Lunara's Heart

Lunara's Heart
CHAPTER 76

Nah! Edi did not want to look Luna in the eye. The girl's tears were still a weakness within her. The situation that began to melt even though Edi was still limited by invisible walls that were high. Sipped the remaining coffee that was not too hot in his hand until it ran out. Edi wiped his lips using the back of his hand.

"Sleep, it's late" he said flatly after standing up and walking away towards his room. Luna did not answer, just nodded or shook her head not to respond, nor did she hold Edi back. After the sound of her father's bedroom door being heard closed from inside Luna involuntarily pulled the corner of her lips. Somehow he thought that Edi's response was an answer that said "yes".

Although slowly and gradually Luna received back. However, awkwardness in the house still dominates, especially Yana who is arguably the only mediator of the rift between her parents and her brother is no longer living there. Given that 7 years is not a short time to restore something that was lost. The interaction between Edi, Lia, and Luna is still the same, still mute and indifferent. What is different is only Luna is free to eat food at home even though she has not been able to be alone with her parents. The presence of Luna was not isolated as before, where to show her face she did not have the courage. But now Luna has freely gone anywhere in every corner of the house. Occasionally cross paths with Lia and Edi but there is no reprimand and the rest. Difficult indeed.

"It's a mas" Lia smashed a cup of coffee with smoke still billowing onto the table right in front of Edi's right side.

"Mas" Lia greeted again accompanied by a small sling on her husband's shoulder. Stifling, Edi turned his head with a face that had been neutralized as fast as usual.

"You daydreaming?" Tanya Lia highlighted within.

"Sir" Edi answered briefly then immediately blew the coffee made by Lia in a hurry and then gulped it quickly.

"That's a really early morning tumben?" Vaguely Lia and Edi heard the sound of bi Narti (Household Assistant) approaching from the direction of Luna's room.

"What's so good about a 8 gini set" "Well, it's usually home"

"Today there is a contract signature with the publisher bi, do'ain Luna yes"

"Definitely dong, do'a aunty always made non. Don't forget to eat it later" Luna nodded happily. The last conversation was fitting once in front of the dining table. Lia who saw that was envious. As a mother she could not pay attention to Luna. The housekeeper replaced him.

"Mother Dad, Luna left first yes, Assala-"

"Breakfast first here" Edi cut off Luna's greeting while standing and chugging the white water for a while.

"Assalamu'alaikum" He went overboard before leaving without turning his head. The three people there were glued to their place until Edi's figure was no longer visible. Turning his gaze to bi Narti behind him, Luna saw bi Narti who smiled at her, as well as Luna. But that smile he lowered while turning to Lia who was also looking at him awkwardly.

"Hm Luna let me eat out" Luna felt bad once her eyes met Lia's eyes.

"Sit Lun" Lia said as her hand replaced the plate in Edi's place with a new plate, not to forget he also filled with fried rice and fried chicken flour and some slices of fresh cucumber that has been served. Luna approached and sat down with a stiff movement. Feeling a dream, he never expected Lia to serve him again at this dining table like she used to.

There was no conversation between the two. Luna scooped the fried rice from her mother's dish with quivering lips plus her nose and eyes that slightly reddened because they held back tears. But the longer the clear glass from the eye patch it can no longer be dammed until finally escaped just on the smooth cheeks that he quickly wipe. Lia realized that. Suddenly worried, he asked.

"Why?” Luna shook her head, her cries seemed to be unwilling to stop but strangely Luna even seemed to smile with her hands it continued to wipe away her tears.

"Luna is just happy" Luna said with a tremble. There were all sorts of emotions stirring in his chest full of days. Lia. It hurts to see Luna for the simple reason of expressing happiness from just a small thing like this. Did her daughter suffer so much all this time?. Lia turned her head to another, not wanting to be seen getting dissolved in Luna's tears. He let his first daughter finish her breakfast. Sometimes he smiled secretly looking at Luna's greed. After the last mouthful entered her mouth, Luna quickly grabbed the white water that had been prepared by Lia earlier in between her meals.

"If so Luna departs now yes, fearing that it is too late Bun, Assalamu'alaikum" his pampit hurriedly and did not forget to snatch the hand of the Mother to kiss him before leaving. Lia was only carried away by Luna's quick movements, then warmed up as Luna kissed her hand again after so many years.

"Wa'alaikumsalam, good luck" Lia replied to Luna's greeting. Do not forget to insert a piece of encouraging sentence but still with a flat tone and without turning his head.

"Sure Bun, thank you. Luna departed" Reply with a smile and walked out on the brisk path. This morning he will go through with great enthusiasm. Waiting for a few minutes in front of the fence, finally the online taxi he ordered arrived. Luna immediately grabbed the door and entered. After the taxi was on the road, from a considerable distance a car also seemed to run his car slowly following Luna with a limited distance so as not to be caught.
