Finally, Zahra had lunch with Ken at the dinner table in the parlour. Bu Nurma accompanied them and occasionally engaged in conversations with Ken.
For some reason Zahra was looking at the other side of Ken at the moment, the usually cold and hard to conquer man looked different. He was warm and talked a lot to Ms. Nurma. Especially when it comes to children.
Is Ken interested in the thing at the Orphanage? What's interesting? This is just a place where children do not have parents. Does a Ken care about that? It seems strange, but Zahra believes now that Ken does care even have a high social spirit, because Zahra heard quite clearly about the conversation between Bu Nurma and Ken-who did look enthusiastic.
Zahra had her own conclusions about this man named Ken.
Ken wasn't as bad as he thought and everyone else. Ken has a good attitude towards older people, proof Ken is so respectful to Bu Nurma. But why is Ken always cold in the school environment? Ms Tania also said that Ken is difficult to conquer? Even Om Bagas also admitted that the child was very stubborn. What exactly is Ken? Why is Ken not being himself?
After lunch, Ms. Nurma returned to her delayed activities.
Zahra had changed her clothes and hijab, then she approached Ken who had not yet returned home. Does Ken feel at home in this house?
Ken looks around in the backyard of the orphanage, he sees the children of the orphanage studying together on a mat that is spread out there.
Ken sat in a long wooden chair not far from there and Zahra approached him.
"Why haven't you come home yet?" greet Zahra.
Ken turned to Zahra who was standing next to him.
"There is?" ask Ken.
"There is, what?"
"Red medicine is like alcohol."
Zahra fell silent, then without a word she headed towards the parlour area to retrieve the P3K box.
"There's no way" said Zahra, showing Ken the medicine box to be satisfied.
"Here!"
"For?"
"Lo sat here," Ken patted the empty area on the long wooden chair he was sitting on. "Let me help treat the wound on your hand" he continued.
Zahra looked at Ken with round eyes. "No, I can do it myself" he said, shaking his hand in front of the man.
Ken smiled a little, a smile that Zahra rarely saw.
"In that case our friendship is void!" exclaim Ken lightly.
Zahra gulped her saliva hard. Looks like it's his chance to persuade Ken to do that tutoring.
Zahra immediately took a position and sat down next to Ken and gave Ken a P3K box.
Ken picked up the medicine box, grabbed the alcohol and cotton and signaled that Zahra's injured hand was thrust towards him.
According to Zahra, Ken held her tiny hand and it was enough to disrupt the synchronization of Zahra's brain. Ken's treatment makes Zahra feel soft like jelly.
Zahra watched Ken who was busy treating the wound in his hand.
"www..." Zahra grimaced too as the alcohol in her breath touched the wound in her hand.
Ken remained silent, then slowly he blew the wound in Zahra's hand painfully. Zahra was so amazed to see the scene, she melted aka melted.
"Astagfireullah! Looks like my brain is starting to erorr!" The inner Zahra self-curses when she admires Ken in her heart.
Zahra gasped and pulled out her hand which was still held by Ken so quickly.
"Not finished!" ken protest is slow.
I don't know why Zahra got so nervous. "Just let me. I-I can do it myself," he said.
Ken opened the red medicine lid and handed the medicine to Zahra.
"Ma-thank you," said Zahra lowered her head, she remained nervous. Then Zahra started giving red medicine to the wound in her hand.
"My name is Zahra Alhana."
Ken nodded his head.
"If so, I call you Hana too" he said.
"Why?" Zahra turned to Ken who did not turn his attention to the scene ahead.
"Gue prefers Hana over Zahra" said Ken slowly and he suddenly turned to Zahra until their eyes collided with each other.
Long enough they looked like that, the situation reminded Zahra when Ken first came to him in class, they also had this look even though at that time they did not know each other.
Zahra immediately lowered her head, realizing that Ken was looking at her with a deep gaze that was hard to decipher.
Ken cleared his throat, as if melting the atmosphere that had been award.
"You Zahra or Hana are the same, that's me too, right? Zahra and Hana are the same person." said Zahra at last.
Ken had a small smile, an invisible smile in Zahra's eyes and only Ken knew it, if Ken was smiling right now because he heard the comment Zahra gave.
"But Zahra sucks, always following me like a chick! Always forcing me to learn!" Suddenly Ken chuckled softly, he remembered Zahra who had always been by his side lately. Either get her in school, or wait for her on the basketball court. Every hour of rest rang, Zahra must have immediately appeared to take the opportunity to persuade him to join the bill.
Zahra also chuckled at Ken's words, especially she did not expect that Ken could say to laugh like this, beside him. The Ken he knew in these few months was the stiffened Ken, who if his smile could be sold, would probably be given a very expensive price.
"Then if Hana? Different, so?" zahra asked to confirm Ken's continued assessment of him.
"If Hana, I only knew her today at the Panti" said Ken with a slanted smile.
Zahra smiled slightly. "Then?" tanyakanya.
"From my judgment, Hana was .. pretty good," Ken said with a smile.
"Milk?" asked Zahra. He did not know what Ken meant from behind the word 'lumayan.
Ken nodded, not explaining further, then he stood up from his seat.
"Gue back.. I still have other business!" Ken was wearing his backpack that had been placed next to him.
Then without another word, Ken lifted his foot towards the front of the building.
"Ken!" peekit Zahra's.
Ken looked.
"Be careful." said Zahra reflexively, inexplicably she said the word to Ken.
Ken just smiled a little, then stepped further and further away. Zahra wanted to take Ken to the front gate, but somehow he stopped. Zahra only looked at Ken's departure from his position.
Ken seemed to greet Bu Nurma who was at the end there with a smile growing, then Ken really went from the Panti area.
"Sir Hana .. here!" Pekik Keysia, one of the 5th grade elementary school children who sat on the mat with other children who were studying together.
Zahra went up and approached the children.
"Where? Is there anyone who doesn't understand?" ask Zahra to the children of the home.
All the children of the orphanage were scrambling to show their school PR to be checked back by Hana.
Zahra is the oldest child in the village. Actually when he was a child many wanted to adopt him, but the introverted Zahra did not want to leave the orphanage. He was afraid of being adopted by the wrong people. His immature little brain, already able to estimate a lot of negative things if he adopted others who are not all good people. I don't know, but he always avoids if there are guests who want to know him more closely.
Until he was a teenager, he was still loyal to be an orphanage child, while friends who were his age had been adopted by many others.
Gradually, Zahra felt more comfortable in the home and openly rejected everyone who wanted to care for her, so now she lives in the home with small children who are far from her age. But he remains happy. She strives to be better and can be a role model for all the children who know her. Zahra always tried not to disappoint them all. For Zahra, all the children of the orphanage were his family.
