The golden year. In the 13th month, where one of the villages in the Kingdom of Everuz. On the southernmost side of the kingdom was a prosperous village that coexisted with the Misty Forest, which was famous for its awesomeness, and the sacred forest that was held every year at the same Lantern Festival.
The festival where everyone in the village had to walk around at night, just as the new moon was born. Everyone carried their lanterns around the village and then lined up to sing a song that never changed for generations. The melody that seduced the hearts of anyone who heard it managed to dispel his unrest for a moment.
After doing all those sequences. Everyone would gather in the field not far from the Misty Forest. Subjugating their heads with the lanterns they had prayed for.
One by one the golden yellow light started flying one by one. Everyone stared in amazement at the dark night sky now strewn with hundreds of lanterns adorning the starless night.
There is one rule that not everyone who lives in the village should break.
"When a new moon will be born and thousands of lights adorn the night sky.
Whispers of wind that no one could hear would come slowly, bringing hundreds of lanterns flying into the Misty Forest.
Anyone is forbidden to follow that golden yellow light."
Once upon a time a middle-aged man who was too complacent with the festival brought his bottle of alcohol to come to the Misty Forest. With a crimson face the man confidently broke the abstinence.
"Only cowards dare not enter the Misty Forest."
As the meaning of his name. The Misty Forest was already there from the elders in the village there. Even in the summer, the fog in the forest did not thin at all. Even the thicker that makes everyone more astonished.
"Bright... Why can't you come in, huh?!"
The drunk man stopped walking at last. Squinting his eyes saw something strange around the Misty Forest.
The man rubbed his eyes in disbelief at what he saw.
Someone was walking around the Misty Forest in a black dress and did not forget the two thin scarves that were the same color as the dress he dragged. Carrying a medium-sized lantern shaped like a lamp that is in the village square that looks very unique in shape.
Feeling that someone was watching him the figure stopped and turned to look at the man who was like he was starting to realize from drinking.
The man could not see his face. But from her appearance, she seemed to be a woman. A thin black cloth that covered his entire face, matching his clothes that made the color of the female's neutrality could be seen from a distance.
The deep red color that shone stared at him sharply. What the man didn't realize was the lantern he was carrying with him he didn't touch at all. It just floated in front of him and what was even more astonishing to the man was the path that the woman had taken like a deep red stream.
"D-AAAAAAAAKKKKHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!"
Everyone thinks it's real. The black-robed female figure, the ruby-red netra owner was the figure of the Misty Forest Guard.
It was an old story that managed to get everyone to obey the rule, until one little boy broke it without him noticing.
"T-please..," the roar of the child's breath as red as the intoxicating drink tried to run and ask for help and without him realizing it entered into the forest that everyone was away from.
Not being careful the little boy stumbled over the roots of the tree that was coming out. What landed first was his face that still had the baby's fat left on both cheeks.
His face that was scratched with some soil and pebbles went into his nose and mouth. The little boy tried to get up regardless of his circumstances.
Taps! Taps! Taps!
The huff-sounding footsteps grew closer and closer. The little boy got back up hoping for help from someone he would soon meet in front of him.
As he walked with one of his little legs that was like one of his knees had a cut. It was evidently painful when the night wind swept his small body.
The little boy tried to bring his body to go deep into the forest and hide behind the big tree in front of him. Which he had unknowingly passed through the mushrooms surrounding the Misty Forest. Without him noticing it was also behind him that the mushroom glowed bright blue and slowly refined the protective magic in the forest.
The little boy was finally able to rest his back and regulate his breathing more calmly now.
"Where is s**l*n's son?! Hmh! Just bother!"
The little boy could hear the muttering of the woman who had chased him to this extent slowly walking away from where he was hiding. For whatever sake, he was now holding his breath and could clearly hear the echoes of his heartbeat with a chill slowly enveloping his small body.
After feeling sure if he is really safe. The little boy dared to peek out from behind the tree. Looking at the village from where he was sitting and a woman with a reddish-brown girly turned away in annoyance at him.
The little boy was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief now. He had just realized that the surrounding was foggy and it turned out that he was in the Misty Forest.
"I-I have to go."
The little boy tried to get up after feeling quite safe. However, something more terrifying than the nightmare was in front of him.
"Only a child turns out to be."
The deg!
That instant also the little boy decomposed like an intoxicating drink that could not move his body. Not daring to raise his head whose position he was bowing in was ready to stand.
