Long River
Branch off

Aska held the files in her hand. It's been an hour he's taken care of the files, but it's not finished. Every time he saw the files, he would see the girl's face. Leka. He's restless. It was as if there was a sense of guilt leaving him like that.

No. I'm not wrong. What I did was right. I know he didn't design all that for the people to force me to marry him but neither did I and he want to be tormented by this marriage. This unwanted marriage, so the only way is to part well and I've done it right, right?

"Sorry sir."

What the hell is it, just bother. "What?"

"Just yesterday's report on the factory employee sir, how?"

"It's finished yet?"

"Not Sir."

"Yes, what's the problem?"

"He's less sir."

"If the data is lacking, go there again."

"That's not so sir, the data is in the hands of Mr. from earlier sir. I can't finish it without that data."

Aska was a little embarrassed so he cleared his throat so that he would not lose his wife. "Awhile, huh?" Then he finished it quickly. "Here, I've marked what needs to be revised.(improved)" Aska handed the files to the man in front of her.

"Thank You Sir." The employee left.

Aduuuh, why can't I concentrate from earlier anyway? He stood up and stepped out of the office. He headed to the open room next to his office and entered a veranda that could be opened. There was Zaki smoking on the edge of the porch.

Actually in the building is not allowed to open the window, but specifically in this area alone is allowed for smokers who want to smoke and unwind.

"Zak, you haven't stopped smoking?" Ask Aska when approaching her best friend. He put his hand in his pants pocket.

Zaki just turned his head, raising smoke around his mouth, with a flat face. "Why? You want to be my life-depriving angel today?"

Aska laughs. He saw his best friend began to fall apart his life since having a second wife. Now he is facing divorce from his legal wife which makes him more stressed. His body was getting thinner and his face was falling apart.

"Keep what now?" Ask Ask Ask who saw Zaki getting addicted to smoking. It seemed like smoking was where he was spilling all his sadness at the moment.

"Yes, I played with fire. I have to be prepared for the risks I have to face. My wife moved out of the house with all the kids. Either way, he no longer wants to be persuaded. The decision remains the same."

"Then with your second wife?"

"I shouldn't have married her in the first place." Zaki went back to smoking his cigarette deeply.

"You smoke less dong! Your body is getting thinner!" Aska.

Zaki laughed instead. "really turned. You want to be an angel today?" He came back laughing. A very heartbreaking laugh. It seemed that behind her laughter she wanted to cry, but crying was not enough for her to take off all her nests. Perhaps her tears had dried up, so she tried to endure looking fine.

"Are you thinking, back then, you should have divorced Libby or not?"

"I just follow my heart. When I married Libby, I felt guilty for my wife. That's why I divorced her soon. The heart is a gauge, not our actions. Up until now, I had no regrets about divorcing Libby but I regretted playing with her." Zaki turned to Aska and patted her shoulder. "Do something according to your heart, my friend, that leads you to determine all the actions that need or need not be done by you until you do not regret later."

Aska, looking up at the sky. It breathes as much air as possible and exhales slowly. So what should I do about Leka? Oh my God, I'm really confused.

Leka's father looked at his son, confused. The problem is that he doesn't understand what's going on. "A eeyiu uan? Eiap? Eava?(He gave you money? Every month? Why?)"

"I don't know Sir. That's what he said. Uh, I'm down here, Mas!" Leka turned to the angkot driver, telling. He then went down with his father on the side of the road. Slowly he took his father to walk on the road which is still land up to his house and took him to the room. "Father rest first, do not work, later if it has healed just work again."

"Bec ..(.(.But Leka ..)"

"Father wants to force themselves also can not, the body of the Father is still sick, which there is even troublesome people only. Let's cut the money later, that's okay."

"C ...(.Nave ...)" Leka's father touched her son's hand. "Ewaiya uan iu iua'an uwu owal eagan.(.The money should be used for trading capital.)"

"Yes, Leka is also thinking about that sir." Leka smiled.

But the journey of Leka's life is not smooth. Full of obstacles and hard work and without feeling, it has been 2 years until finally, an incident makes him have to determine his own life without the help of anyone.

