Marrying a Friend

Marrying a Friend
Phone In The Midnight

Today the weather turned cloudy. The clouds looked rather dark, and it seemed like the heavy rain was going to be long. I now cross while walking around an ornamental table made of marble ceramic, reaching for the remote cooler that is attached to the wall and realigning the temperature so as not to be too cool, then back to the place that I was standing. The chest cavity felt cold, as I took a deep breath while closing my eyes and smiling.

Dian had already returned home when the sky turned cloudy. And I, now, am in the living room alone. Stand up, looking out the window. Looking at the pleasant details that are falling and landing on my colored flowers that are currently decorating the side yard of the house. Yes, if the moment is like this, usually me and Firhan close their eyes. Then, on the count of three and slowly opening our eyes, we expect the rainbow to appear. However, if it is still not visible, we repeatedly repeat it. In fact, until the rainbow was only seen when the rain somewhat subsided. I chuckle remembering that. I don't know, the more days, the more I miss him. Love or not. But really, it makes me happy. Again, I smiled as her handsome face started to tease and dance beautifully in my mind.

Could it be that this time was indeed true, that he managed to pull me in the darkness of the past? I don't know.

"Assalamu 'alaikum." Whispering soft voice in the senses of this listener while at the same time, someone was holding me while writhing spoiled on the back which now makes a moment turn to turn to look at the source of the sound.

"Firhan?"

Her sweet smile touched her eyes when she saw it. "That's right, Wa'alaikum salaam, Mrs Firhan." The correction made me smile.

"Wa'alaikum salaam." My father used my words.

"Goody!" Firhan exclaimed, then dyed his cheeks and smiled. Smile's contagious.

"So, what makes my beautiful wife laugh alone?" It was the question that made me laugh.

"What, huh?"

"Nesya. "his moan was spoiled and again made me chuckle.

He deliberately put on an annoyed look. However, only a smile was visible. "I'm happy to see you laughing and smiling like that" he murmured after my stiffness subsided.

His hands are now moving to his face. I smiled and looked into his eyes. As if, there's a beauty there that I don't want to miss.

"I'm also happy to see that beautiful smile of yours, Mr. Handsome," I muttered and made him chuckle.

"That's because you're the cause. Because, your laughter and your smile. Because, your sincerity and love. Because, your prayer and your spirit. I'm like this, because my great wife,” admit to me softly while smiling.

His round brown eyes looked sparkling and it made me hate to see them. It's like there's sadness there.

"Geez, your hair is wet like this, why is it still left?" my question diverted and instead his hand moved to my waist, pulled it, then clenched the one that seemed not to let me get away from him, when I was about to get a towel.

"Fir, let me go. I should get you a towel, maybe your head will hurt," My request looked at him as he squirmed and his hands clenched tightly to my waist.

The man simply smiled at me in his teasing gaze without a word.

"Please, Fir?" My heart was clear to her and the smile on the man's face widened to touch her eyes like teasing.

"Don't!"

His words made me stop squirming and look at him questioningly.

"Don't call me that! I've become a father-to-be and my little angel is in there." And then, and it made me smile.

"Then?" I asked the tease that I now have this hand tied around his neck, wringing spoiled.

"So call me papa" she asked, but it sounded urgent. This weirdness is heard.

"Yes, dear Papa." Lirihku smiled in a deliberately mocking tone, but it did not bother him and even made him show a satisfied smile.

Firhan clenched tightly to my waist, stared fixedly, then blew these eyes and instantly shut these eyes.

His coldness sounded again which I retorted just by looking at him smiling.

"All right! Give me a chance to get you a towel." Firhan glanced at me and again made me smile.

"Surprisingly, my husband was suddenly flirtatious and aggressive like this!" I grumbled until he laughed. Then, kiss this forehead.

When I was about to kiss her forehead as well, I painstakingly tiptoed to be able to grab her. But, just the mocking ruckus I heard from his mouth and made me look at him with a smile. Firhan smiled and lowered his face to me. And happily, I smiled and kissed her forehead.

