Love And Wounds

Love And Wounds
The Happiest Woman

The morning mentor began to say hello. Slowly Keysha opened her eyes. The first thing she saw this morning was her husband looking at her intently.

"You awake?" ask Keysha.

"Hmmm..," said David who did not turn his eyes on the beautiful face of his wife.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" keysha asked, knitting her brows.

"It's okay, I just want to look at you" said David.

David pulled over the boy's hair that covered his wife's face. Keysha threw her smile at the endless David staring at her.

"What if tonight we have some kind of back yard camp" Keysha said.

"A camp?"

"Yes, I want to sit looking up at the sky while sitting in front of the campfire" Keysha said.

"But the air outside is cold, dear."

"And put on a bonfire" said Keysha, raising his eyebrows.

"I beg you, just for once," said Keysha with a clear face.

"Alright, later I will tell Mr. Sardi to prepare it" said David.

"My husband is indeed the best man" said Keysha, pointing at his thumbs.

David rubbed Keysha's head. "I will prepare warm water first for you to take a shower," said David immediately moved from his bed.

Keysha looked at David's back which was getting away from him. He smiled bitterly and set his eyes on the two legs that were no longer able to stand.

Shortly after, David returned from the bathroom. He immediately carried Keysha's body to help his wife clean her body.

After fifteen minutes, the two of them came out of the bathroom. David prepares clothes for his wife. Keysha is like a big baby. However, she is very lucky to have a husband like David. A man who is always there for him in trouble or pleasure.

.....

The day went up night. David who had prepared the tent and bonfire in accordance with Keysha's request. Mr. Sardi helped David.

"Thank you very much, Mr. Sardi." David glanced at the tent that was already standing straight.

"Together, Sir. Then excuse me first" said Mr. Sardi.

David smashed it with a nod. After Mr. Sardi left her, he immediately picked up Keysha who was currently still in his room.

"Honey, the tent is ready" said David walking to his wife who is currently sitting on the bed.

Keysha stretched out his hand to ask David to carry it. The burly hand raised Keysha's body as if the girl was very light as a cotton swab.

"I don't think I'm as heavy as before" Keysha said.

"You have to eat a lot. I'd rather carry you if you gain weight" said David. Hearing the answer from her husband, Keysha chuckled.

Upon their arrival in the backyard, David landed Keysha in a tent. The girl stared in amazement at the atmosphere behind her house.

"Although only behind the house, but I felt that we were camping for real" Keysha said.

"Honey, where are you? I haven't seen him since this afternoon" asked Keysha.

"He wanted to stay at his grandmother's. That's why I drove him to your house" David said.

Keysha nodded in understanding. Shortly after, David brought some of the food he had prepared.

David serves salmon steak complete with vegetables and some fruits. The man fed the food to his wife.

"You're not eating?" keysha asked to see David who was busy bribing her.

David nodded slowly. "I'm not hungry."

Keysha feeds the food to David. Sometimes they both throw smiles.

After finishing the meal, the two sat side by side looking up at the stars scattered across the night sky.

"It's so pretty" muttered Keysha with sparkling eyes.

David looked at his wife's beautiful face under the moonlight. "You are more beautiful" said David. Keysha chuckled at the words of her husband who was very good at seducing.

Shortly thereafter, silence was created. Both of them looked at the sky in the silence of the night. Keysha took a deep breath and then took it out slowly.

"Tonight, I'm so happy." the girl said as she looked at her husband.

"I hope you'll be happy always" David said.

"I wish you happiness too" said Keysha.

"Darling ...." Keysha took something inside the jacket he was wearing. She also gave a flash to her husband.

"In it is a novel file that I wrote" Keysha said.

"Is it finished?" ask David. Keysha nodded while commenting on her smile.

"Can you help me publish that novel?I want everyone to embrace my writing physically. Adhere to my story lovingly, replacing myself with a scrawl of paper" Keysha said.

DEGGS...

David's heart was beating fast. He raised his head so that his tears would not be spilled at that moment.

"Many of our stories I've written in it. It's enough to read my writing if you want to go back to remembering me when I can't see you anymore" Keysha said.

David could no longer say anything. Sometimes he turned his gaze in the other direction just to wipe away the tears that had dripped.

A moment later, Keysha leaned her head right on David's shoulder. "My safest place," the girl muttered.

"Honey.if someday you fall back in love with another girl, believe me I will bless you" said Keysha.

"Until any time I won't love another girl. I will forever choose to love you" David said.

"My husband is really stubborn" Keysha said. The girl closed her eyes with a smile engraved on her pretty face.

"My husband, I'm so tired. Can I rest on your shoulder?" ask Keysha.

David bit his lower lip. Trying to hold back her tears. "If you're tired, get some rest."

Keysha closed his eyes again. The girl continued to develop her smile as if to show the world that she was the happiest woman in the world.

They were in that position long enough. David took the wife's hand. David didn't feel Keysha's pulse. Then he put his index finger in front of Keysha's nose. And sure enough, Keysha had already completely rested.

Instantly David's tears that he could stand were shed for a moment. The body that rests on him is no longer alive. He held his wife's hand so firmly. The hand that he will soon be unable to hold.

"Rest, Honey. Rest in peace. I promise I will love you to the end of life just as you did to me" David wiped away his tears.

Slowly David brought the wife's tiny body. Keysha closed his eyes with a smile. It was as if the weight on his shoulders had been lifted.

"I, David Anggara. In front of the lifeless body of my wife swore to live while maintaining my love." - David's mind as he walked carrying the wife's body into the house.
