Chapter 106: What It Means to Be a Hero!!

Subaru after shouting at the White Whale, turned his gaze towards where Rem and Ravel were going. Realizing that he can't see them anymore, the black-haired young man stood silently waiting for Ojou-sama to cast wind magic to clear the fog.

Subaru had to exert everything in one strike, he only had one chance to kill the Pope, because he did not want to prolong the battle and make the White Pope make his clone, he said, and he didn't want to lose any more so he stood up. with his head held high, not seeing anything.

"They should have arrived by now..." Subaru whispered a little nervously as the girls had arrived safely, but before his worries increased, he felt a gentle breeze that cleared the fog completely.

At that very moment Subaru turned his gaze in all directions to search for his prey, he looked everywhere before finding his target, the great whale in the sky covered in wounds, Subaru smiled and went towards him.

Crusch sat on his Earth Dragon, waiting for the signs of the White Pope, as he stroked it next to the carving of the Lion of the Karsten Family on it.

"Rem-san, Ravel-san. Did something happen?" Crusch asks Rem and Ravel, the two girls approach Crusch before the blue-haired maid speaks.

"Kady Crusch's. Subaru had a plan to kill the Pope so he asked us to go see you, Lady Ravel will use wind magic to remove the fog for a while" Rem said as he bowed in a sign of respect to Crusch, the Green Dark-haired girl seemed to think of something before nodding.

"OK I'll get the soldiers back here, have a better plan than waiting for him to show up." And after that Crusch called all the soldiers back, with some sort of signal with his magic, Ravel stood beside Crusch while stretching her body.

Sighing, the Phoenix girl started managing the Mana of the surroundings while using her own Mana to move the wind, then she smiled and gave strength to her hands. So a gentle breeze blew across the meadow, clearing it from the mist of the White Whale. (A/N: By the way, I said mana, because in DxD they don't use Prana for spells, besides Ravel is a demon that makes handling Mana easier.And since this is the world of Fantasy, Where is more. Nor does anyone in it. The World of Re:Zero occupies the Mana that is on their planet)

"Excellent .." said Crusch as he watched the Lifaus Highway become clear, he paused for a few seconds before looking at Ravel. "I'm sorry to ask that it's annoying, but... How do you use magic without chanting spells?"

Crusch's question was already anticipated by Ravel, she smiled elegantly as she looked ahead, proud of her work.

"That's no trouble, Crusch-san. The answer is simple, my family has the power to master miracles with their imagination. You can think of it as part of our physiology." Ravel replies while still smiling Ojou-sama, but before Crusch can continue having one of the soldiers point his finger forward while shouting.

“Teams...!” Crusch would give the order to the Army to go help the black-haired young man, but before he could do so. Ricardo's voice stopped him.

"Stop."

“Hah?” crusch was confused by Ricardo's words.

"You don't seem to understand. Let me explain, if you pay attention to my brother's face when they say his loss, you can see how bad he is for his loss ... He blamed himself for what happened." Ricardo said as he looked at Subaru once more, Ricardo could only stare at him for a while before continuing to speak.

"He did this because he didn't want anyone else to die, he went alone facing danger to protect the one he loved." Ricardo nodded at Ravel and Rem. Crusch turned his head to look at the girls' expressions only to see them staring at Subaru's back with complete trust in him.

"Also you should see his expression now, he had no regrets, no fear in it. He only had a smile, a brave and stupid smile..." Ricardo was silent for a few seconds, everyone saw a smile on Subaru, and finally understood what was going on.

Ricaro and Wilhelm spoke at the same time silencing the rest of the soldiers and Crusch.