Studying finished. Leka was helped by a neighbor who distributed besek to the neighboring mothers who were present at the lecture. The mothers then dispersed.

"Rune .. don't be. Want on this broom ...." Leka warned.

"So, let me." The young mother took the broom held by Leka. "Tomorrow so right, Ma'am, sell again?"

"Yes." Yeah." Leka pulled the little boy's hand closer. He crouches. "Have you eaten yet?"

"Mam .. mam ..." The boy pointed at the piled plates that were already empty. "Oh, it's over. Here in the kitchen there's still." Leka stood up and pulled the little girl into the kitchen. There are still 2 more boxes of cake that he took from the refrigerator. He took a piece of sponge and gave it to the little girl. The little boy jumped up and down as he was given. He then sat on the floor and began to eat his own cake in hand.

Leka immediately rolled up her sleeves. Collect dirty dishes and start washing dishes. Half an hour later the house was back.

"Sir, how will his 100 days be?" Ask the young man again. "Wouldn't you do something for me?" He followed to the kitchen and saw Leka making milk for the little one.

"No, yeah, look at it later. Thanks Ka, you helped me. I don't know if there's no way."

"Yes not the Mother ... Because Ma'am I have income, even though I can only help."

Ika still belongs to Leka's mother's distant brother. His house is located behind Leka's house and he daily helps Leka who opens a food stall in front of his house.

"But Ma'am, do you dare to just be alone with the child here? Is there any danger of no men in the house? What does your husband want?"

That's the sentence that made Leka worried lately. His father before he died also told him to consider that. If possible, he should have a clear status. If her husband does not want to accompany her, her husband should divorce her so that she can marry again. For the sake of his daughter, Runi.

"I don't know his home address in Jakarta either, but he keeps sending me money every month. I have to how ya Ka, better?"

"Think of child, try Ma'am. Poor not having a father."

Leka carried Runi and brought her to the dining table. He pulled the wrong chair and sat down while holding Runi. The little boy immediately took the milk bottle from his mother's hand and then leaned back while drinking milk through the pacifier of the milk bottle. He followed their conversation.

"Let's just find Ma'am, to Jakarta."

"But it'll be a long time, it'll probably take months."

"It's okay to stay in Jakarta. Let me take care of this house."

"I'm not good for you Ika."

"I'm fine Ma'am. Please think about it. I'm saying yes, Ma'am?"

Ika said hello and immediately went home by closing the front door. Leka was left alone while staring at her son who began to fall asleep.

Runi fell asleep leaving a little milk in her tiny milk bottle. Leka pulled the bottle from her son's grasp and placed it on the table. The boy had fallen asleep so he immediately took him to the room. She put the little girl down by not forgetting to take off her hijab which was getting wet with sweat. He rubbed the little girl's wet forehead to the head.

I wanted to find him but I could not bear to bring this little Runi with me. I should how?

There was a knock at the front door. Leka immediately stood up and closed the door of her room. He immediately came to the front door.

Who's been visiting my house tonight?

Leka peeked out of the window. The man ... how is it possible? Leka opened the door immediately. "You?"

"Leka, you remember me, don't you?" The man in front of him, a figure that Leka had not seen for a long time since the man left 4 years ago and his face had never changed. It is getting more handsome and dignified.

"Candy?"

The man just smiled. "I'm sorry, I just found out your father has passed away and I was here about 3 days ago."

"Oh, it's okay. I get it." Leka gave a smile.

Leka, you're still pretty like you used to be. You're getting brighter and I still can't forget you. "Can I come in?"

"But it's night."

"Tomorrow I have a job so I can only visit at night."

Inevitably, Leka let the man into her house. He invited Candi to sit on the dining table chair because she did not have a chair in the living room.

Candi is a former friend of Leka's high school in High School. They love each other but Leka refuses to date. When Candi wanted to propose to her it turned out that the parents of Candi refused because Leka from a poor family. Candi who comes from the richest family in her village has also been betrothed to her parents' business friends. They then lost contact when Candi finally married the choice of her parents.
