Chapter 36: The Mystery of Destiny

In the air, everyone talks about Alpha and Helene's match until the news is heard by Ankou. He was shocked because he had been looking for his whereabouts but always never met.

“You guys can news from where?” ask Ankou to one of the Goddesses.

“I heard it directly from the God Hefaistos and the God Zeus.”

Ankou who heard directly ran in search of the god Hephaistos to the eastern palace. Not there, all he found was Goddess Artemis.

“Goddess I was really sassy to run without permission first. But can I meet God Hefa?”

“You why is in such a hurry?”

“Many say that Alpha will be betrothed to the daughter of the God Zeus. Is that true? For years I searched but did not find it. Where does he live?”

Goddess Artemis breathed a heavy breath. “Alpha wears magic power all over her body. That's why you never remember even if you cross paths with him. She lives with God Eros.”

“Basic of that bastard.”

“Ankou he's a God. You can't say rude.”

“It's true he's a shithead. He must be the mastermind of all this.” Ankou vented her anger at Goddess Artemis.

“I'm sure of Lord Eros. Proven Alpha chose Helene over Ana.”

“What?”

“Yes, Alpha chose this matchmaking. Before they married Alpha spent time with Ana. He wants to leave a good impression on her.”

Ankou asked in a tone of disbelief. “What's the matter of letting her be with Ana? I'm afraid it happened again.”

“Alpha loves Ana very much but she has also learned from her mistakes. Don'worry. After hearing all this I suggest you go to Lord Eros. I feel like he wants to tell you a message.”

“Goddess knows where if she wants to see me? Frankly I always put my suspicions.”

“Come to him.”

“Good.”

Actually, Ankou is the laziest dealing with a pretentious God who always arranges human romance even though it is her job. On the way he finds Ana with Alpha buying a drink at the minimarket. They do not rebuke each other.

It was strange to see from his reaction why was he this calm after the debate of that time?Inner Alpha.

After buying Ankou's drink left them like they didn't see. Alpha then escorts Ana back to her home. In the car Ana reprimands him because Alpha looks like he's thinking hard.

“You why?”

“You remember that guy in front of us at the cashier? He's an old friend of mine, Ankou.”

“Really? I just remembered.” Ana widened her eyes.

“Something like he doesn't know me. I had a fight before...” Alpha covered his mouth with his palm. He slipped.

“In-he's a guy who's been watching your house for a few days. Looks like he's acting like he's looking for me.”

“Why is the world so narrow? Take me home immediately. I'm not good with Dad and my mom.”

Alpha's driving back to Ana's house. Arriving there he tells Ana that her magic will be gone for 30 minutes and makes excuses if Mom or Dad suddenly asks.

Ana went straight into the house and went to her room to get changed. Grace who saw her son come down from the room immediately reprimanded.

“When are you home, baby? How come you didn't see you come in?”

“Ah i-it's just mom feeling.” Ana can't bear to lie to her mother but if not so she can't spend time and know her past.

“Hey are you here apparently?”

“No need for pleasantries. Tell me what you want to say. I'm sick of you.”

“Calm down first, log in.” Eros.

“Goddess Artemis sent me here. If it wasn't her man I wouldn't want.”

Eros looked at him seriously. “There must be a lot of questions in your head, I will tell you one by one. First why he's using magic all over his body so you don't keep looking for him. Second there's more to it than that and Alpha already knows his destiny and Ana.”

“What's more important?”

“Love Alpha and Ana have something to do with you. You'll understand after living it.”

Their conversation stopped when Alpha came. He was shocked because Ankou was in front of him talking seriously with Eros.

“You...”

“Excuse me, I retreat first.”

“Ah I almost forgot to offer drink.”

“No need because I am afraid the incident at the cafe is repeated because I drank the coffee you bought.”, said Ankou.

“Always be suspicious.”

His departure without leaving a voice. The second time Ankou ignored him. Did their friendship end like this?

“Does he already know?” ask Alpha.

“Yes she knows everything from me and Goddess Artemis. But not with his destiny.”
