Chapter_21. It's Takes Time

The car carrying Evelyn and her two children entered the courtyard of the mansion. From far away the condition of the mansion did not see much change. The spacious courtyard of the mansion still has many trees and also flowers that look more neatly arranged. This is because Laura now spends more time gardening and arranging the garden.

The more you go inside, the building of the mansion also nothing has changed. It remained the same as the one in Evelyn's memory even though in the past Evelyn had only briefly stayed in that luxurious mansion.

“Wah mommy! Home grandma better.” Bryan commented after seeing the condition of the mansion where they would live. Diamond did not comment, but he nodded in agreement to his brother's remarks.

“Yah indeed. If you go inside, you will like it more.” Evelyn said proudly.

Maxim and Laura welcome the three. The two parents hugged their grandchildren one by one. Their longing is now healed. They have not seen their favorite grandchildren for a long time.

Evelyn never wanted to visit them in Indonesia. They knew how Evelyn felt. The gloomy past that their adopted daughter had was bound to leave a trauma that was hard to forget.

As parents, Maxim and Laura of course want happiness for their daughter. They hope Evelyn can open her heart and open a new page of her life to make it more colorful.

Seeing the way Evelyn had lived all this time they felt pity. At a young age, Evelyn is too deeply immersed in her past. He was afraid to get out of the fear.

The two old men always paid attention to Evelyn during their stay together. Many men approached Evelyn. But according to Maxim and Laura, Evelyn did not match any of the men who approached their daughter in Texas.

Evelyn's attitude that tends to be cold but actually wants to be spoiled a little difficult to conquer. Their daughter's arrogant nature is indeed produced by dark past events that make Evelyn afraid to start a relationship.

When trouble broke out at the headquarters, they finally had a reason to bring Evelyn back. Running away from problems will solve nothing. If they wanted Evelyn to restart her life, it could only start after solving the existing problems first.

“Mami.” Evelyn immediately hugged Laura tightly.

“Welcome back my daughter.” Laura stroked Evelyn's back.

“Papi forgive Evy.” Evelyn hugged Maxim.

“You know the nature of Justin. How can you entrust our grandchildren to her.” Maxim was acting fiercely in front of Evelyn.

“Why are you so fierce? The new kid came home scolded. Who from earlier went back and forth like an iron waiting for his arrival. You want my daughter back again huh?” Laura's ruffled waist. Dominating Maxim who is now shrinking under Laura's Oath.

“Uh.. You guys have always bullied me.” Maxim put on his face.

“Grandfather don't scold our mommy anymore. Otherwise we will be angry and not want to talk again with grandfather.” Bryan pursed his lips. She wanted to protect her mommy.

“Don't listen to your old grandfather. Let's eat first. After that you should rest. You must be tired.” Laura led her daughter and granddaughter into the dining room. Leaving her lethargic husband also followed their steps.

After dinner, Evelyn brought her children into the room. The room that Laura had prepared since last night after they decided to bring Evelyn and her children back.

Bryan and Diamond got one room together. One large room with two different colored beds. One room is like being in a different place. The room was decorated in two parts. One side is arranged according to Bryan's liking and on the other hand is set according to Diamond's favorite.

The two children were also satisfied with their room arrangements.

After her two children went to bed, Evelyn went out of the room leaving both of them to rest. Who would have thought if the two children were just pretending to be asleep so they had time themselves.

“Brily mommy is out. Quickly install the eavesdropper.” Bryan opened his eyes and immediately locked the room door. Diamonds put a wiretap on the wall, Bryan said.

“Time to get our stuff out.” Bryan said with excitement.

From the folds of his pants, he pulled out the gun he had taken from the base and he hid it when the great chaos occurred. The gun with super mini size that he hid very well without anyone knowing. He even escaped inspection at the airport.

“I already thought you'd take that little toy.” Diamond said calmly.

“Of course. I fell in love at first sight.” Bryan's chuckle mimicked one of the dialogues from the drama series he had seen at a glance in the waiter's dugout in their old mansion.

“Wow Brily! It's great! With all this we will quickly find Daddy.” Diamonds nodded.

“True. Let's make a plan.”

And the two young boys set out to find the whereabouts of their Daddy that they were expecting also to live in Indonesia. They have no other clue than that. So they had to come up with a great plan to complete their mission.

Elsewhere, after Evelyn leaves her children's room, she goes to meet Maxim and Laura who are waiting for her in the living room. He felt that both of his foster parents had something to talk about.

“Sit here babe.” Laura pointed at the sofa not far from her and Maxim sat down after seeing her daughter coming. Evelyn sat quietly on the sofa that Laura pointed to.

“We miss you so much.” Laura started the conversation.

“I'm also mi.”

“Evy, we know you must be hard to come back here. But you have to do it sooner or later.”

“I know mi. Mami and papi must have been waiting for an opportunity like this.”

“Hahaha. My daughter is smart. You instantly understand what we mean.” Maxim laughed with satisfaction. He knew his daughter would not dispute it. “Then how?”

“Take it easy. Starting tomorrow I will go to the company soon.”

Hearing Evelyn's words, Laura and Maxim looked at each other. That's not what they mean. They want Evelyn to be able to restart her normal life like a woman in general. Shopping and socializing. Not to go to work.

“No darling. No need to be that fast either. At the company there is already a trustworthy Roberto. You can relax and shop for a few days. If not a few weeks, too. Even if you want to spend a few more months for sightseeing is also no problem.” Maxim said in panic.

“I don't need all that Pi. I'll go to the office tomorrow. Just tell Uncle Roberto if I'm coming.” Evelyn said without dispute. “I'm tired. I want to rest first.” Evelyn wakes up and leaves Maxim and Laura

Maxim wants to file his protest again. But Laura held him back. Laura knew that Evelyn actually understood what they wanted, but her daughter was just pretending not to understand who was switching the conversation.

“Leave it Pi. Evy needs time.” Laura stroked Maxim's arm.

“But when will it be like this? It's been too long alone.”

“Papi take it easy. Mami believes Evi is a smart girl. He should know what is good for him. It's just that he still needs time to adjust.” Maxim sighed resignedly. Seeing her daughter like that made her sad.

In her eyes, though, Evelyn seemed happy in her current life, but she knew in her heart there was a loneliness she often covered with her smile.
