LEILA'S DREAM: Three Possibilities

LEILA'S DREAM: Three Possibilities
CHAPTER 3: THE BLACK EGG

This chapter is a little longer than before

Happy reading, readers

One sweet punch landed on the forehead of the unraveling boy as red as wine. Her unkempt messy hair that made cover part of her face.

"Where have you been?! I'm worried to know!" The other boy snapped which was physically similar to the person he had just hit.

"Sorry, sorry, I was out for a minute."

"Awhile you said! Don't think I don't know yes. You came out before midnight and you came back this morning, huh?!" The veins on his neck started to look more and more he thought about it.

"Pardon me. I was wrong."

"Don't repeat, remember!"

"b-good. But why don't you sleep. I thought you had slept just like him" pointed to the other twin who had fallen asleep in his dream.

"I'm waiting for you."

The boy who had just been clipped in the head stared in disbelief, "waiting for me or are you secretly reading another book?"

For not being able to lie the boy turned around, "... Let's go to sleep."

The two of them began to lie on the carpet that had accompanied them since in this world. This quite large, but secluded room is where their ex saw the woman who had given birth they breathed their last.

"Did you miss mom?"

I don't know where that thought came from. One of them asked while looking at the sky of the room that was already full of thick dust with several cobwebs in the corner of the room.

"Not as often as it used to be, why?"

"I miss you, mother."

"... I'm also."

It is up to them to wake up at what time and eat or not. Throw big water and small water wherever no one cares about them.

The old manor located quite far from the village was where they took shelter. The owner was a brownish-red decomposing woman who often came home late at night with a pungent smell that the three of them did not like. Always bring the new man she brought upstairs who sometimes makes the three of them hear strange noises.

Without the care that an aunt should have. He often even forgets—intentionally— feeds them. They could even count by hand how many times they bathed now.

It's a sunny day and one that Leila's been waiting for.

Ding!

[SYSTEM WILL ENTER AUTOPILOT MODE. WITHIN THE RADIUS OF THE ENTIRE MISTY FOREST ALL THREATS WOULD SOON BE FORCED OUT.]

"Finally, I can go to the capital again, yeah!"

This was a mode where all the disturbances that would enter into the Misty Forest would be rendered dazed and make them involuntarily walk back out of the forest.

Leila did not want anyone to enter the forest carelessly. Remembering something behind him is very difficult to work with.

⟨WHERE?⟩

The sound that seemed heavy with the grunt that made the surrounding fog slowly knocked out and without him realizing it made all around the environment inside the Misty Forest slowly more clearly visible now.

The calm lake is greenish blue which contains magical creatures that are swimming beautifully. Their fins are shiny because they are exposed to the reflection of sunlight, plus the snoring they make like a cat.

The forest is filled with pine trees and some points are filled with hyperion trees and towering California coast redwood trees. His height even exceeds the height of the iconic tower in Uncle Sam's Country.

Her white-dominated body with a gentle-looking mane made anyone want to stroke her.

Its beak was like a flesh-eating bird with its sharp eyes as if it could see for tens of kilometers. His ears dropped like a cute rabbit. Do not forget the four horns are large and small that anyone can be fooled to see it think if it is his other ear.

He had a pair of wings like a dove with four reptile-like legs. Its similarly long tail from the tip of the right wing to the left is soft-haired, shaped like a cat, and let's not forget its golden-yellow netra that looks as precious as a jewel, staring at him was full of dislike if he had to go out of the forest.

Leila sighed beak. It is very difficult to escape from the supervision of the figure behind him.

Still Leila clearly remembered after spending a few days in this world she surrounded this dense forest. The thing that made him astonished was of course to see a giant animal was lying limp with a golden liquid that looked shiny like gold and thick like honey.

The creature that he thought only existed in the fictional story was actually lying limp in front of him right now. Wrap her long neck to protect the shiny look in front of her eyes.

Is that gold?

Why is it so dark?

The question echoed in his mind until the distinctive sound of the notification followed by a transparent hologram appeared in front of him.

