CHAPTERS. 37 Briana Surprised

After ending his remarks William and Brian held the scissors together then cut the ribbon indicating that the Darwin Transport company was officially opened.

Prok prok prok's.

The applause from everyone in the ballroom made Brian nod respectfully to the applause.

Briana and her parents also stood up and applauded Brian, who was now able to establish his own company.

William spoke again making everyone turn their attention to the man.

Brian himself does not matter if the inauguration of his company is controlled by William and he drowned with the man's achievements as long as Briana's mouth can be gagged and not demeaning William anymore.

"I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen if I'm here to speak again. I would like to introduce a woman whom I have only been married for a few months." William paused for a moment to look at Briana's expression.

Briana was still staring at him with an amazed expression.

"The woman is Briana Alesya Darwin" William continued to make Briana stunned.

Briana's mouth even gaped at the big screen on the podium showing a wedding photo of herself and William taken at the house of RT when they were newly married.

William Horrison was her husband.

"No. There's no way William Horrison's Liam's my husband." Briana shook her head in disbelief when the perfect man before her was her husband.

William came down from the podium and then approached Briana who was still staring in disbelief at him.

"You ...." Briana did not continue her words.

"Yes. I'm Liam, your personal driver who married you" William said.

Briana stepped back to hit Larissa who was behind her body. Briana's body also felt weak. She was shocked to learn that Liam, the poor driver who became her husband, was not an arbitrary person.

"Where are you okay?" tanya Larissa propped up Briana's body that was about to collapse.

"No! You can't be Liam the poor driver" Briana said with a pale face.

"Bri, Bri." Larissa patted Briana's cheek because the woman actually fainted in her arms.

"How is it Mas, Briana fainted," said Larissa in a panic.

Reyhan did not reply but the middle-aged man rushed to carry Briana for him to bring one of the rooms in the office.

Larissa glanced at William's face and followed her husband who had walked out of the ballroom.

William smiled with satisfaction at Briana's shock until the woman fainted. He did not catch up with his parents-in-law who brought Briana because he knew his wife was fine and was just shocked.

"Aren't you lying Willy?" ask Irene.

William turned his body and saw that his parents were nearby. The man looked at Irene and Julian's face alternately.

"Yes, I'm not lying Mah, Pah. Briana and I were married two months ago" William replied.

How happy Irene and Julian were to hear William's reply. Those who were waiting for William to get married, and expected Briana to be his daughter-in-law, finally materialized.

"But I'm going to do it" said William then passed away in front of Irene and Julian.

The look on Irene and Julian's face changed instantly. Irene even chased after William who had left her face.

"Why do you want to run it?" ask Irene.

"Because we didn't love each other and we married it because we had to" William replied without stopping his footsteps.

"No Willy, you can't run it," prevented Irene from stopping William's footsteps.

"Whatever I decide, no one can prevent it." William continued his footsteps leaving Irene, who was still glued to her son's departure.

Larissa applied eucalyptus oil, on Briana's feet, palms and also the woman's nose.

It didn't take long for Briana to finally open her eyes. The woman circulated her gaze to look for William's whereabouts in the room.

"You looking for Liam?" ask Larissa.

"Am I a dream, Mom? How could Liam, the poor driver I always despised, be William Horrison?" ask Briana.

"No! You're not dreaming, Bri. William Horrison is your husband Liam. Mommy was surprised too but Mommy wasn't as surprised as you were fainting" he said later.

"I'm ashamed Mom. I'm ashamed of Liam because it turns out he's not a random person" Briana said.

"Mommy and Daddy have reminded you many times, never to demean others. Appreciate others, but you never listen to Daddy and Mommy. You kept putting Liam down and now you're ashamed of him" Larissa said.

Briana nodded her head.

"I'm sorry Mom," said Briana.

"You don't have to cry. All you need to do right now is apologize to Liam because you once humbled him." Larissa wiped the tears that were dripping on Briana's cheeks.

"What if he won't forgive me and even yell at me?" ask Briana.

"Mommy believes Liam won't do that" Larissa said.

On the other hand William who left the ballroom is now walking out of the Darwin Transport office building.

William does not care if he has not confirmed Briana's condition is fine or not because he knows Briana also never cared for him.

William does not know Briana actually cares about him even followed him to Kalimantan because he was worried about him.

"Wait for Liam."

The voice stopped William's hand, which was about to open the door of his car.

"Didn't you want to see Briana faint?" ask Reyhan.

"I'm sorry I'm busy."

"Is this your true nature?" reyhan asked William who was about to open the car door was stuck again.

"Honestly, I'd rather you be my son-in-law Liam than William Horrison" Reyhan said.

"I'm sorry, but I'm William Horrison" William said.

"I should also be angry and disappointed with you for lying to me and my family with your identity as a poor man applying for a job. But I don't feel that way because I've really made you a son-in-law which means you want that poor driver Liam, or William Horrison, a wealthy businessman, you will remain my son-in-law" Reyhan said.

"You don't have to do that anymore because I'm going to run Briana" said William, who surprised Reyhan.

"Why do you want to run it?" ask Reyhan.

"You already know the answer, because Briana never treated me as a husband" William replied.

"But that was Liam, I'm sure Briana has changed now" Reyhan said.

"Changed? Yes of course he changed, that's because he knows I'm rich now" William said with a cynical smile.

"No Liam, Briana has changed since you came home. He even followed you to Kalimantan," Reyhan said, making William surprised to hear.

William only found out if Briana followed him to Kalimantan when he returned home.

Now he is worried about continuing his marriage or looking at Briana and ending the loveless marriage.
