Chapter6

“Nas, Nas department. Nawat!” exclaimed Deswita who was still running towards Kinasih while talking.

Kinasih saw his best friend so hurriedly, he could only be dumbfounded to see Deswita approaching like a panicked person.

Kinasih could not say anything. Deswita was so excited there was no chance for Kinasih to ask.

Deswita then sat down in front of Kinasih, she looked around as if her speech was afraid of being heard by others.

“What the hell is it? Secrets yes?” tanya Kinasih spoke slowly.

“Actually not really, but if Maruta heard how?”

“About what?”

“About him. So, a few days ago there was a city person here.”

Kinasih was immediately stunned, he was also confused if Maruta heard that it was okay or even Maruta deserved to know? Right now he's in front of the house, opening the windows, curtains, usually straight away.  Because it was since Maruta woke up and Kinasih was busy in the kitchen so had not been sorted out in front.

“Can, can. Briefly,” ucapi Kinasih.

Then Deswita told me that actually about a few days ago, there were city people who met the village office. They want to find the missing person, maybe the villagers know or have heard or known the sign for the missing person.

Fortunately the one in the village was his uncle Deswita. Uncle Deswita knew how attached Kinasih was to Maruta, so he told the townspeople a lie.

However, Uncle Deswita also promised to try to check all of his citizens, who knows if anyone found the missing person.

Actually Uncle Deswita did not want to lie, so he promised like that to the city people. Because it is actually impossible for the village apparatus not to know the big events in his village, so the position of Uncle Deswita was actually confused at that time.

“Then how is Des?” kinasih said, his voice sounded sad.

“Yes, how should you? We can't hide for long either. Unless the Marutanya wants. It means he does not have to go out of the house, do not say anything, but it is impossible that living people should move. We can't be selfish either.”

Kinasih heard what Deswita said. There is a point, but it seems Kinasih is not ready if at this time must lose Maruta.

“Just I've been so sorry, maybe there's still some time to think.”

Kinasih's question signified that he was really unstable in his thinking. Can't be in sync with what Deswita said.

“Yes, it means thinking that you are ready to accept the situation or let it run as usual. Maruta sells to the market, doing regular activities.

Then, when I see his brother Maruta, I am grateful. If not, be grateful too. How is it up to fate.”

“Iya anyway,” Answer Kinasih briefly with a blank look forward. It was as if I was thinking about something but there was no passion.

“Yes, I just want to nyampein it. It's still morning, I haven't washed,” said Deswita as she moved from her seat after patting Kinasih's hand, then she left.

When up to the front Deswita was asked by Maruta who was sweeping the front porch, what was the purpose of his arrival because the tumben was still morning.

“Nothing. Ordinary, women's affairs,” said Desita lying by continuing to walk home.

Maruta was still ordinary when he heard what needs Deswita came. He didn't know his wife in the kitchen was daydreaming.

Maruta still continues his work on the porch of the house. As for Kinasih while daydreaming, he brewed coffee and some snacks for the morning meal.

If for breakfast they usually rarely cook, especially the mood of Kinasih is now bad. Most if to buy side dishes can buy so only later in the rice stall.

“Hey, daydreaming,” reprimanded Mr. Karso when he went to the kitchen, saw his daughter stirring coffee with a gaze of no passion.

“Eh father,” response Kinasih surprised by his father's arrival, but his response was just ordinary.

“What's up?” ask Mr. Karso again.

Although Mr. Karso is a man, precisely a father, but because he took care of Kinasih since childhood without a mother, then Mr. Karso sensitized what her daughter's grief was.

“There are those who are looking for Maruta, Well,” said Kinasih.