With a radiant look on his face, his hand had slipped off my waist.

I then passed while holding a smile and rushed to get a towel for her. I think my cheeks are heating up.

Today our dinners are indeed Fumigated Kangkung, Oseng Tempe Tahu, and Teri Asin Oyster Sauce. It was Firhan's favorite menu. In fact, the day after our marriage, he made the dish. Really, it keeps me from thinking. A noble-blooded man who was raised with luxury, liked this simple meal in my opinion.

"Darling, what's wrong? Your stomach hurts?" His voice again jerked me from the daydream that instantly made me clumsy and involuntarily changed my sitting position. I shook my head while smiling.

"By the way, Dian was here this afternoon." Instead I tell after a thud.

"Oh, huh?" His mouth was in disbelief and his face looked radiant.

"I'm glad, at least the chatter helped you kill the boredom of being home alone."

A smile while nodding my approval seemed. We then eat. It did not take long, finally finished and mingled for a while in the living room, then moved to the room when we started to get sleepy.

Firhan is currently sleeping on my lap, as my arm caresses her hair like a child. He occasionally yawned and glanced at me which sometimes our eyes met and only a smiley reply appeared. While I was, still absorbed and absorbed in the Qur'an that I was reading from earlier. This ritual is deliberately used every time I want to sleep. After saving my bible, then reading do’a the humming of the Qur'an and peeping this book. A big offended smile with the sweetness I let towards my husband. His hand now holds my hand warm.

"Sleep dong, dear Mama. If it hurts, how?" her door pleaded in her seduction.

"Yes, this is going to sleep too." Obedu smiled.

Scroll at a glance, it's already twenty-three past. My husband got up and changed his sleeping position. As I lay down to rest and sleep, my phone rang. I grabbed it on the table. For a moment, we looked at each other.

Who calls these nights?

Firhan nodded to agree reassuringly, as I looked at him doubtfully, then after a long sigh, finally at the ringing to the other time, I then answered the phone.

"Hello?" lirihku hesitated while biting his lips after touching and sliding the screen of the phone.

"Assalamu'alaikum first, dear," whispered Firhan next to me correcting.

I looked at him for a moment, then smiled as he glanced at me with his innocent face.

"Assalamu'alaikum." Trying ulang.

"Well, right, it's good to hear." Again, my husband came back to tease with his tease that this time his voice was not whispering, but quite noisy. I immediately put my phone away and looked at it.

"Darling, I answered the phone. " My complaint which was again responded by glancing with his innocent face towards me. He smiled widely.

"Hello, who is this?" ask me to try again when I put the phone again in the senses of my listener.

No sound, just silence.

"Whoever is in your heart." Back, Firhan's soft voice still pestered seductively.

I just let out a sigh of resignation as I looked at her smiling for a moment and then, "Mr. Firhan Pradipta Zayn?" my friend looked at him begging.

"Yes, Mrs. Star Elnesya Zayn?" he said with an innocent face that made me smile, when he heard the incorporation of the last name. He purposely put his last name, behind my name.

"Please?”

"All right." He nodded, then kissed my cheeks quickly and chuckled. He lay down and did not bother me anymore. That silly sweetness made me smile looking at her for a moment.

"Hello?" I tried one more time.

"Nesiah?"

That hoarse bass sound was clearly heard in my ears and instantly made this face change which was followed by a slumped shoulder.

I could not return my husband's questioning gaze, who was immediately astonished to see the change in my expression and attitude. He got up and took the phone away from me, but it was disconnected. Her warm long hand had gently squeezed my hand.

"Darling, what's wrong? Please, speak?" the door was panicked and anxious. However, still quietly sculpted unmoved. Like my whole nerve is numb. And in a moment, I felt tears dripping down.

Feels cold. It was like I felt a body sink to the bottom of the Atlantic with a cold so biting and piercing every vein.
