19. My Name is Kirana

Madam Joyce prepared supplies for the Machita assisted camper and miss Asian, the men included tents and other necessities. Saturday afternoon they were leaving, so that afternoon they also had to finish their respective work immediately.

At three o'clock in the afternoon they set off for Poleys Place in Barrington NSW, about a 3.5-hour drive away. For the first time for miss Asian to feel a camper with a family-like stranger in the plains of Australia.

Poleys Place is an area of 500 hectares of green land with complete facilities for recreational camping. The location is close to the Barrington river, so it really feels back to nature. Located secluded and quiet, tents can be set up near the clear flowing river and under the shade of shady oak and bottle trees scattered along the riverbank.

Facilities such as Barbeque Areas, Animal Park, Pet Friendly, Hot Shower and Farm so spoil the eyes of miss Asia because he has never seen and enjoyed a camp that is so complete and amazing.

In addition, visitors can fish, swim, play Kano and there are still many things to do in the vast expanse. Kirana envisions Poleys Place as a vast Cibubur golf course, but it is a remarkable place.

Paulo excitedly headed straight for the Barrington river to cool off his feet and dabbled a little with the water. Doctor Smith and Mr. Bruce set up the tent. A bald old man graciously welcomes their arrival, “Welcome to Poleys Place, may your camper please.”

The Maroon family makes barbeque parties and campfires. In the vast expanse of green grass, stretched the night sky in lieu of a roof. The stars are scattered randomly.

Some visitors brought star binoculars. There was a group of young men singing together around the campfire.

Miss Asian looked at the sky while holding the pendulum of the necklace worn. The whirling wind of the meadow is so tickling and fragrant. He immediately tightened the jacket avoiding the cold air. His job of preparing for the barbecue party is over, and now he wants to enjoy his time alone.

The sky above was so vast without limit. Darkness is unparalleled if only the set of stars that are part of the solar system did not decorate. Both corners of his eyes began to shed crystal circles. Suddenly, he missed his hometown a lot. He misses his family. A deep longing that was not brimmed to the point that his chest felt like it wanted to explode. The current togetherness with the Maroon family makes him even more sad because it reminds him of his family.

“Come on my dear, dinner is ready.” Mr. Bruce pats miss Asian's shoulder.

Disperse neatly arranged daydreams. Miss Asia's back immediately rubbed both cheeks before the Maroons realized what was going on with her.

Miss Asian got up and headed for the small table that had been served food. Mr. Bruce led do’a before eating, then Madam Joyce poured sauce over each barbeque.

They laugh while enjoying a simple but delicious dinner. While miss Asian lazily cut the meat. His heart and mind are not in Poleys Place right now.

“Anything problem, My dear?”madam Joyce asked, realizing her foster daughter had no appetite for food.

Miss Asian flirted, she shook her head to give an answer. But then he got up and went into the tent.

Maroon's family and Smith's doctor turned to watch over the Asian miss who left her dinner. Miss Asian brought back the note she always carried and sat back down.

His hands were trembling nervously.

“There's something you want to say?” ask Dr Smith.

Miss Asia nodded. Everyone looks at each other. Without command, they immediately put down the fork and knife. Put off finishing half the tender beef and start noticing it.

“I want to go back to my country.” Write miss Asia.

Because Mr. Bruce was not very familiar with sign language. Madam Joyce held a surprised breath. So did doctor Smith.

“But... do you know where you're from?” ask Madam Joyce carefully. Miss Asia nodded.

“I'm sorry I lied to you all this time. I never lost my memory. I was just traumatized and afraid to go back home with my condition like this. I was so ashamed of my family and friends there. I didn't have the courage to go home then,” miss Asia stopped writing and gave it to the Maroon family.

He felt sad to feel guilty. The droplets of dripping tears slowly drenched his cheeks. Machita suffocated in shock to read it, until he had to shut his mouth.

“But now, I have to go back home because I miss them. Please, forgive me.” miss Asian continues now began to sound sobs.

But he tried his hardest to continue what had to be done tonight. After a paper tear was given to Joyce's madam, she got up from her seat and knelt before the Maroons.

Paulo's strangled turn sees miss Asia's attitude. Even the group of singing youths who were seven steps away from them stopped and turned towards miss Asia. They whispered and watched the kneeling miss Asia sobbing as if confessing.

Madam Joyce walked towards miss Asia, she crowned miss Asia as she said, “Oh, my dear. You don't have to do this. Rise!” Madam Joyce stroked the cheek of miss Asia gently.

