Eps. 64

Before the dawn prayer Nisa had gone back and forth to the kitchen. Make sounds that are heard, because the house is still very quiet. Even Rani and Ijah have not woken up.

Zahra heard it, then went downstairs in shock to hear the sound of something breaking. Zahra quickly went down the stairs, and she saw her mother-in-law cleaning up the fragments on the floor.

"Mothers.. What else is mom doing? Why not ask Bi Rani and Bi Ijah for help?" zahra asked frantically, while helping her mother-in-law to clean up the shard shards on the floor

"Umi fever from last night, even to delirious.. I was panicking, so I did it myself.. Just now I was going to take a glass but instead nudged it and then it fell" Nisa explained

"Yes Allah.. Oma's sick, why don't you tell Zahra and Mas Arka.. Mother must be tired of being alone awake" said Zahra with worry

"Let's get Zahra cleaned up, Mom, just go to the room.. Later Zahra will follow to see Oma" continued Zahra

Nisa obeyed her daughter-in-law, she returned to the room with a glass of warm water for Umi who was waiting in the room.

Zahra cleaned up the broken glass, suddenly Rani and Ijah came over.

"What is your mom doing? Why not just ask us for help?" rani asked worriedly when she saw the broken glass had entered the pitcher

"It's okay Bi, this was Mom wanted to take water for Oma, the glass was nudged so broken" replied Zahra kindly

"Let Aunt continue, ma'am." said Ijah and took over the pengki and broom from Zahra's hands

"Thank you Bi.. Oh yes please make breakfast chicken porridge for Oma yaaa" said Zahra

"I'll look into the room first Oma's condition." continued Zahra as she walked out of the kitchen

Zahra walked to her mother-in-law's room which was now filled together with her Omanya.

Zahra knocked on the door that happened to be slightly open, then went inside. Seeing the exhausted Nisa sleeping with her sitting position and head propped up on the mattress.

Zahra held Omanya's forehead, to confirm her fever.

"Oh Allah, the fever is very high." said Zahra then compress Oma with compresses beside the bed table.

"l.. Umi misses once.." said Umi less clearly.

"Yes Allah Umi is delirious" said Zahra as she placed a wet towel on his forehead

Arka who realized Zahra was no longer beside her, then searched the toilet and changing room, but still there was nothing. Then Arka came down because Zahra always woke up first from him.

"Surely Zahra is in the kitchen, or she is already preparing in the mosque" Arka said in her heart.

Arka down the stairs, the condition of the house is still quiet, the lights are turned off making it dark.

"Where are people, aren't they awake yet?" ask Arka in her mind

Arka trying to look around just looks Ijah just entered the house exhausted from the backyard.

"Bi Ijah, are Mom, Oma and my wife in the mosque?" ask Arka to Ijah who brought the broom

"Nothing, Den. Madam is sick, Ms. Annisa and Ms. Zahra are in the room taking care of Madam." replied Ijah and left Arka

Arka gasped at Ijah's words, he immediately widened his steps towards his mother's room. He saw Zahra, his wife was compressing his oma, his mother who slept while sitting down.

"Honey.." said Arka Pelang, while touching Zahra's back

"Mas, Oma had a fever, and from that moment she was delirious." said Zahra when she realized her husband came in a low voice whispering

Arka immediately touched the neck of Omanya, and sure enough the fever is still high. Arka was very worried.

"John's... Wait for me" said Oma deliriously

Arka's getting anxious. It slightly shook Omanya's body intending to awaken.

"Oma, should we go see a doctor?" said Arka with a very anxious face

"No need, Arka.. Oma just needed to lie down and take medicine" replied Oma weakly, she began to wake up

Nisa who heard that woke up immediately, Nisa supported her son to bring her mother-in-law to the hospital. But still not want to.

The morning prayer has been reverberated, Nisa, Arka and Zahra pray the morning congregation. Oma is awaited by Rani and Ijah.

"This chicken porridge for the Madam is ripe." said Rani while thrusting a bowl on the tray

"Thank Bi.. Let it cool first.. Later after dawn prayers let Zahra who bribed him, Oma already wanted to take medicine immediately" replied Zahra lealu left Rani

Arka went back into the room with warm drinking water and fever-lowering medication.

Nisa tells Shaina everything, with great concern that Shaina is preparing to fly to Indonesia this afternoon with her husband.

Umi, who had just finished eating, only spent half the bowl was immediately given fever-lowering drugs by Arka, then helped to change clothes by Nisa and Zahra.

Oma praised the good food, and ate it voraciously.

Arka and Nisa who both saw it were so happy.

Arka and Nisa go straight out, having received news Shaina and Alif have arrived at her house.

Arka and Nisa welcome Shaina and Alif in the living room, then talk about Umi.

Suddenly Zahra came over, calling her husband.

"Mas.." said Zahra looking very panicked, while running a little

"What's the matter, baby?" asked Arka quickly responding to his wife

Shaina, Alif, Nisa and Zahra walked first to the room where Umi was.

"Assalamu'alaikum Umi." said Shaina and Alif simultaneously

"Enjoy.. Shaina is very worried." continued Shaina as she held the hand of her mother who was getting older

"Shaina do not be sad, Allah loves Umi very much." said Umi with a trembling voice

Shaina was unable to stem her tears, the clear liquid began to drip from the corners of her eyes.

"Shaina wants Umi to be healthy again, so Shaina will not grieve and cry" said Shaina then stroked the soft cheeks of her wrinkled mother

Umi only showed a smile on her face, suddenly her eyes closed. No more sounds he made. Shaina panicked, her heart pounding faster.

"Umi's.. Umi.." said Shaina slowly as if waking up his mother

But there was no response from the old lady who was lying weak. Shaina's tears broke, she was crying.

"Hubby.." cried Shaina as she turned to her husband

Alif tried to embrace Shaina, she approached her mother-in-law's body.

He tried to calm himself, Alif actually already knew that his mother-in-law was no longer breathing.

Before long the doctor came, all took a few steps back, allowing the doctor to check.

Tears Nisa, Zahra, Arka also broke when the doctor had told them that their loved one was no longer alive.

Shaina could no longer sustain herself, she limped and rendered her unconscious.

Umi's funeral was carried out today also before magrib arrived. Umi was buried next to his son's grave.

Nisa and Arka must strengthen their hearts to accept everything. One by one the people they love must leave them forever.

"A day full of sorrow" Arka said in her tears
