CHAPTER 12: The Rejected Promise

Friday night, Lovely's house was busy with people preparing for her birthday party. All of his Junior High School friends and tutoring friends invited. Shown by Lovely will be many of his friends who arrive with his girlfriend each.

"Mama, why do I have a birthday party anyway? I'm ashamed, it's big. If you want a party, Anniversary Mama Papa aja. I don't have a birthday" Lovely said.

"But the party together with Anniversary Mama Papa. There will be a dance party. I can't dance because I don't have a boyfriend. My friends must have brought their girlfriends"

"Lho you should dance too! There will definitely be a boy friend of yours who does not bring a partner" said Papa.

"When there's no guy you can dance with?" ask Mama.

"Papa wants to see who your close friends are. You're 15 tomorrow. You can have a boyfriend who can take care of you, ask you out. But not a date!" said Papa.

"I... I actually invited a guy Pa" Lovely said.

"That's Pa, my senior at eskul Badminton. He's an athlete and he's in the club"

"You mean your senior is your eskul coach? Ken? Or Mark?"

"Dearly enough. Papa had hoped you could be close to one of them" Papa looked disappointed "Ken and Mark used to be your age as Papa's training child. Papa was still actively training. Mark's son is submissive while Ken is hard. Papa put them in the men's doubles. Papa is now more active on campus, rarely to clubs. So they practice the same om Ery more often" Papa told me.

Saturday afternoon at 5 pm Lovely has entered the makeup room. Last Jo called at 2, he said again looking for a gift. Now Lovely is being groomed after her Mama. Mama Lovely is very pretty, her dress is very beautiful with graceful makeup makeup.

"Thank you" Lovely happy "Where in the swimming club? Busy huh? Brother Ricky keep the champion!"

"It's busy, so I rarely see you. We haven't seen him in 6 months? I've been to a lot of championships"

"Yes..."

"Where is your swimming training? You're going to swim SMU?"

Lovely shakes. "This 3 months of swimming training I'm in. I joined Eskul Badminton at Cahaya Pelita High School. I'm going to school there. Trained as a Badminton athlete"

"What?! You are her passion in swimming! Your mom said you'd be a swimming athlete?!"

"That's it! But Papa said for now I'm at Badminton High School first. If I graduate well, I'll have to be a Badminton athlete. But if I don't pass the club, it means I'm going to be a swimming athlete. Being a swimming athlete doesn't have to be in swimming High School because I can get Mama's connection"

"I've got a schedule to train eskul swimming at swimming High School. I can see you 2 times a week. If you go to Badminton High School, how am I gonna see you?"

"Well, how else?"

"But Princess, didn't you forget your promise to be with me?"

"What promise?"

Ricky was confused. Did Lovely forget? She's been with Ricky since she was a kid. They are 6 years old. Ricky always comes to train him to swim at home. When Ricky graduated SMU and became a swimming athlete, Lovely just wanted to enter Junior High School.

Ricky said that. "Princess, I will rarely see you, I will definitely participate in many championships. But I'll see you if I'm free and get out of the dorm. You're graduating Junior High? We'll see you at swimming High School"

"Sister Ricky..." Lovely sad and teary.

"If you've graduated Junior High and you're 15, I'll come and make you my girlfriend, will you?"

But now, when Lovely is 15 and Ricky comes to collect a promise, Lovely forgets!

"Yes Brother Jo? Still looking for gifts? Ih...! Don't dawdle! The party is about to start! Half an hour 7! It's 6 o'clock! Watch out late! I won't love you anymore!"

Ricky was dumbstruck and looked at Lovely with a sick feeling! "Who's that calling you Princess?"

Ricky has waited 3 years to make Lovely his girlfriend! Even from Lovely SD, Ricky already loves Lovely which means he has loved and waited for Lovely for 9 years!

"Sister Ricky? Which promise did you ask?" Lovely asked again finished the phone call with Jo.

"Forget it...Doesn't matter!" hiss Ricky bitter. Lorn......