Ding!

[DEATH GOD CURIOUS ABOUT YOUR NEXT ACTION.]

Okay, the god of the corks appears again.

A God is not busy. It was not busy watching over these mortal beings.

I realized something was getting closer to him. The creature that had initially closed its eyes was now wide open with yellow pupils against it looking like a sunken ray in its last moments.

The growl full of dislike Leila got. The body that had suddenly shrunk since coming here could not provide resistance like an adult.

Leila took a step back slowly and did not forget to tell her if she would not approach any further.

"System, can you do anything other than report that Death God?" Leila's great-grandson here is trying to rack his brain and survive the grip of the beast.

Ding!

[THE DRAGON-TYPE CREATURE IN FRONT DOESN'T LIKE YOUR PRESENCE.]

⟨WHO ARE YOU A CREATURE I DON'T KNOW?! WHAT DO YOU WANT TO COME TO MY HOMELAND?!⟩

That question suddenly Leila heard. Her beaked voice made Leila look back and forth.

⟨I'M TALKING TO YOU STRANGE CREATURES!⟩

Feeling the strange word Leila stomped her feet dislike and looked for the source of the sound it came from.

"God! I'm not a strange creature! I have a name! I'm Leila! Whoareyou?! Show me your song face! Feel Leila's fist!" It seemed like Leila had forgotten the shape of her new body in this world. The body of the five-year-old little boy looks very cute if he gets even more upset.

The dragon who saw something new appear in front of him before his death picked up was frowning in astonishment. From the language he uses like the language of the mortal beings it uses. But from the tone of speech sounds different, especially how can a small child be in his homeland?

⟨WHAT GERANUM DID YOU COME HERE, O CREATURES THAT I DO NOT KNOW***?⟩

There was no demanding intonation and anger at him anymore. Leila felt grateful. However, another blue hologram appeared.

[!!️CONGRATULATIONS!!️]

[YOU GET NEW SKILL 'UNDERSTANDING FOREIGN LANGUAGE'.]

Seeing the new notice made Leila dumbfounded instead of playing.

What did he just get?

This black-coloured dragon that had dirty stains on almost its entire body felt that it would not be long to die and thought of an egg that was the remnant of its hope after the mortal had pierced through the protective wall which he made to separate the dimensions between their lives.

He still remembers very clearly. Only one mortal can come here. Just one and he didn't break the contract between the two of them.

The blood contract that made such a stubborn and persistent human could never breach it. Still he remembered the mortal's distinctive features before his form slowly changed following the physical features of his body, for desiring the power of the dragon races.

⟨WAHAI CREATURES I DON'T KNOW.⟩

The time is not long.

Can he trust a non-mortal being to guard this egg?

"I-i, i... I can explain. I'm just a cork writer who suddenly died and was sent to this world under the stewardship of the stalk—"

Ding!

"I mean !" Quote Leila at the end of the sentence that almost slipped called the God of Death was a stalker, I could have died again.

Hearing the answer from the creature that did not know the dragon from what race felt surprised instead of playing. He answered her out loud though with a feeling of fear that he could not hide.

If what he said was true and the little creature in front of him was being watched over by a God that this magical creature seemed to respect him a lot. Then, it was possible that he could trust her for this egg.

⟨AKU, GREAT WHITE DRAGON. GUARDIANS OF THE HOMELAND OF ALL MAGICAL BEINGS IN THIS WORLD, WANT YOU TO BE MY APPELLANT UNTIL THIS NEW DRAGON IS READY TO BECOME THE NEXT GUARD.⟩

Her voice that did not shake in the slightest looked at Leila confidently with the injuries she had suffered before Leila reached this world.

"Wait first! You can't do this! I have the right to refuse! You can't force me!" Seeing the dragon's gaze getting less and less radiant made Leila grow even more furious, "hey! You heard, right?!"

The black-colored dragon slowly closed its eyes. He could not want to rot his body on this sacred ground. He chose to stand up while giving a shiny pitch-black scaly egg the head of the little girl he did not know her name.

