Chapter 100: Tonight We Will Kill the White Pope!

A/N: Before starting this chapter, I want to show you something I think about, actually I was under stress and did this to ease it a bit. What you will see is the opening I made, I hope you like it.

Wilhelm was looking at the dark night sky, while the beautiful moon was above him. The old man sighed as he felt the sound of flowers blowing in the wind.

“Do you want to give me something, Subaru-dono?” Wilhelm said as he listened to Subaru's footsteps standing beside him and looked at the moon, the young man extended his hand towards the glowing orb in the sky, in his hand a sword materialized.

“Beautiful sword, Subaru-dono.” 

The black-haired youth nodded at Wilhelm's words, this sword is his best work so far, Subaru is very proud of this sword. Especially since he made it for Wilhelm, that sword...

"The sword has the power to fill the love feelings of the person using it, and give a boost to their abilities... I know you were injured in the shoulder, so I want to give this to fill your feelings of killing that monster.” Subaru said as he explained the function of the sword, saying, Wilhelm who listened carefully would inevitably glance at the sword a second time.

"Thank you, Subaru-dono... Thanks to you I remembered something that I shouldn't have forgotten." said Wilhelm bowing, and walking away from Subaru. The black-haired boy froze in confusion, Subaru did not understand what had just happened.

"Well, the sword is called Love Rush..." Subaru said unknowingly before turning to Crusch, less than 2 hours before the White Whale hunt began.

As the time drew near, the area around the Great Flugel Tree was filled with a tense atmosphere, Subaru sat on the Patrasche with Ravel and Rem, but this time Ravel was behind and Rem in front. This was part of Subaru's plan, so a little nervously Subaru looked at the screen of his phone.

"Two more minutes." said Subaru while giving some pointers to Rem and Ravel. Crusch, who was a few meters away from the black-haired boy, did not hear what he said, but still the future heir waited patiently.

"It wasn't long before the allotted time." 

With a single mutter Felix at Crusch's side nodded, even now the cat-eared boy was not making a joke. It was not that he was immersed in tension, it was because Felix knew his role and was really willing to fulfill it.

Everyone was silent waiting for the arrival of the White Pope, not a single sound, not a single cough was heard, time passed so slowly that two minutes seemed to have been extended to 2 hours, Subaru looked at his phone, it had been a while, Subaru's heartbeat made a sound that was almost the same as clockwork.

Just when that pressure was about to crush Subaru, it happened…

Suddenly, the tone of the phone rang throughout the Lifaus Highway, people immediately prepared for battle, seconds after seconds passed and the only thing that sounded was to make everyone nervous.

“All teams, be on alert!” Crusch yells to appease the younger, as time goes by Subaru can swear that the song's voice is getting distorted, Subaru is really wondering about his sanity now.

Crusch casually thought that something had happened, a difference of information. The wrong assumption. Some kind of random accident, but when everyone was about to calm down, a gigantic shadow hid under the moonlight, along with the voice of the Pope flooding the Lifaus Highway.

Looking up at Crusch immediately condemning his thought process, it was clear that the night was not normal at all, something was going on, something terrible... Crusch swept his eyes across all the soldiers.

"Be careful, it seems like the Pope has two types of fog... One that erases people's existence and the other changes Prana's flow drives us crazy, so be careful where you position yourself" Subaru said to Crusch and the soldiers, listening to his warning with all the seriousness in the world, Crusch looked towards the pope and saw that the pope turned his head from side to side as if lost.

'It's full of loopholes, it's time to strike.' Crusch thought as he prepared to signal, but before he did, the black-haired boy shouted.

"Ravel, Brake. Now!"

"Al Huma!!"

Rem created an ice pillar aimed at the Pope, while Ravel made a fire figure to distract the Evil Beasts, while all of that happened, Subaru told Crusch.

"I'll get his attention! Try to attack him with everything!"

And then Patrasche headed towards the White Pope, Crusch jolted from his shock and took a deep breath.

"Everyone, follow Natsuki-san! Tonight we're going to kill the White Whale!"
