Pp_34. Not Having a Chance

This afternoon Evelyn had a lunch appointment with Derry at one of the restaurants. Evelyn felt bad for what happened yesterday. He wanted to apologize to the man.

Ten minutes before lunchtime, Evelyn had already walked out of her room and was about to leave. It would be even more uncomfortable to make Derry wait too long.

Evelyn walked into the restaurant and circulated her gaze. Sure enough, Derry was already waiting for him at one of the tables with a coffee cup in front of him. But not only is there coffee in front of him, there are also many food menus that look tempting.

“Sorry, have you been waiting a long time?” Evelyn immediately sat down across from Derry. The man smiled warmly.

“I'm sorry for yesterday's incident. You came all the way to see me but I left you to go.” Evelyn said awkwardly.

“It's okay. Who is that guy? Bryan and Brily said he was your acquaintance.”

“You could say so. He's my coworker.” Evelyn involuntarily brushed off the hair she used to cover the kissmark on her neck. Derry's not a fool. So he'll know with a look.

Looking at that dark red kissmark his heart really hurt. For years he pursued Evelyn to no avail. And now, not even a month they haven't met, someone has made a kissmark on the neck of the woman he loves.

But Derry is not a man with a colossal mind. Especially if it comes from abroad. Such a free relationship is common. As long as both sides are willing there will be no problems. So he just assumed Evelyn was meeting her biological needs. That's normal. So he didn't get dizzy.

“I don't treat my women like animals. I'm just keeping him from being contaminated by viruses and bacteria that attack.” Reply Sean casually.

“Sean now put me down. Don't childish.” Seeing the look on Evelyn's face that looked angry, she was forced to lower Evelyn and sit her on the chair next to her.

Next time I will treat you. Lunch time is almost over. I'm back first.” Evelyn said soon. He also took his bag.

“Nothing next time. You can't sing it anymore.” Sean immediately cut before Derry spoke.

“I don't need your permission. Okay Derry I'm leaving first. Bye then. Drug.” Evelyn stood up and walked away from Derry. Sean followed Evelyn. Stick to the woman who keeps giving him resistance.

“I've always been by your side. But you never looked at me. You always refuse when I hold your hand. But the man who came out of nowhere easily did everything right in front of me.” Derry said to himself.

“Do I really have no chance?”
