A few days had passed, and the rain was pouring down on New York City. Abi was still at home, he was lazy to go to the gym because the rain did not stop. He better get under the blanket, if the rain has subsided then he will leave.
The sound of lightning striking out there, Abigail covered her ears using a pillow. It seemed like the rain was not going to stop, and it seemed like he had to contact Justin to give him the news if he could not go to the gym.
Abi stared at the clock on the wall, but he was reluctant to move because he was comfortable under the blanket but he did not want to make Justin wait.
Inevitably, Abi came out of his warm blanket. What he was thinking about right now was Sarah. Since that time, Sarah has not come to the Gym, nor has Sarah contacted her at all. Sometimes he comes to Sarah's house to look for her but Sarah is not there.
It really makes Abi worried, however Sarah is his best friend. She's afraid something's going on with Sarah, not usually Sarah like this. She even thinks Sarah is mad at her, so Sarah doesn't want to see her again.
Abi walked towards the table, where his phone was. After getting the thing, Abi went back into the blanket. The weather was so cold, even though he was wearing thick clothes and socks. May the rain soon subside because he does not like the sound of lightning that continues to strike out there.
After feeling warm, Abi contacted Justin. I hope Justin tells me because he's not coming. When his phone rang, Justin was in the office. He was also looking at the rain that did not stop while thinking about Abigail. He was worried that the girl had come to the gym where she was pounding rainwater, lest Abi get sick from it.
Justin picked up the phone in his pocket, a smile adorning his face when he saw who was contacting him. While he was thinking about Abi, the girl contacted him.
"Justin, it's me" Abi said.
"I know, what's wrong? You didn't go to a gym in the rain, did you?" ask Justin.
"No, I just wanted to tell you that I can't go" Abi replied.
"It's okay, it's raining so hard. You better rest at home."
"Sorry, you're not waiting for me, are you? I should have called you sooner" Abi said in a guilty tone.
"No, you don't have to worry. It rained so hard, just rest at home."
"Thanks Justin, tomorrow I'll be there sooner and hopefully it won't rain" Abigail said.
"OK," Justin smiled, somehow hearing Abi's voice made him happy.
Abi ended their conversation, he went back to lying down and put his phone next to a pillow. Abi just shut up, thought. Somehow Justin was so kind to her and somehow she remembered Justin's answer every time she asked him about the girl he liked.
He was not a person who liked to think a lot, but it seemed like he had to think about this matter carefully. Abi closed his eyes, recalling the moment he asked Justin about the girl he liked.
"I saw him and he's good."
He remembered Justin's reply and every time Justin answered, the man would look at him first. Abi opened his eyes, his heart suddenly pounding. Justin's just kidding, right?
"No way, Abi!" Abi pulled out the blanket and covered his face.
His heart was pounding even more, he did not dare to think about it any further let alone he had to know himself, he was no one. Harold just left it then how could there be a guy who likes it again?
Abi hugged the pillow, she already wanted to sleep but the sound of the phone shocked her. Blanket is opened, the phone is grabbed quickly.
Abi was so excited to see Sarah contact him, he even sat on the bed and tidied up his messy hair.
"Sara? Is that you?" ask Abigail.
"Abi," Sarah's voice sounded weak even she was heard coughing several times.
"Why? Are you sick?" Abi sounded worried.
"I've been lying down for a few days Abi, no one's been visiting and also looking after me. Can you come today?" pinta Sarah's.
"Gosh, why didn't you tell me," Abi got out of bed in a hurry. Sarah didn't come to the gym. He didn't know his best friend was sick.
"I-I can't reach you" Sarah replied and after that her coughing and sneezing sounds were heard.
"Wait for me, don't go anywhere. I'll be there soon" Abigail said. He walked to the closet to change his clothes.
"I'll wait, and let me know if you want to get to my house" Sarah asked.
"Sure!" Abi turned off his phone and after that, he came out of the room and looked for his mother.
He really doesn't know if his best friend is sick. If he finds out then he'll take care of Sarah and take care of her. Abi is not suspicious at all, he asks his mother to make soup for Sarah even he helps his mother.
She's going to her best friend's house in the rain, she's worried something's going on with Sarah. The soup is ready, the clothes have been replaced. She was ready to go to Sarah's house to see how she was doing.
"Abi's heart, the rain is still heavy" said the mother.
"I know Mom, maybe I'll stay at Sarah's house to be with her" Abigail replied.
"Alright, but you have to be careful because it's slippery" the mother said. Don't let her daughter slip because it's dangerous.
"I know, tell Daddy I'm staying at Sarah's house" Abi kissed her mother's cheek and then she took an umbrella, ready to go to Sarah's house.
The lightning returned, Abi left even though he was afraid. All for his best friend. As a good friend, he has to look after Sarah but unfortunately he does not know if it is a trap made by Sarah.
Sarah came out of the room, a smile expanding as she looked at the man sitting on the sofa. Sarah walks into the kitchen, she'll buy time until Abi comes. After all, the distance of their home was not so far away, with Abigail's innocent disposition, she would definitely tell him when she was about to arrive.
Sarah grinned, she was impatient. Abi hit heavy rain and wind blowing hard to arrive at the bus stop at that time. She did not care about her wet clothes, all she thought about was wanting to go to her best friend's place to see how things were going but in a moment, she would swallow a bitter pill and would be disappointed.
