“Darling, not if you are married? His first night must have been overshadowed by Non Maula. The guy he's sticking around everywhere. If you are a child, gapapa. But he is already big.”
“Ha ha ha ..”
“Deg!”
It felt like a sword was slamming into his heart.
Like thousands of needles pierced through his thin skin.
Or maybe it's like a kitchen knife chopping up meat and bones.
The maula did not expect that their light conversation, punctuated by jokes, could penetrate into the deepest recesses. So hurt her heart and feelings. He ran to the bathroom. Stand in front of the mirror. His breathing suddenly became congested.
“Yes I am cruel.”
“I'm a selfish sister.”
“Police.”
“Making Her Brother tormented.”
“But ... Other than my brother, who else am I leaning on? I have no one.” Suddenly he looked down to tidy up the line of tears that were flowing and dripping onto the floor.
In the cold bathroom, Maula hid her guilty feelings. From his eyes that began to get wet he kept staring at his own face full of probes.
“I'm not a kid anymore. I have to be independent.” Try to convince and strengthen yourself before finally getting out of hiding.
Before long he walked past Ariel who was still sitting in the living room. His slow steps with a straight look towards the porch of the house, he still stepped regardless of Ariel's call since he passed in front of him.
Two lovebirds clutched in a laugh. I don't know what they were talking about until it looks like Risa occasionally patted Khayru's shoulder which was replied with a smile while rubbing a trace of clap.
Maula watched it from behind the slightly open window curtain. He didn't realize that Ariel was following him.
“Ngintip, yes?” ariel's whisper was a little shocking and made her return to the study.
“Do not worry, if they marry, I will always be there for you,” Ariel's chatter sounds annoying, but it seems like she sincerely offers friendship.
“In your opinion ... will they marry?” ask Maula. He pretended to be busy doing the exercises.
“It looks like yes.”
Suddenly, Maula showed her little finger. “Still want to meet me?” Of course Ariel welcomed him with pleasure. Since then, they have become more familiar. There is hardly any more strife like before. What Maula needs right now is a friend who can replace Khayru so that she does not rely too much later on.
This morning, Khayru's car stopped right in front of the school gate located on the edge of the highway. The atmosphere is no different from ordinary days at the entrance and return to school. Always boisterous with students passing by and a dizzying traffic jam. At the gate was clearly a writing.
Take me here only.
Get me when it's time.
This is clear, the goal is not to occur the accumulation of guardians who are dropping off and picking up, but still, they come in through the gate even to the front of the class.
“Cepet down. Can be reprimanded if later here.”
Maula kissed Khayru's hand and got out of her car.
“Abang don't have to pick me up, yeah. Going home to play at Ariel's house first,” he exclaimed as he ran through the gate.
“Heyy ...! who makes the game play?!”
Khayru's voice lost in the air did not reach Maula's ears at all.
“What's with the kid. Lately a lot of play,” muttered Khayru while reapplying his car.
Surprisingly now he always refused to be escorted and picked up everywhere. It is like he has his own world. Even inside the house is rarely seen out of his room. Some of the time he spent chatting with friends his age.
At nine o'clock in the evening, Khayru was still busy in the study room until someone knocked on the door to remind her of dinner.
“Master, dinner's too cold. Want Bibik angetin, no?”
Khayru immediately stared at the clock on the wall. “Oh yes. Not dinner yet.” He put the balpoin in place and got up from his seat.
Moving towards the dining table even though it has started to evaporate. He stared at all the dishes. Suddenly, I remembered the maula. All of a sudden, the hunger is gone.
Khayru accidentally knocked on the door of Maula's room. He was worried and suddenly felt homesick with the girl.
Maula immediately covered her entire body with a blanket as Khayru began to enter her room.
“Abang think you're busy studying. Turns out sleep.”
“Eh ... Pretending to be asleep,” erratied as she watched Maula move under the covers.
Khayru got into bed lying down to face Maula who was not willing to show her face.
“Why are you, anyway?” Slowly she pulled the blanket. But Maula pulled him back.
“Loh, why? Brother is getting curious to be.” Khayru woke up and forcefully pulled the blanket that covered Maula. “Come out, no?!”
“Iya, yes! I'm out!”
Maula sat upright in front of Khayru with a slightly irritated mimic because she had to show her face overgrown with several pimples.
“Wah, I think only the sky only has a star it turns out your face is also a lot of stars,” Khayru chirps while observing the face of Maula and touching her chin.
“Udah, Bang. I want to sleep now.” The maula laid her body back.
“Do not sleep first. Brother get acne medication.”
Khayru went to her room for a while, when she returned Maula had already closed her eyes. She kept putting the medicine on while bringing her face closer.
Slowly, Maula opened her eyes. “The medicine put it on the nightstand, let me pack it myself later,” the katan slowly while returning to close my eyes.
Khayru ignored Maula's words. Only, his heart was asking a little.
“Ran, why do ABG children today have so many pimples?”It's just a prank question.
“Bang .. I want to go therapy to treat Hemophobia,” Maula said suddenly. “I want to heal.”
Khayru frowned. There was a pause before he finally answered Maula's words.
“Why suddenly? Didn't you always refuse?”
“New thoughts. I don't want to yell at a rich madman and then faint at the sight of my own menstrual blood. After all, Brother must also be tired of being a nurse for me.”
“Abang is never satisfied even though a lifetime has to take care of you.”
“Yang is right? I'm not ready if I have to be bullied with Brother's wife, later.”
“Wife?”
Khayru rounded her eyes and smiled. He stared at the goal while summarizing the face of Maula.
“Sleep.” Khayru gave instructions.
“Ariel said, Aunt Risa works at our company.”
“Iya ..”Khayru laid her body, staring straight at the ceiling.
“Do not ask again. Brother wants to sleep.”
“One more.”
“What?”
“Abang will marry the girl you like?”
“Sure,” answers with your eyes closed. Pretending to fall asleep so that Maula stops asking questions and then wakes up again after Maula sleeps. They are equally unaware if the questions and answers are ambiguous.
“Married a liked person.” Khayru recalled Maula's question before she went to sleep and turned her body to face Maula. He reached into a small object that he carried in his pajama pocket.
He lifted the small object above his face, just under the light of the room lamp so that it was scattered on each side of the object.
Before leaving the room, Khayru whispered a soft good night in Maula's ear, and kissed her cheek.
The sun began to swerve from the quarrel, its founder removing the dew points from the foliage. It felt warm in Maula's body as she woke up opening her eyes. As usual, she shuffled towards the bathroom, preparing herself to go to school.
His hands touched the rows of lined toothbrushes. However, his eyes were focused on a small object that suddenly appeared on his ring finger.
“What's good? This is the ring used by Arisan mothers.” Without thinking, Maula went to the edge of the window and threw the ring in any direction.
To be continue ....
