Grandpa's Choice Man

Grandpa's Choice Man
Women from the Past

"Abang, let's go. Behind the many in line," urged Tiara pushed Rama's body but felt so heavy that it did not even shift from place.

"Before a moment, Ra," said Rama with his flat face still staring at Nafisa full of meaning.

His tongue suddenly felt as if he did not allow Rama to ask various questions that were running around in the head. His eyes seemed reluctant to close to make sure that the figure in front of him was not a mere dream.

"Where are you going, Rama?" tanya Nafisa is shy.

"You go to Surabaya. Where are you going?" rama asked back with astonishment.

"I want to go back to Semarang. Want to go home to the old man," answered Nafisa did not dare to look at Rama in front of her.

"Isn't Mr Latif a lecturer in Jakarta? Has he moved?" rama asked quite enthusiastically.

"Dad retired and chose to spend his old age in his hometown, he said," answered Nafisa still standing reluctant to sit down before Rama left.

"S... Which husband?" rama asked doubtfully and actually did not want to ask that.

Nafisa lowered her head deeper with a reddened face. Suddenly, two tears fell free from his eyes. It makes Rama regretted asking.

"There is no need to answer if it is not acceptable. Sorry," added Rama.

Tiara who had followed Rama seemed to be the air that only existed as a complement without being considered his presence. I don't know what he felt, maybe annoyed because Rama seemed to care so much about the woman? Or annoyed that Rama did not heed his words? I don't know. What was clear was that he wanted to go all the way from the sight that hurt his eyes - perhaps even his heart.

"I am divorced" answered Nafisa softly and stammered.

Rama could not show his surprise, although only for a moment and returned to calm as all.

"Haven't weathered it yet? I'm ahead, Bang. Lazy is a mosquito repellent. Move over!" snapped Tiara interjected and urged Rama's body to pass through.

Without waiting for Rama to agree, Tiara passed away from the presence of Rama and Nafisa. Tiara hoped that Rama would call to follow or prevent but not to hear his voice. In fact, their voices in the distance increasingly sounded familiar and chimed in with each other without any burden at all. There is a sense of disappointment in the corner of his deepest heart but immediately pushed aside so as not to drag on and make him upset. He shook his head and steadied his steps trying to dispel the strange taste within him.

"Why is Bang Rama so submissive to him? Was he the first love Bang Rama meant? So what's wrong if that's the case? Why would I want to be so angry when I'm just his wife... Ha's? Only wife? Only wife? I'm his wife, right?" tiara murmured convoluted with her mind until her steps and gaze did not focus on the path she was going through.

"Sir," said a man drawing Tiara's consciousness.

Suddenly, Tiara stopped when greeted by the train conductor who was about to check on passengers. The conductor accidentally calls Tiara knowing that Tiara is walking without a clear direction and destination. His eyes were watching not watching the thing in front.

"Oh yes, sir," Tiara replied nervously.

"Don't daydream, Ma'am. Kesambet lo later. Where's the seat?" ask the conductor kindly.

Tiara's mouth suddenly stiffened as if reluctant to say something. He showed the conductor two tickets in his hand.

After checking the ticket, the benevolent conductor escorted Tiara to the seat that had turned out to be in the carriage earlier. Upon arriving at the seat, Tiara thanked the conductor.

After adjusting the slope of the back and leg rests in her chair, Tiara leaned back and tried to close her eyes. He wanted to immediately meet his drowsiness in order to rest his head from curiosity because Rama did not return to him.

Is this a conspiracy? Don't just drop me off with an alibi so they can easily elope. Oh. Am I going to be a widow at this young age? Astege. But, it's okay. I'm still a virgin so it's not a big deal. Tiara said in her heart.

Shortly after the train signposts went off, Rama returned. His face was indeed cold but there was warmth in his eyes that was deliberately not shown. He sat beside Tiara without a word.

"Kukira Abang is still at home there," Tiara chirped open the word.

"What the hell. Just an old friend too" said Rama cuek while arranging the back of his chair and legs.

"Related old friend? But, is your gaze different?" tiara asked, beginning to be curious.

"Obsolutely normal. Yes indeed a college friend," replied Rama coldly.

"It looks like a saliha woman huh, Bang. Be soft. Beautiful too. She was your first love at the time?" ask again Tiara can no longer hold back.

"If so, why?" rama's back asked lazily in response to Tiara.

"Abang still loves him? He knows you're married?" tiara said hopefully will be confirmed by Rama.

"What the hell are you talking about. Unambiguous. Why anyway? Kepo really," answered Rama a bit raised intonation but still clear his voice so as not to disturb other passengers.

Hearing Rama's reply, Tiara was stunned for a moment. His chest thumped and his hands trembled. Tiara felt Rama's response was excessive for his simple question so disappointed could no longer be avoided.

"She's just asking too, Bang. It was usual for her to answer," Tiara grumbled to look away at the window.

