayla to be sad so he decided not to tell his wife what the doctor had told him. He loved his wife as she was!
