“Why come suddenly, Jen?” asked Dinan who had just entered his room.
“Dadap? I don't have your number, Dinan. If I have I will tell you before coming,” said Jenny who was sitting on the sofa room Dinan.
The man approached Jenny and sat down in front of the girl who was dressed up very beautiful. Dinan watched Jenny from top to bottom, then back up again. That girl is much more changed than when they were together.
“Say, what do you need to come?” dinan asked not to be stale.
Jenny smiled happily. “You must be happy when you find out I'm coming, right? Until martial came to the office when I heard I came.”
“You know the problem, right, Jen? So just explain.”
Jenny breathed a rough breath, “You are not as fun as you used to be, Nan,” said Jenny moaning lightly. He looked at Dinan with seductive eyes, “my offer still happens. We can get married and the land you will get.”
Dinan smiled happily, “I prefer your first offer first, about the land for the housing. What still happens?” ask Dinan calmly.
Jenny snorted in annoyance. He looked at Dinan with dislike eyes. “You know it's just my book. My main offer is land in that parlour!” jenny snapped with a growl.
“Is the Barata family already on the move because the orphanage's child was moved?” ask Dinan to investigate.
“Information is expensive, I offer you great success, but you are like this instead, Dinan!”
Dinan smiled happily(again) “my guess is right, so far the Western family is silent because they do not want to take care of the orphanage, let alone look for a new place that is more worthy of them. Hence they were silent, including when I won the auction. After the orphanage child is moved, they immediately move, because there is no more burden that will trouble them.”
“Dinan!” jenny did not like the words of Dinan.
“I'm right, Jen? The Barata family is as cunning as you.” Dinan then stood up, “you should just tease the son of the president or the daughter of the minister. Or the son of other officials and businessmen so that you are not banished from the Barata family. I don't need a woman in my life. Creatures like you guys are just trash I have to throw in place.” Dinan then left. Leaving Jenny who was holding back was angry and furious at the man's words.
Jenny's hands clenched, her heart feeling hot. He hit the sofa of Dinan's room while shouting loudly. Cussing with his absorbent vows to Dinan.
While Dinan was already standing in front of Richard's desk, the man noticed a happy-looking Dinan. “Father is fine?” asked Richard doubtfully.
“I'm glad I could make him not wart. I'm also happy to be able to trample on his pride. I'm going home first, you take care of the information about the parlour, Chard. Meet Ms. Irma again, make sure she opens her mouth.”
Richard nodded obediently. Now the man has to put together a schedule for tomorrow. He would meet several people to pursue complete information about the land.
***
Dinan had just arrived at the apartment. He walked slowly while opening the tie he was wearing. The man stepped into the living room, about to go to the kitchen for a drink. There he saw Layla wearing a nightgown, busy cutting onions. Dinan gritted his lips in annoyance.
“You're still sick, why are you cooking like this?” asked Dinan furiously.
Layla was shocked to hear Dinan's voice. He was so focused on working that he didn't realize anyone was coming in from the front door. The girl tried to smile to see Dinan coming home.
“Bored just staying in the room, sir. So I came here to cook,” Layla said.
“You rest, let me cook. Tomorrow you have to be healthy, I do not have time to take care of the sick,” Dinan said taking the knife held by Layla.
The girl smiled happily, she let Dinan take over his job. Layla noticed Dinan slicing an onion from the dining table chair. I don't know why he was smiling indistinctly looking at Dinan's behavior.
“What do you want to eat? let me make it,” continued Dinan.
“Why are you this good on me?” tanya Layla continued their conversation.
Dinan immediately quit his job. “Don't ask me things I don't like, La.”
“I want to know, Sir. I easily fired a lot of women from my office. But for me, you're not as bad as people talk about. Father is good to me, and Father is equal attention to me.”
“I've already explained it, right? I am like this because you are useful to me,” replied Dinan with a ketus, he has returned to continue what he was doing earlier.
“But I'm sure there are more reasons for that. If you only feel you can use it. You won't like this to me. Because you know as bad as you know to me, I will stay here, because I have a debt to, Mr.” explained Layla will opinion.
Dinan flicked his hand in annoyance. He turned around, looking at Layla who was still looking at him. The girl's face looks pale. Dinan scolded her.
“Go rest, I'll drive to the room when it's cooked,” said Dinan chose to give up.
“I want to accompany you here,” reject Layla firmly.
“Then be so quiet, do not say anything and do not ask anything,” said Dinan also firmly.
Dinan turned back, continued his work again. Layla smiled watching Dinan. The man was cute, Layla felt that Dinan did put her heart to herself. It was already seen from the attitude of Dinan who did not impose his will on Layla. It's just that the man was proud to admit it. While Dinan was thinking of Layla for different things, Layla was really his burden.
“Pak, tomorrow my office permission may be, no?” tanya Layla spoke again.
Dinan growled in annoyance. He turned his body again, seeing Layla who was smiling coldly looking at him. Layla was so sure Dinan would not scold her.
“Ask your boss permission! sana” Dinan's orders.
“Loh, Father is also my boss, right?” Layla asked innocently.
“You better get fired. Troubles many people only ..” Dinan rutu. The man resumed his work.
“Really? I'm sure you'll never fire me from the office,” Layla's fishing line again.
Dinan was silent, he did not respond. Not a single shred of thought came into his mind to dismiss Layla after everything was done. In fact, he has not thought about what reason he would give Mr. Marc and Ms. Eva to part with Layla. Dinan just wants the land problem to be resolved soon and his life can return to normal. The man wanted to enjoy his lonely life without being disturbed by others.
“Pak, I heard Mr and Mr. Richard talking about a fire in the home,” Layla said hesitantly.
Dinan turned back around for the umpteenth time, pausing from his job of slicing onions.
“You know about the fire?” ask Dinan to investigate.
Layla shakes. He didn't know the parlor was ever on fire. Even Ms. Irma never told him that at all.
“Then?”
Layla looked at Dinan expectantly. Last night he had a dream about the fire. Layla had no idea what the dream meant, a dream that had come into her sleep many times since she was a child.
“I'm just curious about the fire, sir. Because the parlor means so much in my life.”
Dinan exhaled a rough breath. According to his calculations, Layla was only 3-4 years old when the orphanage experienced a fire. Children of that age are not so good at remembering things, maybe only one or two pieces of events can be remembered at that age.
