Love Arrum

25. Back to town

This morning Arrum will return to the city, he is ready and is now having breakfast with his children and parents. Arya looks not as excited as usual, Arrum knows what causes it. But all he must be able to overcome so that what he dreams can be realized.

The sound of a car horn disperse the warmth of the family atmosphere at the dining table. Mr. Ahmad who had finished eating first went out to meet the guests who came. Yudha got out of his car and immediately greeted Ahmad.

"Assalamu'alaikum sir." said Yudha.

"Wa'alaikum hail nak Yudha, come in. Arrum's still breakfast. Come on, Yudha will join the breakfast as well." bargained Mr. Ahmad.

"Thank you sir." Yudha also accepted the offer ok Ahmad, not because he was hungry, but because he wanted to get closer to the Arrum family.

Arrum invited Yudha to sit down and get him a plate. Yudha continued to notice Arrum's very clever behavior in serving, while Arrum felt a little awkward with Yudha's gaze, he chose to lower his head to avoid eye contact with Yudha.

Mr. Ahmad and Mr. Siti invited Yudha to eat. They said that all this was Arrum's cooking, and Yudha was eager to start eating. The goddess who did not know anything about Yudha's intentions only stared confusedly at her parents, Yudha, and Arrum in turn.

After finishing breakfast, Mr. Ahmad, Bu Siti, and Yudha sat on the porch of the house while waiting for Arrum to come out. While Arrum was calming Arya who whined spoiled holding her mother to leave. After a few minutes, Arya finally calmed down and wanted to be left behind.

Arrum is out and ready to go. Arya approached Yudha and begged her to deliver her mother safely to the city.

"Sir Yudha, Arya has her mother" said Arya.

"Yes, Mr. Yudha must have delivered your mother to her employer's house safely. Even later Yudha sir will also bring your mother home when it is finished his work contract." replied Yudha while clutching Arya's shoulder reassured her.

"We should leave now" cried Arrum who felt uncomfortable with the atmosphere.

Then they set out in Yudha's car. In the car, Arrum just kept silent while continuing to ring the words of Mr. Ahmad last night when Yudha was gone. Mr. Ahmad said that he liked Yudha and suggested that Arrum accept him. While he has absolutely no feelings for the man who incidentally is a school friend who is quite familiar with him first.

"Why are you daydreaming from Rum, then,,??" asked Yudha to break her daydream.

"Are you still thinking about my question last night? If yes, please listen to me. We are no longer very emotional teenagers. I'm not going to ask you to answer right away. So you relax. Don't let this matter interfere with your work later." explained Yudha who was only influenced by Arrum.

Yudha began to open the conversation so that Arrum was not bored and awkward. His efforts were successful when he started talking about their friends during school. Now Arrum has been carried away and began to smile with nostalgic stories that include funny silly things they had done before.

Without feeling they had reached the destination, when it was showing lunch hour, Yudha had previously invited Arrum to stop for a meal first at a restaurant but Arrum refused it. Again Yudha chose to give in and did not want to impose her will.

As he was about to get out of the car, Yudha held Arrum's hand and shocked him by giving him a small box.

"Is this Jud??" ask Arrum confused.

"Wear when you can accept my love and be willing to be with me." replied Yudha with a sweet smile.

"But..."

"ssstt. If later you can not have me, at least it can be a memento from me for you." said Yudha cut Arrum sentence.

After thanking Arrum, Yudha left the place. Arrum was still pecking at the place earlier. Thinking about what he just experienced. Without realizing it a man was looking at him from behind, the man who was holding back longs and also anger.

"Who's the guy who drove you?" andi asked with a heavy voice.

"Ta.ta.tadi.tadi.my former schoolmate and our neighbor mas, in.he is also Arya's teacher in the pesantren. It just so happened that he had some business in town so he gave me a ride" replied Arrum nervously.

"Oh.yeah let's go inside." Andi then they both went inside the house, Arrum helped Andi walk. The woman was relieved that the man she loved was not angry.

Arrum was about to take Andi to rest in his room, but Andi refused.

"I want to be here, let's sit down." Andi.

"Where are you going?" asked Arrum while sitting next to Andi.

"So he wanted to buy somay, but didn't know it for long. How come nanyain Dian, you don't miss me?" andi's successful Goda puts Arrum to shame.

"What the hell did this guy say?? " answered Arrum awkwardly.

Andi suddenly clasped Arrum's hand, grabbed him with both hands and looked at Arrum lovingly.

"Do you know what I like about you? you are so innocent, unlike any woman who has ever been married. You're funny when you're embarrassed like that. I miss your voice, why did you come home so long?" andi asked as she continued to hold Arrum's hand.

There is happiness but also guilt in the heart Arrum found Andi's attitude that shows his love.

"I'd have asked permission yesterday if I'd been home for three days, and I wouldn't be late, would I?? Pity Arya if you have to meet me just for a moment mas." Arrum explained to the man in front of him.

"oh yeah how are the legs? Dian didn't forget the medicine, did she? I take medicine, right?" ask Arrum streak.

Andi chuckled at the question from the woman.

"You ask me if it's one-on-one baby..!" andi answered while stroking Arrum's head wrapped in a pink veil.

Instantly Arrum was pecking at hearing Andi call him dear. Andi also stroked his head. It reminded her of her late husband. Why are they so similar? ask Arrum in heart.

"Rum... Why are you? you're okay, right??" asked Andi worried about seeing the mimic changes in Arrum's face.

"Emm not me. Oh yes I say to the room first mas, want to shower and pray. Then cook for us lunch." pinta Arrum and embraced by Andi.

"So ask, the turn to be answered even blurred. You are indeed full of Rum mystery." muttered Andi while looking at Arrum's back which began to drift away and disappear from his sight.

Arrum immediately entered the room, while Andi was still sitting on the living room sofa. His mind went back to the man who drove Arrum earlier. He did not see his face, but he seemed familiar with the car, but he did not really remember who it belonged to. And why Arrum looks anxious when he gets out of the car, and also nervous when looking at him. It was as if the new Arrum was caught doing something bad. Andi started thinking about things she didn't want.
