Little Hearts in Your Heart

Little Hearts in Your Heart
Chapters 6. Crazy Idea

“I told you, mother, the place is not far. Three kilometers away,” Miki half exclaimed when both times his mother called, did not he already tell about his part-time work. “Not about this? Then why? Hiroshi-Ojisan's? Eh..” He was silent for a while, hearing his uncle's name. “Sure, I know it. What's wrong with him?” Miki moved to her seat, playing her long shirt. “Really?” Miki was half surprised. “I know, all right. I'll be ready now. It's a long time ago, bu.”

Miki immediately changed her pants with her torn jeans. He pulled his jacket from a hanger, a small bag of sash, and got out of his apartment, waiting for the bus to go to the hospital.

*

Miki walked quickly into the hospital. He was just about to speak to the guarding nurse, but his eyes caught a man passing by without turning around.

“Reki..”

A man named Reki turned around. His smile expanded, if only there were no coffee cups in his hands, he would definitely hug the girl in front of him. “Miki-neechan, long time no see you.”

“You look very excited. Isn't the masseuse sick?”

“Indeed, let's go to the room,” take Reki and give a glass of coffee to Miki.

Miki followed Reki into a room, Arai Hiroshi wrote in front of her. “Ojisan..” exclaimed Miki saw the man eating hamburgers in both hands. “Isn't a prick sick? You look so healthy,” muttered and put a coffee cup on the table.

“Miki-chan, come and eat, before your hack comes,” said Hiroshi, Miki's thick-bodied uncle.

“Dad and mom are so worried about you. They said that the masquerade was unconscious after falling in school,” said Miki and pulled a chair, sitting next to his uncle's bed.

Hiroshi laughing. “It was a week ago, I just told them about this. Tell them, no need to worry anymore.”

“Ojisan must take care of health,” Miki sneered, “You too, Reki,” he said saw his cousin, “you should forbid Ojisan to eat food excessively.”

Reki scratched his head, grinning.

“Ojisan, stop, this must have been your third hamburger, right?” Miki pulled the package from Hiroshi's lap. “I'll really report to Obasan, if you don't hear me.”

Hiroshi laughing. “I know, and now give water.”

Miki stood. Pour water into a glass and take a wet tissue for his uncle.

“How was your lecture, Miki?” hiroshi asked while leaning his back.

“I rarely go to college, Oji. I have to do something now. Anyway, I don't have any more college hours. So have more time.”

“Really? It's because you're lazy,” said Horoshi laughing, small. “How can you pass if you never discuss your final assignment with your group.”

Miki just sneered, not wanting to respond to her uncle. “Then, how about your school, Reki?”

Reki pointed at himself. “Very boring. Moreover, there is a father who always watches.”

“Reki must have been happy when I fainted, he could have wandered around in school hours.”

“What did Ojisan say? Reki must be very worried about you.” Miki moved beside Reki, patting his cousin on the head.

Reki just grinned. He understood the nature of his cousin's brother, always at will. “My SMA life will be like Miki-neechan. Uninspiring. Nothing is done but study. No girlfriend.”

“That's because no one likes you,” Miki smiled, played Reki's emotions. “See that hair, you'll probably look like a girl. Why don't you cut it?”

Reki touched her hair. “If there is a girl telling me, I will cut her,” she said smiling, timid.

“Then, cut it. I've asked you and I'm a girl.”

“Do not joke.” Reki's nose is crinkled.

“Be a man, keep your promise,” Miki sneered. He then saw his uncle, “Ojisan do not be too restrictive. She will live without adolescence.”

“Daddy listen,” Reki excited, some defending.

“I'm not done yet, you can't just break the rules either.”

“Then I have to live like Miki-neechan? Your teenage years are so boring, it's because of your bloody novel. Miki-neechan knows nothing but that.”

Miki laughed, cynical. “You're right, I even feel like repeating everything. And even that can't be. So do what you want to do. I don't even know what to write for my next story.”

“Is Miki-neechan out of ideas? Do you have to kill someone?” reki asked laughing, big.

Miki grunting.

“Don't-don't, what I heard is true. Miki-neechan is going to make a romance? You won't be able to. Since High School, you don't even have any male friends.”

