CHAPTERS. 40 Is Still Grey

William ended their sex with a collapsed body next to Briana lying on the bed. The breath of both of them stung with the rest of the pleasure they still felt.

Briana cupped William's face lying next to her and then gave a glimpse of the man's lips.

"Now it has been proven that I really love you" Briana said.

William stared fixedly at Briana. He did not reply but he nodded his head making the woman smile sweetly at him.

Briana tightly hugged William's innocent body and then buried her face in the field of the man. Briana is happy to be honest with William if she loves him.

"I want our marriage to be legalized" Briana said.

"Do it." William lowered his head to look at Briana's expression.

Briana smiled happily with a sweet smile that adorned the lips of the woman.

"After legalizing our marriage, I want us to have a reception too" Briana said.

"Many things she wants." Without William noticing his hand raised against Briana's nose made the woman smile even more.

"Not really, I just want one of you." Briana pressed William's chest using her index finger.

Now William's lips also smile to see Briana smiling happily with him. There is a sense of pride in himself can make the woman who is with him happy.

William pulls Briana's chin.

"When did you start loving me?" tanyanya.

"I don't know exactly when I love you, but I feel like I lost you when you went to Borneo. My heart feels empty no you, I miss you too until I finally invite Linda to follow you to Kalimantan," Briana said honestly.

Briana no longer wants to avoid her feelings and cover up the fact that she loves the man. As much as possible Briana would be honest with herself and William for the sake of the integrity of their household.

"You're following me to Borneo?" ask William not to believe it.

"Yes Liam, I'm following you to Borneo" Briana's reply made William recall Reyhan's words at the time.

William thinks Reyhan said it was just to keep him from leaving but he didn't. His father-in-law did not lie to him.

"When did you follow me to Borneo?" ask William.

"Two weeks after you left my village and Linda followed you to Kalimantan. The address you gave me was very far away. After boarding the plane for an hour I had to take a taxi for more than 10 hours, after which I took a speed boat, and still again took an ojek. I was even seasick. I was vomiting, my body was limp but I didn't care because I wanted to see you. But after I got to that address I didn't find you. I'm mad at you, Liam, you've been playing tricks on me by giving me a fake address when I really hoped to find you but I'm actually disappointed." Briana's beautiful eyes glazed over as she told William that.

William feels guilty to Briana, he did not expect if there would be people who are looking for a fake address that he gave Reyhan, especially that person is Briana's wife who never considered him a husband.

"Sorry I didn't mean to give you a fake address. But at that time I did not know who to give home address when Daddy asked for my home address. So I just gave her the address of the house" William said.

"Whose home address are you able to write down to the house number?" ask Briana curiously.

"The house is one of hundreds of houses that I give to people who are underprivileged and do not have a home" William replied.

"really? Is that so you're giving someone else a home?" tanya Briana made sure.

William nodded making Briana even more amazed at him. Moreover, William did not expose his social spirit to the public and effectively kept it secret.

The eyes that had been glazed, now the water was dripping on the cheeks with no power to hold back the happy cries.

William stared at Briana who was shedding tears. His hands stretched out to wipe and gently rubbed the tears.

"Why crying?" ask William slowly.

"I cried because Liam was happy. I am so happy to have a husband like you. Forgive me for never considering you a husband and always humbling you" Briana said sincerely.

"Here you don't cry. If you are happy, you should smile, not cry. It's going to be ugly now," William's comfort makes Briana smile again.

"Thank you Liam, you will forgive me and accept me again." Briana tightened her embrace on William's body.

With this close distance, the two people who were hugging could feel their heartbeat beating so fast.

William does not deny that he feels comfortable with Briana. Not only this time he felt that comfort but since they were tied to marriage even though Briana treated him not well.

William breaks down Briana's arms and invites her to take a bath with him.

"After taking a shower, I'll take you home" William said.

"really? Does that mean you want to stay in Daddy's house again?" briana asked hoping.

"No. I'll just take you and then I'll go home to my own house" William replied, making Briana's smile slowly fade.

"Why are you going to your own house?" ask Briana.

"I don't want to trouble my in-laws. After our marriage is legalized, I'll invite you to stay at my house too" William said.

There is a sense of pleasure and disappointment now Briana felt because of hearing the words of William who would invite him to stay at the man's house.

"Why don't you invite me to live in your house now?" ask Briana.

"can't. Let's take a shower." William got off the bed first and then carried Briana's body to bring her into the bathroom.

Briana looked at the face of William who was holding himself. Somehow Briana felt that her love for William was not avenged.

But the sweet treatment of the man who is now helping to cleanse the body makes Briana feel the sincerity of the man to her.

Everything is still gray whether William already loves him or not Briana does not know. Moreover, the man never returned his love.

"You put on your clothes first. I still want to take a shower" William said after finishing helping Briana take a shower.

Briana nodded then walked slowly out of the bathroom with her body wrapped in a towel.

William flushed his body under the shower. He just stood with his head lowered allowing the water coming out of the shower to wet his entire body.

Both of William's hands were clenched as if he wanted to scream. But scream for what, because he also did not know why he wanted to scream.

Is it because he wants to be with Briana but still loves Sabrina? Or because he loves Briana but can't forget Sabrina?

William was really angry at himself who could not control his feelings.