He hugged his adopted daughter tightly. The cries began to sound louder than the two women.

“You've become part of the Maroon family, whoever you are and whatever you've done and all your past, you're still my son. You remain the Maroon family on Maroubra's coast.” Madam Joyce was silent for a moment. He took a deep breath holding the sob and then continued, “Now, tell us, what's your name, and

Miss Asian smiled happily, although she hesitated a bit saying,“My name is Kirana, and I am from Indonesia. Precisely Jakarta,” miss Asia replied with sign language. Mr. Bruce nudged Paulo into asking what it meant.

“One great. Indonesia's? Close to Bali?”ask Paulo who likes to learn maps and dream about the world. Miss Asia shook her head.

“Jakarta. Indonesia Capital. Bali is the name of the island of one of our countries,” he replied.

“Err.... Can you write your name and spell it?”ask Mr. Bruce. Miss Asia then wrote her name and handed it to Mr. Bruce. Paulo, Machita and Smith's doctors also read.

“Beautiful name miss Asia..Umm I mean Kirana. So Indonesia,” said Mr. Bruce blurted out a smile between his thick whiskers.

.”I will lose my roommate,” Machita said in a sad tone. He headed for the girl named Kirana and Madam Joyce, then hugged her tightly together.

“Yeah. We will lose one member of the Maroon family,” Paulo said.

“I never forget how kind you all are. You are still my family and have always been my family in Maroubra. But, let me go and meet my family,” Kirana said.

“Yes my dear. Go to your country. You should meet them because they must have been worried about you for a long time. Don't forget to visit Maroubra. Our house is always open for you,” said Madam Joyce. Kirana immediately hugged and kissed her foster mother's cheek.

“Can you tell me how you were in the Tasman Sea?” ask Mr. Bruce is curious as to who has found and brought him to Maroubra.

Kirana sat back down. He took a slow breath, then began to tell little by little in detail from his journey to Sydney to perform the spring stage at the Sydney Opera House with the Blume Musical School troupe.

“Maybe this will be our last camper and last summer vacation for you. You don't think you're leaving because I kissed you?” smith said as he cleaned the grilling equipment.

Kirana chuckled and shook her head. Doctor Smith faced Kirana and she held both her hands.

“You sure you want to get out of here soon? don't you wait a little more time? I do not mean to prevent you from returning to Indonesia, but I will lose you because I love you so much.”

Doctor Smith said solemnly. Kirana took off Doctor Smith's hand. He smiles. A smile that Doctor Smith liked. Both dimples were so deep and the aura was reassuring to anyone who received his smile.

“I need my family now, and I need to meet them as soon as possible after four years have passed. Sorry doctor, I'm happy to be close to you. But I don't love you. We.better be friends. You'll find a better woman than me and look around you, there's a girl you didn't know she fell in love with for a long time, ” Kirana's fingers moved quickly, ' he said, but it was quite understood by Doctor Smith.

The adult man before him snorted a sigh of resignation. Kirana pats Doctor Smith on the shoulder.

“You have prepared a visa to fly to Indonesia?” ask Mr. Bruce when Kirana gives you a cup of coffee.

Mr. Bruce sat on a rattan chair that was on their small terrace. Cigarette smoke billowed from the thick lips covered in the mustache.

“I can not go by plane,”ujar Kirana use sign language slowly so that Mr. Bruce understands. He doesn't have a passport, anyway.

“Why?” Mr. Bruce wonder.

“I was so traumatized by the accident that I had no courage.”

“So, you will go to Indonesia without plane?” ask Mr. Bruce stopped the coffee that was about to be drunk.

“He can come with you, of course,” says madam Joyce. “Remember when he picked up an American friend of Doctor Smith's two years ago? He had a fever at the airport. He was very afraid to see the plane. Naturally, a very terrible trauma. You can bring it with your ship. Isn't your ship going to Southeast Asian waters?”

“But.my ship is not for passengers. Although transporting goods but also a lot of fish there. You will not like to ride on fish boats. So stinky,” said Mr. Bruce.

“No problem. I can handle it. The most important thing is for me to return home safely,”ujar Kirana.

Mr. Bruce mangosteen. It just so happened that his ship was going to Singapore so Kirana could stop in Batam. Mr. Bruce is a captain in a fishing boat company, he can sail for months and travel the world distributing fish.