“Already, I can write a murder without killing someone,” Miki defend herself.

“By what. Miki-neechan will never be able to write how she feels in love, without ever feeling straight away. What Miki-neechan is going to write, her feelings are flowery and she must have fallen in love.”

“I don't write like that. “

“Come,” Miki sighed, “I haven't got an idea. By the way, Reki, what kind of romance novels do you like?”

“Of course I will choose a character who is the same level as me,” Reki was silent for a while, thinking, “it, school time. Not only school children will love it, but also adults who still want to feel and remember their teenage years. Didn't Suzuki Aoki write like that?”

“You're right,” Miki's lips pursed. “If only, I could go back to my school days, I might..”.

“Miki-neechan, wait a minute.”

Miki looked at Reki who had just called out loud. Reki glanced at his father who was lying down, probably already asleep. “Why doesn't Miki-neechan come back? Back to feel High School, looking for a girlfriend? Or you can see the kids now.”

“Eh?” Miki gawking. “You don't just talk. Where can a girl like me go back to school.”

“Why not? Miki-neechan still looks so young.”

“I am still young,” Miki's cheeks raised.

“I mean, it still looks like a High School girl. If I told people, Miki-neechan is my sister, of course they would believe.”

“Really?” miki's expression shone as she was praised.

Reki nodded for sure. “You proved it?”

Miki waved her hand. “I know, I look like still fifteen years,” said he and made Reki sneer, “but how could I. uh,” Miki stop, glancing at his uncle.

*

Hiroshi felt his fur standing up. He opened his eyes, finding Miki and Reki bowing before his face. “What do you guys do?”

Miki and Reki laughed, strange. They're lyrically interlocking.

“You think I didn't hear your silly talk?” Hiroshi straightened his back, sat down, leaned back. “So, Miki, still writing. I thought you quit.”

“If I can do both, why don't I do it. Ojisan, let me. I will not be a burden. I will school well,” Miki said and folded a hand in front of her face.

“Not possible, Miki. How I got you into school. You graduated four years ago.”

“Dad...” Reki opened his mouth, “dad has no pity on Miki-neechan, let him feel like a school once. Since childhood, Miki-neechan has always been on the move. Japan, Indonesia, Korea, New York, and back again to Japan. Miki-neechan has never felt the real school days. How can he write well, I can't read his sensational work, if Miki-neechan hasn't written a romance.  Writers need to have a lot of experience. Who is to blame?”

Hiroshi pointed at him.

“True. With the power of the father, Miki-neechan can return to school. Let her be in the same class as me.”

“What's the matter with you, Reki?” Miki sneering. “Why are you so excited.”

“Eh, the.”.

Hiroshi glanced at his son, “do you want to take a chance?”

“What opportunity, Dad? What can I expect from Miki-neechan. But..” Rei stopped, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

Miki and Hiroshi saw it.

“I bet with my friend,” Reki said it, casually. “Yesterday when we read about Redy-sensei, it was... ah, obviously if I lose, I have to give up all my novels. If I win, he will be my girlfriend,” he said smiling, wide.

Miki hissing. “What do you guys bet on?”

“Miki-neechan doesn't need to know.”

“Eh? Then I won't go to school.”

“You guys, I haven't agreed. I have to talk to the teachers.” Hiroshi free to talk at length, the two children in front of him no longer listen.

“Miki-neechan, if I lose not only my book collection is taken, but I have to say who Redy is,” Reki is wrong.

Miki thought it was no big deal, even so she folded the hand, then just say so. You guys are arguing about what?”

“He said, Miki-neechan will not be able to write romance stories.  Since that was the case, Miki-neechan had to put in effort, struggling. So I was very supportive of Miki-neechan, back to school. Even Miki-neechan can tell us about our story, give me your idea, about how to approach it.”

Miki smiled, strange. “Are you crazy?”

“Sure, no,” said Reki smiled very sweetly.

I might scream and try to resist Reki's crazy idea, but I'm so excited and hopeful. Can I go to high school again? That's an idea I never thought I could. But, I laughed inwardly, waiting for the moment I could be in uniform again. Mickey.*
