Episode 22 - LOOKING FOR HAPPINESS EACH

Back away from feeling

He's back! Yes, Miwon is back as usual. He greeted everyone without stopping smiling. He also invited me to talk. But this feels a bit awkward. It was obvious he was asking me to talk back. But not one bit he looked at me while chatting with me.

He also stopped teasing me, for example calling chagiya as he used to do. Not that I like that name. But I wonder why he is like that. Miwon stopped saying things that upset me. What's wrong with her? Has the problem that has been plaguing him not been resolved? Why am I so worried about him a little? A tad? Yeah, slightly.

I unceasingly stared at the right hand that had been held by Miwon. There was something that I didn't understand when Miwon grabbed my hand. But I don't know what it is. Before long Miwon came riding a motorcycle and gave me a helmet. I immediately got on the bike and held her backpack tightly.

 

I had a feeling that he was going to take me away to a faraway place. Yeah, is that maybe the place we've been to? Somewhere special to him? I thought so much that I can't remember where I went. I see left-right. The border again! Surabaya-gresik Border!

He really brought me here again. All of a sudden I was a little happy because he brought me here again. We can go around the city of Gresik like yesterday. I feel like Miwon is really good. He took me to a place I had never seen before and bought me good food.

Lately I have felt closer to him than any of my friends. I don't know why thinking about it, makes me a little happy. Well, you know, he's taking me to this lake again, right? Miwon stopped his bike on the side of the road. He didn't enter the parking lot. I'll get off the bike immediately. Miwon took off the helmet. I also took it off and handed the helmet over to him.

“Fik, there's something I have to say,” Miwon also got off his bike. He stood in front of me holding both of my shoulders. My eyes didn't blink at all. He looked at me for a long time. I think he'll express his feelings again. Even if it's true, maybe I should reject it or just be quiet to respond to it.

At least I should be prepared to give an answer from the bottom of my own heart. But what should I answer? Actually I like it. I don't hate him either. And I like it on what basis? Friendship or consider it leih from friends?

I immediately frowned.

I just kept quiet not responding to it. I don't have to answer what. All I know now is that Ed likes me too. But Miwon's statement that intends to retreat to like me, does not know why it makes me unhappy. What the hell happened to me?

I turned back and walked up to the guy who was still folding his hands on his chest. It seems like he is enjoying the view here.

“Afika,” Ed smiled at me. My eyes blinked a few times. I've been dreaming about this for a long time. The guy I've always liked is smiling at me. Can this be real?

Edelweis walked over to me. He started holding both my hands.

“I don't know when I feel something like this. Um, I'm not good at saying that. This is the first time. Hmm, i..,”

Edelweis looked a bit confused. I almost smiled to see the guy who was always the star of the class talking to himself. Does he really like me too? Edelweiss does not speak for himself anymore. His face looked serious at me. He held both my hands tightly. I'm watching him again.

“Why are you, Fik? How unhappy is that?” Timmy realized that Afika was suddenly glaring. He ate his last mouthful of fried rice. Afika shook her head weakly. “Then what about Miwon?” ask Timmy again. His friend's question made Afika rethink yesterday's events.

‘I'll stop liking you,’ those words make her breath a little tight. Like this morning, Afika felt awkward and almost breathless as Miwon sat on her stool. They're my countrymen. But there was not a word they said.

“Congratulations yes, Ed! Finally you guys are too!” timmy said as he rolled his eyes. “Afika has been waiting for you too long. Who would have thought he'd liked you for over a year!” Afika glared straight at Timmy. Timmy who saw the reaction of his friend laughed instead. Edelweiss smiled at him.

“Times anyway?” tanyakanya.

“Timmy!” afika's exclamation and increasingly glaring eyes made Timmy added a whimper. Edelweiss laughed. Then the guy rubbed Afika's hair slowly. The spontaneous treatment of Edelweis made Afika dag-dig-dug unfavourable.

“Fik, I eat first yes same kids. After school, I'll pick you up in class,” Afika just nods at what Edelweis said. After Edelweis met his three friends, Hami continued to smile towards Afika.

I walked into the toilet. My hand holds the sink firmly. My face turned towards the mirror. ‘What happened to me? Why am I so angry? Very angry?!’ my lament. Turn on the water tap. Immediately, I washed my face many times with tap water. Then I looked at myself in the mirror again. I saw a frown in the middle of my eyebrow. I tried to flatten it with my index finger.

“I can't do this. I must be strong! All your struggles for him are over. Miwon, awake! You can't just compete with your brother! Never will be!” I cried while staring at the glass. I take a slow breath. When I feel better, I walk out the toilet.

“Oppa,” I was a little surprised when I found Timmy leaning against the outside wall of the toilet. “Miwon really gave up?”

“What?” many confused. Timmy is seen holding a smile while covering his mouth with his hands. He walked over to me.

“I like you,” her words surprised me. “I want to make you forget it.”

“Sorry, Team. I appreciate your feelings. But sorry, I can't,” I walk right past.

“I completely understand your feelings,” my steps came to a halt. I turned. Apparently Timmy turned around too. “I don't mind if you still have feelings for her. I will try to make you happy. Oppa, I will fill your days full of happiness.” he said with a smile. Timmy doesn't see me as a burden. Timmy really appreciates how I feel. He knows that I still can't forget Afika. And he wants to make me happy too.
