Resistance

Edric was amazed by Daniel's behavior. Lately the theme has always forced Edric to meet. I don't know, Daniel's attitude from the beginning is always difficult to guess. Sometimes he acts out of reason. Maybe Daniel just wanted to cheer her up after getting out of jail?

Edric didn't think much of it. There is something more important to take care of. Today Edric will visit the pastor's house to discuss the blessing of his marriage to Jane.

But on the way when Edric was waiting for the traffic light to turn green, he took the time to check back the files that must be shown to the priest, it turns out there was a copy paper left behind.

Edric had to turn his car back to the house again. Who would have thought he would find the door of his house was already wide open.

Did any robbers come inside? Or maybe Jane Ainsley has found a way out of here?

Edric walked quietly so that his existence was not discovered. He faintly heard the voices of people talking upstairs. Just in case Edric immediately grabbed his gun.

As soon as he arrived, Edric actually saw a surprising 'view', his best friend was chatting with the woman he loved.

A big question came to Edric's mind, since when did the two of them become familiar? Did they drink together at that time? Or maybe even earlier?

Edric tightened his jaw.

Edric was unable to stem his anger, he was like a volcano ready to explode. Jane Ainsley is his, Edric will get rid of anyone who dares to take him no matter who his close friend is. It felt like Edric had hollowed Daniel's head.

So Edric pointed a gun at Daniel.

Daniel raised his hands high, facing Edric. As much as possible Daniel covered Jane using his own body so as not to be shot.

"Edric isn't this action of yours overstepping the line?

"Want you'll stop me?"

"If possible I'll do it.."

Edric laughed loudly at Daniel's reply. Daniel looked at Edric with a strange look. He doesn't know Edric Harisson anymore. His friend has changed.

In the past Edric was a person who was always calm and rarely even showed his expression openly. But now Edric acts implusively without being covered up.

"How heroic are you! Are you an angel?"

Edric cocked his gun. Jane immediately choked. Is the firearm that Edric is holding now really filled with bullets?

The mood began to tighten. Daniel remained silent as if ready with all the possibilities that occurred.

"Let down your gun Edric! I will obey all your will!"

In the end Jane who relented, he did not want any more casualties due to him. Maybe this was the consequence he had to accept. There is always reciprocity in all actions, including his revenge plan. Didn't Daniel remind Jane from the beginning? But he remains stubborn.

"Jane Ainsley! Stay behind me!" Daniel debates.

"Haha! Hard to believe, you betrayed me!"

"Understand Edric, it's in your interest too!"

"Close your mouth! I don't want to hear the advice of a traitor."

Without hesitation Edric pulled the trigger. The bullet rushed towards Daniel.

DORR!!

The sound of the weapon eruption was so deafening. The smell of gunpowder was airborne followed by the impact of Daniel's body to the floor. Jane shouted loudly.

"Oh! Nah! Nah! Daniel!!"

As she approached Daniel, she saw blood seeping on his clothes..

"Hold on!"

Jane tried to cover up Daniel's gunshot wound using her own hand, hoping the blood from the wound would stop flowing.

"Come on, I'll stop it." whispered Daniel.

Jane shook her head strongly. Jane's tears are breaking. Daniel was smiling.

Even under these circumstances Daniel can still make jokes. But Jane was crying harder.

"There's no time for drama!"

Edric walked closer. Suddenly Daniel clutched Edric's ankle until he fell.

"Go Jane."

"You're still acting like a bad luck hero!"

Edric was about to shoot Daniel back.

"Bring me!!" Jane Exclamations.

Jane turns herself in and tries to dissuade Edric from harming Daniel again.

"You're lucky."

Edric kept his gun back, then he grabbed Jane by the hair and dragged her towards the car. Jane screamed in pain. His scalp was sore as if Edric had pulled out all his hair.

No need to wait until the weekend, Edric should immediately take Jane to the priest to hold the marriage pledge before other distractions appear.

"Clean the bloodstains that dirty your hands."

Edric threw a handkerchief at Jane. Either Edric's gonna take it where Jane's better off. Hopefully Daniel Wynford can still survive and save himself.

A few minutes after Edric took Jane away, Daniel painstakingly took his cell phone in his pants pocket. His eyes began to twitch because he was spitting out a lot of blood. Daniel did not think that Edric could do so desperately to harm him like this.

"Mom, Edric has escaped with a prisoner."

"D14l! So your friend has really gone crazy!"

Daniel's mother, Rene Wynford, is not reluctant to curse for criminals who act. Today he asked for permission to patrol the streets with his colleagues at the request of his son.

"Edric's license plate is EH-428, then please send me an ambulance.."

"You're hurt?!!"

Rene Wynford half shouted in surprise. The friend next to him immediately rolled his eyes.

Daniel's eyelids are getting heavier. His consciousness is starting to decline. He could faintly hear the sound of ambulance sirens approaching.

Help has come.

The medical team discovered that Daniel Wynford had fainted from bleeding heavily. They immediately put on an oxygen hose.

"He's got a gunshot wound!"

"We need to get the bullet out!"

Daniel was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital.
