Long River

Long River
Bickering

This guy is really crazy, isn't he? He asked who? I am his wife!

"You can't answer that, can you? This marriage really makes us stupid. They're not our parents, why would they force us to do this marriage. How about we just end this stupid marriage so we don't regret each other?"

Leka gasped backwards. For him, it's easy to say that, but for me? I'm going to be a widow. Doesn't he think about it, it's good to talk. What would the people in my village say if they found out that I got divorced so soon. Moreover, in Islam, the word divorce is hated by Allah. Boy, is that stupid? "It's a wedding not a joke!" Fierce speech. This time, Leka was angry about something. He always gave up and was patient, but not this time. This is already too much. It's about his life and this guy, I don't know what he's thinking!

"That's not what I meant. Look, the marriage has to be done by 2 human beings who love each other and therefore they get married. There are even people who fall in love but do not get married. Because what? Yes, because he still doubts his partner, is this really the partner he wants to live with for the rest of his life. Live forever with this couple every day, meet every moment. Isn't he bored? How about getting bored and finding another love?"

"God forbid we worry about the future." Answer Leka told.

"Eh, don't get me wrong. We got married because we had to." Aska raise her index finger. His face was so calm.

Leka was really upset to meet a man like this, even now her husband. "Then ... what do you want?"

"Well, because it's ... I see, you can talk so I'm talking to you about this. Let's find a way out of it together."

Whahuh? What man have I married? This wedding is not merchandise, just want to negotiate.

Leka stood up from her seat and immediately came out. Outside the room, his father was sitting at the dining table sipping his coffee. He was surprised to see Leka coming out of the room in a state of anger. "Che.(.Leka)"

"Eh, Father." Leka immediately fixed her face. He did not want his father to know about his quarrel with Aska.

"This.(.Here)" Leka's father called her sitting next to him.

Leka sat down immediately.

"Awa? Uut awa uami, ao he ewawiau he aur.(Patience huh? The same husband, otherwise your marriage could be ruined.)"

Leka just kept quiet. He's confused. If she agrees with what her husband says, she will soon become a widow. Did I just give up? Didn't that man not want this marriage. For what to fight alone, after all he was also forced to marry the man and he also did not know whether he could love this man or not later. He glanced at his father who then took his hand and grasped it, strengthening.

"That's Mommy!(It's Mommy!)" Lydia pointed to the top where there was a circus clown who was trying to cross 2 tall poles through a rope. Not only that, he will ride a bicycle that will pass the rope.

The clown was a little confused. He hesitated by walking back and forth on his bike, going or not. The confusion made the audience in the circus laugh a lot.

"Oh, can it?" Zack still looked up with his mouth open looking at the clown's confused face, but he still continued to watch it. Chris smiles at Zack and rubs his blond hair, but Zack and Lydia's attention can't be separated from the clown. He rubbed Lydia's shoulder.

The clown finally ventured on a bicycle that would be run on a rope. He went forward and backward again, forward and backward again making the audience spin around. The clown finally runs his bike to the middle and suddenly stops. It's shaking. The bike turned down as if it was about to fall but it was hanging to make the clown upside down. This left some of the audience shocked and stunned. Scene after scene so entertained the audience that the clown finally reached across the pole. He then went downstairs and paid tribute to the audience. The audience gave a standing ovation to the clown until he was lost behind the scenes.

"You want to see your Mom?"(You want to see your mom?)" Chris asked Lydia.

"Yes." Yeah."

Chris then brings down Lydia and Zack and walks towards the back of the screen. He was surprised to meet a lion. "Wooow." He pulled the kids back.

Thankfully, there was a clown there. "Zia! Don't scare them, ok?(Zia! Don't be afraid of them, ok?)" He raised his index finger at the lion sitting there waiting for his turn. It turned out that then came another lion troupe with his handler. They'll show up next.

"Wow, wak, waaak!" Chris was struck by the sound of a seal walking near his feet. It turns out there is a group of seals who are in a hurry to pass and are afraid of being stepped on by the man. The seals lined up past them.