From his voice he was sure it was a woman. Looking at the lower body of the woman. The little boy could see the robe and the two thin black scarves he was wearing. The intimidating aura made the little boy unable to do anything.
The woman he didn't know who it was made him instantly berserk in horror. He remembered what the people who often came and went from the house said.
"There are Guards in the Misty Forest."
If his brother says, "He's a hundred percent sure it's him."
The woman who no one had ever seen was apparently glancing sideways, a bright light blue field object featuring a notice that sometimes made her ears hurt.
Ding!
[THE GOD OF DEATH IS WATCHING YOU.]
It was written there and no one could see it but him.
The woman feels strange now. Because the last few years the God of Death rarely watches over him. At first he thought that God was busy taking care of dead souls. However, now he had appeared because of this little boy in front of him.
Bizarrely.
What is so interesting about this little boy in front of him?
The woman he did not know had made the poor little boy freeze in fear now lowered his body. Leaned her face covered in a thin cloth.
"Are you lost?" Tanya was kindly a woman who was stuck in this world somehow for how long she did not count it anymore.
It was unknown how he could die and instead felt the God of Death was a stalker now that he often watched over him.
Oh, he forgot something.
White mist that—lucky no smell this— makes him grateful and always routinely give protective magic in the Misty Forest.
Because it did not get a response from the little boy who lowered his face it made the woman named Leila was worried.
"Does your stomach hurt?"
Leila finally realized something. He opened the cover of his face and showed how a shrunken expression of confusion and question mark look to the child.
"Son? Does your stomach hurt? Need to go to the toilet?
The little boy noticed the change in the atmosphere around him. The aura that had been intimidating now changed more colorful and seemed soft. The little boy gathered up his courage and raised his head, but his eyes were tightly shut not daring to look back at the person who asked him to speak.
Seeing her dirty face and the wound made Leila quite jerked. His hand was raised and by holding the end of a clean shawl.
Leila intended to clean up the child's dirt and wounds. Noticing Leila's hand approaching her face the little boy moved away and they looked at each other. The boy was shocked again with the face of the Misty Forest Guard in front of him.
His face that was impressed mature with his slightly oblong face with his gentle gaze wanted to have good intentions on him. His azure blue netra that seemed soft with the brown mane of a wavy tree trunk, made an impression on the eyes of the little boy was a good person.
"You're dirty" said Leila cleaning the ground that was still on the little boy's face.
"How can you be this dirty, hm?" Timpal Leila who is a young child believes to be the Guardians of the Misty Forest, he thinks maybe(?)
"I-I, I'm falling," the little boy's great-grandson unraveled as red as that intoxicating drink.
Leila who could still hear him and realized on the knee of the child was also injured. His hand was outstretched and wanted to heal the wound, but the growling sound from within the forest made his hand go silent.
"It's dangerous. You better get home soon."
Leila continued healing the child's wounds and looked at him with a gentle gaze. The red mane of the wine made him feel nostalgic.
"You brother deliver to outside hu—"
!!!!!!!
The growls don't like coming back anymore they both heard. The boy looked down and took a step back. Her small body that was shaking violently could clearly see Leila.
"I'll take ya."
Leila held a hand smaller than hers. The fog that was blocking their sight was now slowly thinning and visible to the village in front of them. They were already at the forest border. Just outside the mushroom circle that surrounds this forest.
"Other times be careful. Don't go into the forest anymore" Leila said because she wasn't sure for the second time that someone could survive the wild animals hidden in the forest.
"Thank you," the little boy's great-granddaughter made Leila anxious.
Leila thought it was the last time she would see the child, but for the second and third until so on. Leila often gets notifications from the system about strangers always passing through her protective wall.
"Wait a minute... The red mane of intoxicating drinks. The owner of the green neutrals like emerald crystals filled with mystery, is that him?!"
The woman who just realized that she was trapped in another world. Where this other world was the novel he had previously died in.
Novel series that makes him always stay up late and end up drunk later. Now he's in it.
The story is where the female figure he took from the visual and nature of his friend had to struggle with all the conflicts he made and meet with the villain at the end of the book who is not a person, who is not a person, but three criminals who have the same face.
Leila nicknamed the three criminals 'cause they had the same red mane she had in her old life.
"After so long I realized that I was in my own novel world?!"
