I Can Be Happy Without You, Mom

I Can Be Happy Without You, Mom
Chapter 104 Apologizing

"I'm really sorry Laila, I don't know if it's going to happen like this. You can hit me, maki me. Whatever you want to do, do it,"

Alif prostrated at his wife's feet with tears.

"What by doing that can all make our son come back, Mas? No, no!"

Laila looked at the bitch.

"I won't compete with your mother for your attention and love, Mas. I'll give in, I'll take a step back,"

Her heart ached as she said it, yet it seemed like the best path for her.

"No, don't say it's Laila. I love you, I won't let you go,"

Alif does not want to live alone without love anymore, he can be destroyed for the umpteenth time if it happens.

"Go, Mas!"

Laila pushed on her husband and quickly closed the door. But he did not move from his place, he sat behind the door crying. She wishes her husband a lot, she wants her marriage to Alif to be her last and forever. Didn't expect it to end even in a matter of months.

While Alif remained unmoved in front of the door. His feelings shattered into pieces hearing his wife giving up on their marriage. He was determined to keep waiting for Laila there, no matter what. They need to be able to repair their relationship.

"How's the case going, Michelle, Mas?" ask Rania.

"You won't believe it, honey. Last night Anto sent me a message about it but I just read it," replied Rangga.

Rania scrunched her forehead.

"Why indeed?"

"Michelle was released, she was shown to have a psychiatric illness. The results of the doctor's examination and the confession of his mother and the evidence of medical records from the hospital where he was treated all along stated so," Rangga was silent for a moment.

"He was put in a mental hospital to get treatment" he added.

"Astagfirullah, pity him. It's been two women who've been crazy about you to the point of depression, Mas,"

"Your husband is a woman's dream, so you must be grateful I chose you," seduced Rangga while poking his wife's chin.

"Ish. Proud to be a snatch. Learn to be a playboy, yeah,"

Rania pinched her husband's waist until Rangga felt amused.

"Bare now,"

Anxious, he kissed his wife's lips a little harshly. Rania who was without preparation could only resign.

"Mas, no! I'm still in puerperium,"

His wife's words awakened to her who had been slain.

"I'm sorry, honey,"

Rangga kissed his wife's forehead.

"I'm the one who should be apologizing for not being able to carry out my duties, Mas,"

"Don't you, it's also because you've been fighting to give birth to my offspring,"

Both smiled and hugged.

"Oh yeah baby, I have a surprise for you. I actually wanted to give it to you after you gave birth, but due to many unexpected events I forgot,"

Rangga walked towards the safe. He took a gift box that was decorated in such a way that it looks very beautiful.

"Here's honey, open it up,"

Rangga handed the gift to his wife.

"Well, what is this?"

Rania was so surprised, she did not expect her husband would prepare a gift like this. Slowly he began to open it.

"Jeez, this is too much, man,"

Clear liquid began to pool in his eye peluk because of teasing. A set of exquisite jewelry was plastered before his eyes.

"That's under it still, try to open it," Rangga said.

"This paper?" ask Rania.

Rangga. There are two papers that contain several sheets.

"Mas, thank you,"

"Are you happy?" ask Rangga.

"Happy, but this must be expensive huh? It is located in an elite area. Why buy two? It's a waste of money, too,"

Rania felt a pity for her husband to buy her two houses in the elite area. Even though their house is already very big, why buy another house.

"All investments dear, we don't know how our life will come. You can give it to Alisa and the Stars when they grow up,"

Rania looked at her husband with gratitude. He was very concerned about the future of his two children, even though they were not his biological children. She is very grateful to have a husband as good as Rangga.

In the afternoon.

Alif had been sitting in front of Laila's house for hours. Without eating or drinking, he just stared at the door. He wished his wife pity and opened the door for him. Without realizing it, Laila did not know if she still felt there.

The sky turned cloudy, the wind started blowing fiercely. Raindrops began to wash over the earth. The distinctive fragrance of the land that is splashed with rain water is so pleasant to the sense of smell.

"Laila, I'm sorry" muttered Alif.

His body felt weak, his head began to twitch. He left his parents' home without any breakfast. It was late in the afternoon and his stomach was still not filled in the least.

Derr...

The sound of thunder boomed, the rain speck turned into a torrent, flushed until splashed about Alif's clothes and body. He began to shiver in the cold. There was a bag of clothes nearby, yet there was no desire of her to wear it as a cold repellent. He wanted his wife to know his seriousness.

Laila wanted to close the window as rainwater poured into her house. He accidentally looked outside. Her eyes were on her husband who was cold out there.

"Mas Alif, why hasn't he come home yet? Oh God..."

His heart was still watching the scene before him. Love and pity were mixed in his heart. She could not see her husband that way.

KreKK...

At her door and ran small towards her husband.

"Mas, what are you doing? Don't be childish like this, embarrassed to see the neighbors,"

Laila held onto her husband's arm which started to stagger weakly.

"Chelle..."

That was all that was said from Alif's lips before he hugged his wife. Looks like he's gonna faint.

"Mas, are you okay?"

Laila began to worry, she immediately let her husband into the house. Because she did not want her husband to catch a cold in the absence of all Alif's clothes and then covered her.

"You shouldn't be doing this, Mas" muttered Laila as she made her warm tea.

"Chelle..." Alif opened his eyes.

"Yes, drink this warm tea to keep your body warm,"

Laila helps her husband drink.

"I haven't eaten since morning, Laila," Alif said.

Laila sighed violently. He should have almost fainted. Apparently not eating and then exposed to rain water, must have caught wind.

"I'll get you some food first,"

Laila went into the kitchen. He returned with a plate of his cooking.

"Can you eat by yourself?"

"I'll try,"

Alif took the plate and began to spoon the food into his mouth. But because his hands were shaking, his food splattered on the mattress.

"Let me take a bribe, Mas,"

Patiently she fed Alif.

"Don't leave me Laila, I love you" Alif said.

"Don't misunderstand my attitude Mas, if people are in trouble we should help" replied Laila.

"What if I were someone else, you'd also open up all that guy's clothes?"

Laila looked at Alif, then left him. Of course she did it because she was her husband. And honestly, he still loves that guy.
