S2_74. Johan Meet Maxim

Bryan and Justin arrived soon after receiving the news. Maxim and Laura who have been living on a private island finally come out after years of separating themselves from the outside world. Maxim walked with a stick in his hand to support him. His cold face looked gloomy. Beside him, Laura walked beside him fragilely.  Both of them had faces that were drowning in sadness.

As they entered the house, they were greeted by two lifeless bodies which they recognized were laid in coffins. Laura immediately ran over and hugged her daughter with a heartbreaking sobbing. Maxim glanced at the two inside out. But from his eyes there was clearly a deep sadness. Then his gaze trained on the two girls sitting quietly at the side. He walked slowly closer to both.

"All will be well." The diamond looked up as it felt the elusan in its head. The gaze of Shady Maxim looked into her steadfast eyes. Maxim turned his gaze to the young man beside Diamond. Johan came so receptive to the news. As a prospective husband Diamond, Johan of course must accompany his future wife in difficult times.

"Grandfather." Sylvia who also felt the elusan in her head. Sylvia is younger than Diamond. And he's hard to keep his emotions. So his face was filled with tears. Maxim smiled up at his favorite granddaughter.

"Don't cry anymore." Maxim reached out his hand and wiped away the tears at the corner of Sylvia's eyes.

After all had come, they did not buy time and immediately buried Sean and Evelyn. The atmosphere of haru coloring the funeral procession that runs solemn. Maxim nodded. "We talked in the study. You guys come with me." Maxim beckoned Johan, Justin and Bryan to follow him.

"I'll go there first." Johan stroked Diamond's head before he followed the men into the study.

"Madam Laura, the food is ready." The butler approached them. Laura did instruct the kitchen to cook as soon as they got home. After receiving the bad news, no one would be able to eat. But humans need to eat no matter what.

Laura looked at her two granddaughters who did not move in the slightest and sighed. "Let's eat." Laura stood up and grabbed her second hand.

"I'm not hungry grandma." Answer the Silken Diamond.

"I'm not a grandma either." Sylvia was also not tasteful. They are not hungry at the moment.

"You haven't eaten yet. Must be hungry." Laura stroked Sylvia's head.

"Daddy and mommy haven't eaten either." Laura stopped after hearing Sylvia's reply.

"Darling, daddy and mommy are quiet in heaven. They don't need food anymore. All they need is to see you happy. By living your life well. Daddy and mommy you will be sad to see you torture yourself like this. Do you want to make them sad?" Sylvia immediately shook her head. He immediately turned to Diamond who was still silent. Sylvia was spoiled from childhood. So she grows up to be an innocent girl and can be easily persuaded. Diamonds are different. He thought realistically and could not be persuaded in such a way.

"Dear, come on." Laura patted the Diamond on the shoulder. Look at him expectantly. Diamond looked over and saw Sylvia. He sighed and finally agreed and stood up. Seeing the Diamond agreeing, Sylvia also stood up and walked to the dining table with Laura and Diamond.

At work Charlos reported his findings. The truck that hit their car was finally found after exerting a lot of force. But the truck was found burned in a vacant lot located far from the scene to remove evidence. And after being traced finally the owner of the truck can be investigated.

The truck belonged to a factory that was stolen a few days ago and the thief has also not been found. So the investigation was deadlocked for a while.

"It seems like they've been planning this for a long time." Justin stroked his chin.

"really. They did it neatly." Bryan agreed.

"No matter what, there must be a gap. Search for it." Maxim instructed from the side. He's upset too.

"Check who was present at the banquet last night. The culprit must be one of them. A banquet like this was not recklessly one could get his information." Maxim looked at Charlos.

"Names with red lines are some of the suspected parties. They were some businessmen who had conflicts with Kingston Corp the past few years." Charlos has a few names. Everyone nodded in understanding. Only Johan thought. Johan had been by Sean's side for quite some time. So he knew a little bit what kind of people the red sign showed. In addition, he is currently also in the same business. And he knows them too.

"This name, this, this and this can be ignored. Even though they had motive, they wouldn't dare to do anything with their guts." Johan pointed to a few names.

With the power Sean had, even though many people had a grudge against him, not many would have the guts to go for revenge. Instead of retaliating, most of them would even go licking rather than replying. So after the four names were omitted, it narrowed down leaving only the names of the two people who were most likely.

Charlos thought for a while before finally realizing what Johan said was true. So he nodded his head and went back to thinking. The two people left behind did indeed have the most ability and courage than the others. And the extent of their disagreement was also the most obvious.

"Alright then I'll go investigate again." Charlos paused and walked out of the room.

"I'm coming along." Justin can't just wait. He must give justice to his beloved sister. So he went after Charlos.

"I'm coming too." Bryan followed.

Only Johan and Maxim are left in the room. The two had never met before. But Sean once mentioned Johan to Maxim. Sean tells her that he has found the right husband-to-be right for Diamond. But Maxim didn't believe it until he saw it for himself. In the past, he still had no chance of it.  So as they meet, Maxim takes advantage of the circumstances to watch Johan closely and assess him from the first time he sees him next to Diamond. So far the effect has been pretty good.

"I'm sorry I didn't go. I want to accompany Diamond." Johan. He fears that Maxim misunderstood him because he didn't go with Charlos and the others and thinks he doesn't care.

"It's okay. Brily needs you the most right now. You accompany him." Maxim nodded his head. He plays his fingers on the head level in his hand.

"The "foolish girl, even though she looked strong on the outside, was in fact very fragile. She looked like her mother who was very good at hiding her feelings. I'm glad he has you by his side." Maxim spoke seriously and looked at Johan sharply.

"Thank you for your trust." Johan said sincerely. His eyes look serious. Maxim is satisfied with his son-in-law's future great-grandson.

"No need to thank me. But I hope you guys formalize your relationship soon. I'm old, I'm not sure I can protect her for how long. I'll calm down if he's already in the protection of a trustworthy person."

"I understand. If Lian agrees, after the mourning period is over, I will marry her." Johan thought so too. Right now he had the ability and strength to keep the Diamond by his side. Moreover, with the arrival at this moment, their relationship must have been known by Alisya. So it would be safer to keep the Diamond next to him.

"good. As expected of Sean's son-in-law. It doesn't disappoint." Maxim stood up, put down the stick he had been holding and patted Johan on the shoulder.
