Layla noticed that Dinan was so greedy to enjoy her cooking. Although not a five-star restaurant-class menu, the man still enjoyed his cooking without being able to stop.
“How does my cooking taste, Sir?” Layla tried to ask
“Regularly,” replied Dinan ketus.
Layla sneered annoyed. Ordinary what? Dinan looks so greedy. The man added rice to his plate twice.
“Pak, can I ask you something?” layla said again who wanted to confirm her conjecture about Jenny.
“You've asked just now?” asked Dinan flatly.
Layla again sighed in annoyance. The man in front of her really made her growl.
“Not that, sir, but about this afternoon,” Layla said without hesitation because she was already upset.
Dinan was silent and did not respond. He continues to enjoy his dinner, while Layla has not touched the rice on her plate yet.
“What woman was that afternoon the future wife of the Father actually?”
“I never had any desire to get married, how could she be my future wife?” Dinan turned to Layla, he looked at the girl intently.
Layla can be relieved. “Then why did he invite you to get married?”
Dinan let out a rough breath, “Is that all you heard in my room last afternoon?” Dinan asked back.
“What is Father and he talking about?”
“You are completely useless, is it only a matter of marriage? just love? can't your life be more than that?”
Layla was speechless, she did not listen too much to the conversation of Dinan and Jenny this afternoon. The girl instead focused on Jenny's marriage invitation to Dinan.
“Love is more than anything, sir. I lived in an orphanage, a life without love that I never had. For that I want the complete love of my partner, to go through the rest of my life with a beautiful story,” Layla argues straightforwardly.
“Love it just drives people crazy. Because love can do anything, including doing the wrong thing. What do you expect from such a thing?”
“But with love we can be respected, appreciated and loved. Is there anything more beautiful than living with all that, sir?” Layla debates Dinan.
“Do you feel I don't appreciate and respect you?”
Layla was silent for a while. He watched as Dinan waited for his answer. The woman misbehaved, and began to bribe the rice into her mouth. His mind felt not too calm, for some reason he discussed the matter in front of Dinan.
“By the way, Mr was there need what to call me to the room, Mr?” Layla diverted their discussion.
“Well, I just remembered. The orphanage will be moved soon, the new land for them is ready. At the latest the next two days they will occupy that new place.”
“Are you sure to move them this fast? I think you should follow the advice of Mr. Marc.” Layla tried to give advice.
“What do you mean by Father?” ask Layla doubtfully.
“I have complied with your wishes for the orphanage children, so thank me by helping me face Dad,” said Dinan flatly, he stood up and left the dining table. The plate was empty, the man had finished dinner.
Layla was pensive there herself. He had never even thought of leaving Dinan. In the girl's mind, she wanted to be on Dinan's side at least until the land problem was over and Dinan didn't get in trouble because of it. Now he felt really uncomfortable, and somehow a tear dripped from the corner of his left eye.

Every night Layla always sat in a lounge chair, looking at the night sky which featured the stars. Although the stars of the night were not as many as usual, Layla remained there waiting for Dinan to finish work. The girl fills her time by playing mobile phone to reply to messages with Bayu. Ah, Layla's feeling was hollow. Even Bayu could no longer make his heart flutter like it used to.
No matter how long Layla was there, she didn't even realize how much time had passed. Dinan came to the girl there. He sat on the floor, right next to Layla who was busy replying to Bayu.
“You are sleepy?” ask Dinan.
Layla was shocked for a moment, she was misbehaved and excited to hide her phone from Dinan. Dinan looked at Layla's nervous behavior with a flat face.
“Father why sit below?” asked Layla who felt disrespectful to Dinan. He was about to stand up, but Dinan held his hand.
“Sit down, there is no need to feel bad about me,” Dinan warned Layla.
The girl felt the warmth of Dinan's hand in her hand. For a while later he felt his heart rustling violently. Like a sting that made his heart feel weak. But it was only for a moment, because Dinan had already let go of the handle.
“Mr want to drink something? let me make it in the kitchen,” said Layla who tried to calm her heart that is not careless.
“Actually, dad's suggestion is the best.” Dinan did not respond to Layla's offer. “But I don't want to be controlled by Dad, I prefer this bad risk over following dad's advice to delay moving the kids until the landlord is clear who it is.”
“Why, Sir? Isn't the success of owning that land the main thing? Why did you choose that bad risk?” ask Layla to investigate, she's upset.
“Because I don't want to follow Dad's wishes anymore. From the time he never listened to me, when I obeyed his wishes, he still never obeyed my wishes, even though he had promised to fulfill what I asked, he still gave."
"I'd rather be devastated by that terrible risk, even if I have to go back to America for years, ten or fifteen years in America is fine. I can still work at the company I used to work for.”
“I don't understand how bad your relationship with Mr Marc is, but wouldn't it be better to take a step back to take a few steps forward? I think giving up for a bigger result is much better.”
“I've retreated many times in order to advance further, but the truth is, the more I retreat, the harder I am to advance, and the more I give space to my father to control myself. More and more show everyone that I can't do anything and just rely on Dad. I'd rather be like this than constantly standing in Dad's shadow.” Dinan turned to Layla who was still looking at him.
“I know that you are not comfortable around me and want to get out of here. But hang on, I won't make this long, and you can soon be free of people like me and ..”
“Pak ..” Layla cuts Dinan's sentence, “I never feel uncomfortable being near Father. I make you in this position, I will also make sure you exit this position without experiencing the slightest loss.”
Dinan laughed thinly, he stood up, “You can't do anything, so don't think you can help me. Come to sleep, you must be sleepy.” Dinan went to the room.
Layla gulped there. He watched as Dinan's back slowly disappeared into the room. The girl noticed the screen of her phone that she had been hiding from Dinan. There's a good night's sleep from Bayu over there. It is true, said Dinan. That love makes people want to do something that once they realize is wrong.
“I have to how now?” muttered Layla who was sad with herself.
