Chapter 08: Part-Time Work

After the problem with Nurman was over, I walked alone to a cafe not far from the school, as I passed on the way I saw a vacancy stuck in the window.

When I entered it everyone was surprised even the cafe manager seemed to stutter as I faced him.

"Please don't hurt me" she's a woman in her thirties with long hair and sunglasses.

"I need a job, can I work here."

"Can you do the dishes?"

"Do you underestimate my abilities."

"Sorry, sorry, forgive me. If you want you can go to work today."

"Thank you so much, where's the kitchen?"

"That's right here."

At first I thought I would be rejected but it seems like the manager is very good, and she is named Risa's mother.

I feel a little guilty because he's scared. Before long a waiter appeared while putting dirty dishes in the sink, I glanced at him and he immediately ran to escape.

It hurts here, but it doesn't matter, the important thing is I've got a job and can save up to pay for the phone I received from Natalie, speaking of cell phones he's called me 25 times and all of them missed calls.

When I finish I will call him later, nine o'clock is a last order, only 30 minutes later we are allowed to go home.

I get paid by the hour because it won't interfere with my school or the club that starts walking tomorrow, on the way home I call Natalie who is crying.

"Wait a minute, why are you crying?"

"I thought you were ignoring me.. I'm worried."

I don't seem to think about this.

"I'm at work, so.."

"work."

I can imagine Natalie looking at me with her sparkling eyes right now.

"I want to work with you too."

"Aren't you satisfied always flirting with me at school."

This guy his hobby just bothers me.

"Then what about the club?"

"I got a lock on the room for us, because it's used as a warehouse, I think we should clean it up first tomorrow. Nurman will also come to help."

"All right, see you at school."

"Well." Yeah."

I disconnected and continued walking towards my hamlet, the light of the road at night was really very bright.

The next morning at school we were together cleaning the club room, because I had a part-time job I only stayed two hours and after that went to work, like before my job was just cleaning up the piled up dishes.

After starting I couldn't rest until I got home, when I was busy working the figure I didn't want to appear, it was Natalie who was ignorantly watching me from behind while smiling.

"You're not with Erin and Nurman?"

"They're home."

"so."

"I can't bear to see you working out how if Arta doesn't have to pay for her phone, I have enough money so it doesn't matter."

"No, I'm not someone who easily accepts someone's stuff let alone that expensive stuff, I'll pay for it."

"Not cool."

Only Natalie thinks so.

I saw Mother Risa passing by, when I called her she ran away instead.

"Manager," on my call Natalie laughed out loud.

"What was so funny just now, I wanted to work here too."

"Defused, your mother would obviously be angry if you didn't work."

"On that.."

Natalie looks like a person from a rich and distinguished family, if she works in a place like this I fear that I will be blamed for it.