Then a gipsy-clad woman carrying a large snake sheathed around her neck. Chris hurriedly pulled the children away, but the children seemed enthusiastic about what he saw. They were amazed to see this scene as if they were in a zoo.

The clown is approaching. He took out his red nose ball and taped it to Lydia's nose. Of course the little girl laughed. "Mommy!"

"OK." Chris took the kids out. They're waiting at the popcorn vendor's.

Chris looked around. The circus is quite large. They had a lot of game tents scattered on the field and the biggest one was the one he had just entered. Once a month the circus changes cities and the audience is always a lot. That session alone, the audience seats were quite full.

Chris is confused by the state of Rafi and Anna's household. It's been 8 years they've been apart, but there's no sign they want to be together. Sometimes Rafi comes to Jakarta with her father-in-law George, looking at Lydia. Or sometimes Anna who came to Jakarta to see Lydia, but until now there is no sign of completion of them all to be reunited.

It all started with Anna following in the footsteps of her mother who wanted to raise a Russian circus that was the legacy of her mother's ancestors. His mother's family was hereditary in charge of this circus but it was opposed by George, his father. Lydia was 1 year and 3 months old. Because her father did not allow her to take Lydia, Anna left alone to join the circus, while Lydia, because she was too small and Rafi was still in college and working for her in-laws, Lydia is then entrusted to Chris at George's behest. But after Lydia began to grow up, Lydia did not want to live with her father on the grounds there was no mother. He lives with Chris. This problem becomes unsolved because each of them lives with their own ego. Only Rafi was patient because she loved her wife so much. He let Anna choose a career in the circus. After all, it doesn't matter when they want to meet, because Rafi often visits Anna at the circus where she is when she has time. Rafi has finished her S2 degree and runs one of the companies George owns. Unfortunately, they are not trying to unite.

"Yes long?" Anna came in with a change of clothes.

"Mommy ...." Lydia came to hug him. Anna immediately bowed and held him for a while, then lowered him.

"Reina where's Chris?"

"Oh, he's at a meeting of flower-string artists who also have exhibitions and trainings. He also participated in the race and was exhibited there. America is getting cold, right? Did Rafi come here to see you?"

"Last week, yes. When I called Lydia in America, she was very enthusiastic, but she was very busy, so she didn't know if she could meet you or not. Papa gave him one more company and he was studying the company Papa guided so he was very busy and guarded by Papa."

"Wouldn't George ...."

Anna shakes. "My dad was really workaholic.(work crazy)"

Chris did not continue to fear making Lydia sad and disappointed. "Yes, already. Since Mommy's done, we'll take a walk and then have lunch. How's it?"

"Yelc ...!" Zack and Lydia jump around.

Then they left the place.

Meanwhile at Chris' house in Jakarta, Salwa looks restless. He tried to call his twin brother, Aska but was not picked up. He was so busy with office duties that he did not realize his twin brother had not returned home since last night, even until tonight. Where's Aska? He doesn't usually pick up his phone. Salwa was worried until she finally reported to the police. He was afraid of being blamed by his parents because they were going abroad with his two younger siblings, and he was also afraid something bad happened to Aska. Brother, where are you?

Aska lay side by side with Leka on top of that thin mattress. They turned on each other. It was late at night but none of them started to sleep. They are busy with their own thoughts so that until late at night they have not slept.

But it was Aska who first gave up. He turned his body to face Leka. For some reason, seeing the figure of the back of the girl he became pity. " You still mad at me?"

Suddenly there was a sobbing of Leka that seemed like she was trying to hold up. Aska grabbed the girl's arm slowly for the girl to turn her body to face him. He saw the sad face of his wife in tears.

"Why are you crying?" Aska wiped his wife's tears gently.

"Sister .. Doesn't like Leka."

"Who doesn't like it?" Whisper the man again. He then pulled Leka's body closer and kissed her forehead. "God, you kissed me on the forehead."

"Lied."

Aska then looked at Leka and kissed her lips.
