Chapter 64: Finding the Key

"It is wrong to accompany the wife to go for a walk to her friend's house???" said David asked back.

"WHAT?!!, WIFE-TO-BE?!!," Kinara was shocked by David's words.

Kinara turned her gaze to Velia as if asking for an answer.

Velia smiled stiffly getting a strange look from her best friend.

''Hmm how to explain it. I'm confused too!!," said Velia hesitantly.

''Why are you confused??, are you really my future wife??. Are you hesitant now so don't admit it well?!!, '' protested David.

''Wooyy remember this is not your home!!, do not fuss here dong!, said Kinara.

''Shut up!!, '' said Velia and David in unison.

Velia gets dizzy on her own because her words make David misunderstand, while David feels annoyed that Velia does not acknowledge their relationship.

''Okay I explained first!!, '' said Velia.

Kinara brought her body closer to Velia in order to hear clearly the explanation that would come out of her best friend's mouth.

''Davjd has proposed to me personally but we have not held an engagement officially because there is still business to be done first!!, '' continued Velia.

''Don't tell you Nara, David's parents don't know about this!!" said Velia.

''Are you sure about this man??,'' asked Kinara while staring intensely at David from head to toe.

David became goosebumps with Kinara's horror look at him. "It turns out they were both eleven twelve!!. Strange and unique!," his inner.

"Yes sure dong!!" replied Velia.

"Be careful if you hurt Velia, I will kill you!!," Kinara threatened as she pointed her eyes at him with two fingers and pointed them at David.

"Not bother, I will do it myself!!" said Velia.

Velia's phone rang when a call came in, and Velia quickly answered the call.

"Hello!!," replied Velia.

"Okay, we'll be there soon!. Wait for us to come!!," said Velia and disconnected the phone.

"Kinara looks like we say goodbye first well, later we can walk together again!. I have important business!," said Velia and woke up from her seat following David.

"Yes, if so!, tell me if you want to walk?!," said Kinara.

"Of course, we go first. Greetings to my Mama two!," said Velia then left the house with David.

They got into the car and left Kinara's house.

"Who's calling??" asked David who was curious because he faintly heard a man's voice from across the phone.

"Alden!," shortened Velia.

"Why did he call you instead of calling me??!!" David said.

Velia rolled her eyes feeling careless with David's attitude that felt excessive since accepting his proposal.

"I'm definitely the one on the phone. The boss is him, am I not you Daviiid!!," vexed Velia. He began to feel sorry for bringing David along.

"Yes, too" said David. He then refocused on driving his car.

Soon their car arrived at an empty house with a land filled with trees.

"Boss!!," said Alden.

Velia nodded her head and said. "Where is he??,"

Alden immediately showed me a room and opened the door for his boss.

They entered the room like the previous room.

Velia walked over to the man who was sitting and tied up in a chair.

Alden quickly gave the chair to Velia then he stood behind Velia as well as David who stood on the other side.

"Hay Uncle, long time no see!," said Velia.

The middle-aged lung man puffed his face then looked at Velia question markingly.

"Who are you??" asked the man.

"I'm Velia Selkova, daughter of Gio and Shela Selkova!. Has Uncle forgotten??" said Velia.

The man was wide-eyed, he was very surprised by what he had just heard.

"Why are you looking for me??" the man asked loudly as if challenging Velia.

"You are the key to the problems that have occurred between my family and Marvin's!," Velia said coldly.

"Ma-Marvin??" said the man. His attitude changed like fear after hearing Marvin's name.

"Why are you so afraid of Uncle William after hearing that name??" asked Velia who was increasingly suspicious of William's behavior.

"What do you want from me??" asked William.

"Uncle must have known about twenty years ago!!" said Velia, playing her pistol in front of William.

The middle-aged man's body trembled instantly upon hearing Velia's question about his past. A cold sweat drenched his forehead as he saw Velia holding a firearm.

"I-I don't know anything. I was just their assistant then. There's no way I knew about the accident!" William said.

Velia smiled obliquely. He managed to trap William.

"I haven't asked you about the accident!" said Velia.

In the same room. David and Alden faithfully accompanied Velia as well as being the best listeners of the situation that is happening now.

"Why is uncle so afraid to hear Marvin's name??. Answer me this question first!" Velia ordered.

Nervously William answered. "Child Marvin! the one named Tristan is chasing me and wants to finish my life!!" he said.

"Why??" Velia raised one eyebrow.

"After Marvin died, I married his mother and tortured them so he took revenge on me!!" William explained.

Then William began to tell all the events he knew about the accident twenty years ago that resulted in Marvin's death.

"Then uncle will come with me and explain everything!, I will look for other evidence!!" said Velia. William nodded.

"Take him to the base, keep him from escaping anything else to death!," Velia ordered. Then he left that place with David.

Alden and his men took the man to the base at the behest of their boss.
