Little Hearts in Your Heart
Chapters 14. Game and Play

Miki glanced, cynical, Daiki who was sitting next to her, enjoying the takoyaki by the side of the road. “Did Daiki-senpai see me like a strange girl?”

Daiki nodded, making Miki snort. Daiki smiled, patted Miki on the head, “eat fast, and we go home.”

Miki nodded, weak. Eating all the takoyaki in front of him with sudden vigor. After that, he walked quickly. Daiki muttered indistinctly and immediately finished his takoyaki and chased after Miki.

“So you'll stop writing romance stories?” daiki asked, walking beside Miki. “And you will quit school?”

Miki nodded.

“Hmmm,” Daiki nodded her head, making her bangs move over her eyes. “And you will continue your final task?”

Miki once nodded.

“You won't regret?”

Miki meant to nod. But he stopped walking. “Sorry?”

“You don't know,” Daiki turned around, looking at Miki who was pecking at her place, “usually someone who gave up before knowing the end, will regret it.”

Miki walked back. “I already know finally.”

“Really? How's that?”

“I'm a girl with no feelings, can't write a romance. Forever will end with a creepy story.”

Daiki. “I see, now you're acting like an adult. Not like a kid again in the game.”

“Games? What does senpai mean?”

Daiki smiled.  “If you can get to the apartment more than me, I will tell you,” he said and started running.

Miki snorted and a second later had come running along.

At ten, Miki arrived at the publishing house. Promise to meet with editor Chio. The man had been waiting at the cafe in front of the building. I even ordered coffee for Miki.

“How's your novel progress?” ask Chio, without further ado.

Miki took a sip of his coffee. “I didn't do it,” said, relax.

“What's because of that rumor?” chio's forehead shriveled.

“Rumor?” Miki is silent, given the article she read last night, the SA singer is known to date with the editor-in-chief Himawari Publishing. Miki sighed. “coincidentally once, two days ago, I saw

those with my own eyes.”

“It's a pity, because I don't fit into such a genre at all.” Miki moved the shoulder.

Chio moved his body. “Miki, you didn't notice what happened yah?”

“What's up, Chio editor? You're like a freak.” Miki recalled how her editor had always deliberately provoked her emotions with the same expression at this time.

“You heard well,” Chio's voice sounded serious. “I think they played you,” he said and smiled. He leaned back in his chair.

Miki glanced at the cynical Chio. “Speak clearly,” murmured.

“You read about betting on the forum, I thought it was written intentionally Aiko or if not Taka. They will make Aiko's novel sell out loud by carrying your name,” Chio said ending it with a knotty smile.

“Editor Chio don't be so bad. Maybe because you're not Aiko's editor, so you're like this.”

“Miki... Arai sensei.. When I edited Aiko's work, all her novels sold very well. So it can be said that I play a role in every work. Then what am I worried about. What pisses me off is what he said.”

Miki pursed her lips, waiting for Chio to continue.

“I have absolutely no problem with any work you make, but if you're used like this, I'm very upset. If you could just once, you make a novel with the romance genre, just to prove it to her. After that, you can stop.”

“What's in it for me?”

“Nothing is clear,” said Chio chuckling. “Just come play in their game. No one hopes for your work, but if you can defeat it, you will be very famous.”

“I don't want to be famous.”

“At least your savings money increased,” said Chio, grinning.

Miki laughing. Especially because they laugh at themselves. He seems to have no feelings. Didn't he just hear that the two men conspired to raise their names, and certainly dropped their names. But, his heart felt light.

“How?”

Miki nodded.

“What?” chio asked confusedly interpreting Miki's nod.

“I... I won't lose to anyone,” said Miki, smiling.

What did Daiki-senpai say? He said that if I thought like an adult, if I win once, I'd be happy, if I lose once, I don't want to play again. Let it just. How do children play in games? If they lose, they play until they win the game. Then how good is it for me? Being an adult or acting like a child? Act adult with little child touch. Daiki-senpai is like that. So in any bet, fight, or game of life whatever it is, he will not give up until he wins the game, and consequently, he must remain serious about playing every step towards the end of the game. Do you understand, Miki?
