Lunara's Heart

Lunara's Heart
CHAPTER 135

The following days Arief always came home at night. The office hours are only until the afternoon. Always with the excuse of overtime and still the adjustment period, Nia still trusted Arief. Yeah, maybe it was before. Ever since Nia said that she had forgiven Arief's betrayal and never discussed it again in the slightest, it didn't mean that Nia had forgotten. The pain is the same as in the past if you just remember it. So does he not imagine if he now feels suspicious?

Overtime every day for a month. How heavy and how much does Arief work in the office? But again, seeing the tired curate on Arief's face every return makes Nia's heart pity just to ask further.

* * *

"Again today?"

Arief. Nia asked flatly, sounding a bit of a different tone. Is Nia getting suspicious? Then Arief's lips seemed interested.

"I'll finish it as soon as possible. I can go home in office hours"

Said later. Nia still put on her flat face. Moments later Nia seemed to digest Arief's words and seal his face.

"Today I think I'm going to be overtime"

Said Nia. Arief looked straight.

"Oh yeah?"

Wah Arief looks excited. Nia's heart grimaced a little. Then his head nodded answering Arief.

In the afternoon. At around 4pm, Nia rushed out of her boutique. It's not really overtime outside. Maybe yes, but the overtime referred to here is not outside the meaning of his work as a designer, but like a detective who spies on her husband. And here she was, a high-rise building that she knew as her husband's office. He definitely stepped in. But a security guard held him.

"Sorry mom"

The guard said.

"Yes?"

"Sorry before, what business do you have? Because the office is home hours Mom, these employees have been out a lot"

Ahh right too. Nia circulated her gaze, she only realized since earlier that many people had come out of the main door carrying their bags towards the parking lot.

"Hmm I want to find my husband. He's the new manager from Bandung a month ago. His name is Arief"

Obviously Nia.

"Ohh Mr. Arief. I just got home mom. It wasn't long before Mom came"

Answer the security guard.

"Ohh so today he's not overtime huh"

"Veasy? Not today, ma'am. But indeed since Mr. Arief here no one is overtime. I always close my office at home. Yes, it's at this hour, ma'am"

Nia's stomach feels wrapped around. Heart's choked. His chest rumbled irregularly as well. What else is this? Did her husband betray her again? As powerful as Nia resisted the emotional turmoil within her. Try to relax by forcing a smile.

"Jude sir thank you. Excuse me"

He said goodbye to the security guard who replied politely to Nia.

"Hello mas? You where?"

Nia immediately asked as soon as her phone call was answered by Arief.

"I'm still in Nia's office. There's still a bit of work, but I'll be home early, not too late as usual"

Nia's heart melos. How well Arief said that sentence. It was as if lying was easy for him. There was no heavy breathing there. Sounds very true and convincing. It hurts! What lies now? And, what kind of destruction will he face in the future?

"Judek. Mas continue, I closed ya"

Arief.

"You why? How do you sound like that?"

Ahh, Nia closed her eyes. It is very difficult to control sound in the midst of tightness and tear defense.

"Just tired of it. There are a lot of customers today"

The answer is still with closed eyes and deep breaths that are pulled and thrown as slow as possible so that it is not heard by Arief.

"Ohh, jaudah you rest first. Don't be too imposed. I don't want you to be sick, baby"

Hmh! Is Arief also this sweet to his lover. Just thinking about it Nia seemed to be inflamed.

"Hmm Assalamu'alaikum"

Nia just cleared her throat and ended it with a greeting. Arief answered in confusion. Not as usual, but Arief didn't think too much. Maybe Nia is tired. After saving his phone. Arief turned back to the house he had been looking at from behind the car every day for a month. That's all Arief did. He did not seek any information about Lia's family. He was just monitoring, for whatever reason, but he just wanted to see his son. That'sthat's all. Not more. Once satisfied, he will return. This time he remembered his promise to go home early..

Get home. It turns out that Nia had also arrived, was sitting at the dining table with Juan because he had entered dinner time. Arief came in with a greeting and joined in. If Nia used to greet him with a smile, now his wife looks silenced with her face bent.

Nia tries to avoid Arief by talking to Juan

"Ohh, Juan went to Luna's house first. Juan's classmate returned the book that fell in front of the gate. Ehh even invited to lunch with his family"

Juan answered as he continued to eat his food. Then his attention turned to the father who was looking at his mother.

"Well"

Ehh? Arief.

"Yes?"

"On Sunday we went to the bookstore. Juan no longer wants to play futsal"

Her request. Indeed, every Sunday, Arief and Juan have a routine routine that is playing futsal.

"What book do you want?"

Ask Arief curiously.

"Literature"

"Oh"

Arief responded while nodding. No wonder, Arief knew his son liked literary reading. Just like her.

Next day. Nia had intended to follow Arief directly. 30 minutes before the office hours, he was near the office with his secretary's car so as not to be suspected.

Justright. Right at the office, Nia had seen Arief's body coming out to her car. The direction of the car is not opposite to the direction of the house. Trying to squeeze the tightness in his chest. Nia turned on her car engine and followed Arief very carefully.

Arief's car finally stopped. Nia was confused, because the car was stopped behind a big tree. Like they are hiding. Did Arief make a deal with the other woman there? Negative thoughts began to approach Nia.

It's been 2 hours. Nia is getting confused because Arief is not out of the car. Amidst his confusion, Arief's car lights suddenly lit up and moved. Nia quickly followed, apparently her husband's car stopped at a mosque outside the housing complex where Arief stopped under a large tree for nothing.

Arief was seen exiting the car and entering the mosque as he rolled up his shirt arm. Nia was still watching from afar but could still be monitored. Fortunately, he came this month. Moments later, the worshippers were seen starting to return. Arief entered his car and left. Nia still faithfully followed him. And... Back to where it was? What her husband was doing there. It's been an hour and Arief is still loyal there. Nia was getting tired, but her curiosity was stronger.

Meanwhile

"Hello mas?"

"Hello? Why Lia?"

Edi answered his wife, Lia.

"When do you come home? I've been a bit suspicious lately about a black car behind a big tree not far from our house. Every day I see that car there but never once have I seen anyone get out of there. I'm afraid it's the bad guy mas"

It was clearly Lia who did sound worried.

"I never realized, did I? Yaudah I'm coming home in a minute. You and the kids don't leave the house until I come"

Edi said he was also worried.

"Yes mas. Ehhh mas car door open"

"You don't come out, Lia"

Edi is back. While Lia was silent because she was focusing her eyes to see who the person who came out of the car was. Lia was wide-eyed, her shock made her slightly retreat until she smashed into the nearby urn, indeed her eyes could not catch the person's face from that distance. But the posture of the body he recognized. Plus, a stray kitten he was carrying. Arief's? Lia's body stiffened instantly. Arief loves to help wild cats.

He quickly left the house to get to Arief. The man, who is an ex-lover and father of his first daughter, looks like he will take the little boy in his hand to get into the car until finally his activities stop as a woman screams from the front yard of the house this month he watched.

"Mas Arief"

Arief similarly stiffened it and Lia earlier. Their views met for a while.

"Lia... "

Arief muttering. Lia approached, her head unsettled by continuously turning to the left and right.

"Why are you here? I know you come here every day. What's for?"

Lia asked frantically and was full of emphasis in every single word.

"I want to see my son Lia. I don't intend anything. Just wanna see. She's a woman" it turns out"

Said Arief with a wistful and haru smile. Lia let out a weak breath.

"Don't be desperate. Our son is fine, you don't have to worry. Now I beg you to go and lest your presence get us in trouble. We are all happy with our families"

"May I know his name?"