Leila unknowingly caught a very large egg for her small body. Not far from where they first met. That pitch-black dragon with that golden-yellow liquid that he thought was what it was like was something impossible like him to think of, right?

The black dragon that looked so lethargic was trying to bring his body into the cold water of the lake. Slowly drowning his whole body which now only tells his long head turned back to see the little girl continues to scream at him sitting by holding an egg that looks as big as him.

⟨I BELIEVE IN YOU. HI CREATURE—⟩

"I HAVE A NAME!" Leila took a deep breath staring at the dragon that was like it was about to disappear from her sight. His eyes were feeling very hot right now, "MY NAME IS LEILA! REMEMBER THAT WELL DRAGON LORD!"

Hearing the typical voice of a child plus his voice that was now breaking due to his slow crying began to receive all these surprises.

Died suddenly.

It opens its eyes again after discovering if a system is accompanying you in this fantasy world.

Moreover, seeing the death of a creature that can communicate with him makes it unable to hold back the roar of tears with a large egg being held.

The dragon chuckled at hearing it and replied, ⟨AS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. I DON'T HAVE A GENDER.⟩

"E-uh?!"

Leila's change in face looks very comforting at the end of her life. The black dragon slowly submerged his entire body without any remains and slowly the lake water glowed. The little elf who lived in the water slowly twisted the dragon's carcass. Slowly carrying the carcass of the ranger was getting to the middle of the lake and Leila did not know what happened next.

⟨HEY! DID YOU HEAR THAT? DON'T SHUT ME UP! I DON'T LIKE IT!⟩

"ah! Da? What's?"

Leila came back to her senses with what had just happened. It seemed like he was daydreaming considering the events of the past.

⟨I ASKED 'MAY WHERE ARE YOU?'⟩

"Ohh, i. I'm going to the capital. Sending this manuscript," pointed to a basket full of papers piled up with his fingertips that looked dirty due to the black ink that always accompanied him.

The white-colored creature lowered its head and narrowed its eyes dislike.

⟨CAN'T.⟩

Although there was no emphasis, Leila was well aware that the white dragon in front of her did not want her to come out.

His hands were raised and stroking the mane like his neighbor's cat used to play to his place of residence.

"It won't be long. I-i promise. It's just a little while as usual."

⟨NO, CAN'T! YOU CAN'T GO!⟩

Ah, how adorable this little dragon in front of him is, "what if I bring something from the capital instead?"

The dragon gave his non-verbal answer— shook his head. The last time he remembered that this adorable dragon in front of him was very fond of the sunflower seeds he had brought and he had taken care of to the size of a two-story house.

"I promise, it's just a minute okay."

⟨PERFORMING TO YOU, BUT NOT TO ME.⟩

"I've made automatic protectors around the entrance of—Hutan Fogged. No one will be able to enter just like that. So, don't worry."

Said the words that Leila said managed to incite the five-story-tall white dragon to budge. After all, Leila also always spent her time in addition to taking care of all the inhabitants of the forest or all the living things in it called this 'Holy Land. He also spent time writing that he could never let go of.

"Then." Leila who was wearing all black clothes had changed into a blue dress combined with white, and did not forget also a large dark red robe that covered her body, "I left. Don't insult the river fairies while I'm gone. So, good boy, Ryuu."

Seeing how Leila still thought of him as a child. Ryuu snorted disliked.

"Oh yeah, and especially you're Mr. Raccoon who steals food while I'm gone." Leila points to a raccoon she met drunk after being bribed by a group of irresponsible people and leaving it on the edge of the forest.

The raccoon is gray with around its eyes that are black like a panda, and on the pattern of gray black lines on its tail becomes a special attraction.

The speechless raccoon showed himself feeling talked about by Leila.

Seeing the reaction that Raccoon gave Leila further justified his words, "yes, you! Who else would love to take the cat food that I often keep if I went to the village, huh!"

Who would have thought that that day Leila would come home much longer than Ryuu and all the inhabitants of the Holy Land who already knew her knew.