"Yes, you do kepo too. About the feeling of privacy. Not all things you can interfere even though we are husband and wife. You think I'm that child hiding our marriage just for reasons that don't make sense like you? Excuse me. I'm not that cowardly," said Rama but very striking.

Rama's words managed to reach Tiara without feeling until he no longer dared to spit out his questions. He knew enough to not dodge because he had lost a landslide. His heart was torn by the sharp words of Rama who was very painful. In fact, his eyes heated up and his gaze began to faint. Shortly after he bowed his head, a clear grain of water flowed down his cheek. He bit his lips hard and let his breath to hold his urge so as not to be obvious.

Rama, who had been consumed by emotion, suddenly collapsed when he saw Tiara's face in the reflection of a glass that hid deep sadness. He realized his words might be outrageous but he also did not understand why they could not control him. He also did not know what emotions were in him at this time to vent to Tiara who actually raised reasonable questions. Guilt also haunted his mind.

"Tiara," called Rama while wiping Tiara's hand but Tiara brushed him off.

"I'm sorry if my words are outrageous" said Rama humbled himself and his voice.

Tiara flinching. He tried not to get hurt but the reality had penetrated his mind to the incredible pain. His eyes could not stop flowing the sadness that was not supposed to be in him.

While being confused to persuade Tiara, Rama's cell phone rings once and elicits a message notification from a contact named Nafisa. Rama decides to open it while looking for a way to apologize to Tiara, which seems to take longer than usual.

Naphisa

Ram, don't expect fate to bring us back. Yes, even though everything is different.

Ramah

Hopefully this meeting will connect our relationship.

Naphisa

I didn't think you could stop being a bad boy and be successful like this

Ramah

Not that great. It's also a lot of learning.

Naphisa

Your wife's beautiful. Cute. Funny too. I want to get to know him. I want to know the woman who can conquer your heart. He's not jealous if there's a woman from your past present? 😂

Ramah

Get acquainted. He's not necessarily. Sometimes friendly, sometimes unstable. But, he's good. It doesn't seem like we're going to be jealous either because we're still liberating each other but we still have to have boundaries.

Naphisa

Lucky for the woman who can be with you. Attentiveness. The understanding. Not demanding because of mutual trust.

Ramah

I'm not that perfect. You deserve better than me.

Naphisa

But, not necessarily they want to accept my situation.

Ramah

Don't be like that. There's gotta. Haven't met yet.

Naphisa

Never mind. Let's talk some more time. Accompany your wife. Afraid that he will be jealous. Be rested. The journey is long.

Ramah

Ok

After he finished sending a message with Nafisa, Rama did not find a way to persuade Tiara. He continued to rack his brain until he found Tiara staring with her eyes. When Rama was about to wipe his reddish cheek, he immediately repelled it full of anger. There is still the rest of the disappointment that sparkles in his iris that makes Rama's regret deepened.

"Ra" said Rama, sitting upright and trying to lock Tiara's eyes.

"Awas," told Tiara to escape from the view of Rama which made him not bear to silence it for a long time but heartache overpowering him.

"Ra.Tiara," persuaded Rama while moving his head towards the eyes of Tiara fixed in order to meet his eyes.

"Awas, Bang," told Tiara to sound weak but to bear with vexation.

"Honey, don't be angry" said Rama can no longer find a way to make Tiara want to forgive him.

Tiara glared at Rama with a sharp look. Then, he snorted but reached out to the side of Rama's face.

Rama was very enthusiastic and closed his eyes were ready to be rubbed Tiara. However, he waited a long time and Tiara did not touch him. He also opened his curious eyes. Right in front of her eyes, Tiara received two boxes containing snacks from a flight attendant as facilities from the train she was riding. After that, the flight attendant also handed a bottle of mineral water to Rama.

"Good fun, Mr. Rama and Bu Tiara. Free flow for snack and drink. Just take it in the minibar. There it is" said the flight attendant very politely, pointing at a minibar near the door that connects with the carriage in front of him.

"Well," Tiara replied kindly.

"Thank you, Mister, Ma'am. Have a nice trip" said the flight attendant, passing from the seat of Rama and Tiara to serve other passengers.

After the flight attendant left, Tiara's face went sour when she saw Rama who kept watching her. He gave a box of snacks to Rama without looking into his eyes. After a while, Rama did not receive it until Tiara had to lift her face to see Rama. He was not surprised when he saw Rama was ready to receive his gaze. It's ordinary like that.

"I'm sorry, yes" asked Rama while putting two mineral waters in his hand in a worship-like position.

Tiara snickered while putting the snack box into Rama's lap and took one of the mineral waters in Rama's hands without speaking. He was still very upset with the changing attitude of Rama made his heart seem to be pulled back as he pleased. Tiara looked back at the window that presented a dark view out there. There were only the lights of the house in the distance and the sky was slightly cloudy gray.

"Indeed, she was my first love. Ra, what if I still love him? Are you jealous?" rama asked suddenly.
