LOVE WINARSIH

LOVE WINARSIH
62. Wait for me in your Town

After kicking Disty's cover to the ground floor, Dean walked into his room and immediately packed some clothes and lay on his bed.

He's been trying to dial his wife's cell phone number ever since. But the number is in an inactive state. Dean guessed surely his wife's phone had not had time to charge the battery since arriving at the hospital.

Dean had already scrolled through the contacts list on his phone intending to contact Novi, but when he glanced at the wall clock it showed almost one in the morning, Dean put his phone back on. He thought his wife might have gone to sleep.

He misses Winarsih. He wanted to see his wife, wanted to look at the eyes that always looked at him in the shade.

Recalling something he had done, Dean reopened the phone and scrolled the screen looking for a box that read 'gallery'.

With a single touch of his finger, Dean was now watching a short video showing himself kissing Winarsih very intimately.

Dean breathed a long and heavy sigh. He misses his innocent wife.

It was almost morning, but his eyes were not sleepy even though his body was tired.

If Disty enters his house in a cunning way, exploiting his naive mother and taking too much affection for her good name in the world, then Dean intends to teach one important thing to his former lover.

It's time for Disty to forget about their past.

Dean no longer cared about the woman's threats. From now on he will do what he wants. Although he had to bet with the happiness of his little family.

Because Dean believes one phrase, a life that never bets, will never be won.

Dean wants to see who's stronger. Disty or his wife.

**********

That night, Winarsih slept with her mother on a bench outside the ICU hallway.

Yanto currently uses underprivileged public health services provided by the government for free..

After being satisfied crying earlier, Ms. Sumi fell asleep with her shoulder rested Winarsih. The two women leaned against each other's heads. Not far from where they slept by leaning his head against the wall.

Winarsih had forced the woman to go to the hotel because she now felt safe with her mother. Winarsih also hesitated if he had to constantly trouble the woman.

But again Novi refused and insisted to remain in the hospital. Before the woman fell asleep, she said that tomorrow morning would invite Winarsih to see a doctor.

Winarsih's troubled mind saw Yanto lying unconscious with an oxygen tube in his mouth, slightly taking his mind off Dean's reception that night.

Almost at one in the morning, his eyes were sleepy but his stomach was very hungry.

Winarsih tried to close her eyes in order to quickly pass through the dark sky back then.

**********

"Mom, Ms. Winar" Novi touched Winarsih's hand that was lying on her lap.

Winarsih immediately opened her eyes and straightened her body. Sumi's mom is invisible. The old woman may be on the toilet to clean herself or change clothes.

"Yes Mba Novi," said Winarsih still blinked eyes with tired eyes. It turned out that the hospital hallway had been crowded with people passing by.

"Yanto opened his eyes Ma'am" Novi told Winarsih.

"Huh? Yanto opened his eyes?" half jumped Winarsih standing up.

"Yes ma'am, now being examined by a doctor. Ms. Sumi was in the bathroom that was a little far away at the end. When Yanto realized earlier, I immediately called the doctor. Mrs Winar just wait here first,"

Not much later, from a distance seen Bu Sumi who came closer to them by carrying a plastic package.

"Where's mom from? Ma'am Novi said, Yanto had just opened his eyes," Winarsih ran a little towards his mother.

"Don't run, Win" his mother screeched.

"Yanto opened his eyes Ma! Yanto wake! Maybe Yanto kangen Winar ya Bu," Winarsih back sobbing.

"Maybe Win, maybe. Mother never knew. Yanto can't tell me what he's feeling. Sometimes he asks about you,"

Sumi stood in front of the glass wall and looked at the doctor who was examining Yanto.

From outside the glass wall, Yanto looked to the left and right as if he was looking for his mother.

"Wait a minute, Mom, maybe the doctor will be done checking. Yanto can be looked inside" said Novi who is now standing next to them.

A moment later, the doctor folded his stethoscope and put it in his pocket. It seems that Yanto has finished checking.

Impatiently waiting, Winarsih pulled her mother to the front door of the ICU room.

"How's Doc? Will my child be healthy again?" Sumi immediately asked a question.

"Look Bu, now Yanto is conscious, and I can make sure his condition is stable. But because Yanto's heart disease is a congenital disease, he actually had to be operated on as a child. To minimize the risk of disease that is certainly also carried by chromosomal abnormalities,"

"The current course of action is essentially temporary. One day, sooner or later Yanto will still need surgery. The drugs consumed were only temporary," explained the Doctor who was still standing at the door occasionally looking back to see Yanto.

"Free Mom, still free. But the mother's sibling's name will be on the queue list. Heart surgery is a lot of. In one day can be done as many as 2 to 3 times heart surgery here," replied the man's doctor.

"How long is the wait until Doc's in that queue?" ask Winarsih again.

"The waiting period for heart surgery patients can be approximately 6 months to 1 year,"

"The old one turned out," muttered Winarsih. He wasn't sure his brother could wait that long.

"If the bill pays for itself, how much does this operation cost Doc?" ask Winarsih again.

"The operating cost of VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) is about 100 to 250 million"

Winarsih looked lethargic and ended her question. The doctor left after saying that before lunchtime, Yanto will be transferred to the hospital room as soon as possible because the ICU room will be used by new patients.

**********

Time has shown almost 1 pm but Yanto has not been moved. Novi had bought him a box of lunch that he immediately ate until he was left unnoticed.

His body is very tired, but it feels unable to leave Yanto with a fate that is not yet clear.

Winarsih sat leaning her head against the wall with her body leaning, facing the glass room where Yanto was. At this time his mother was inside, trying to talk to the teenage boy.

"Bu Winar, this is my phone that has charged the battery and I turn it on" said Novi who was standing next to Winarsih.

"Thank you, Ms. Novi, I forgot to have this thing" Winarsih reached out to receive her phone.

With a lethargic face Winarsih wiped his phone screen and opened the messaging application.

84 Unread messages. Everything from Dean.

Win, where are you?

Already arrived?

How is Yanto?

Have you eaten?

Wins...

Where did you sleep tonight?

Is your mother healthy?

Ms. Winar don't cry much, yes,

Win, are you asleep?

What is our baby? Today did not take care of his mother, right?

Miss Winar, I miss you.

Winarsih read slowly one by one the message as if worried that the row of sentences would run out quickly and too little.

I could not feel her tears trickling down reading a row of messages from Dean.

Miss Winar has breakfast?

The phone is dead, right?

Win, wait for me

Don't go anywhere. We take care of Yanto together

Winarsih wiped her tears.

"Mom. I've been nyampe" whispered Dean in his wife's ear.

He had only arrived a moment ago and had been next to his wife who was diligently reading a series of messages from him.

Winarsih immediately turned around and hugged her husband's neck.

"You miss Ma'am." muttered Dean as he kissed his wife's head.

Novi who was sitting not far from the place, seemed to smile at his boss who turned out to be very sweet towards the simple woman he accompanied last night.
