A week has passed since the slap I had on Doctor Araf.
That handsome man, he really kept his promise. He never saw my daughter again, even if we crossed paths he pretended to look the other way just to avoid me.
"Ummi, can Fazila be friends with the doctor's uncle? He's a good man." Whine Fazila for the umpteenth time, this time he whined while pulling my gown.
"Don't bother Ummi, honey. Ummi is busy." Reply to me while sewing Nyai Latifah's clothes.
Fazila was seen flicking her lips while walking away from me.
To be honest I felt sorry for my daughter, I really did not understand why the boy loved doctor Araf so much when they were friends for no more than three months, the short time that Araf's doctor spent turned out to be very memorable in Fazila's heart.
"You can be friends with him." I said slowly while looking at Fazila's back.
"Asahhhhhhhhh... Aren't we?" Fazila returned to me while dragging her legs full of struggle. Understandably, since the incident with Ms. Yati, my sweet daughter has not been able to walk normally. Doctor Araf told Fazila's legs would return to normal after a month.
"Slowly, son. You can't run!"
Fazila looked misbehaved, he scratched his head that was not itchy. Getting permission from me to be friends with doctor Araf makes the sweet boy so happy that he forgets that his legs have not fully healed.
"Ummi really ngizinin Fazila is friends with the doctor's uncle?" Fazila asked again, her countenance reflecting happiness.
There was no answer from me, just a small nod while showing off a faint smile to reassure my daughter.
"Fazila longs to see doctor's uncle!" Fazila's whipped again like a spoiled big baby.
"What would you do if you met him? It's noon, baby. Uncle doctor must be busy at the clinic." Reply while stopping my work.
Fazila ducked, her eyes looking watery.
"alright. You can go to her place, but...." I said with a hanging sentence, I cupped my daughter's face with both hands.
"But, what?" Fazila asked impatiently.
"But... This beautiful Princess Ummi must not play for too long, you must go home before the noble."
"Ready. Execute." Reply Fazila while paying respect. Seeing her adorable behavior make me laugh, I myself forgot when was the last time I laughed.
A kiss landed on my left and right cheeks, a minute later Fazila was nowhere to be seen by my netra, as if my daughter really missed Doctor Araf. And it scares me, I'm afraid the sweet boy is grinning at Doctor Araf.

"Sir, I know you miss little lady so much! Why didn't you just visit her house? I'm sure Miss Fatimah won't be upset, and I'm more sure little lady will miss you very much." Bodyguard Araf tried to convince.
There was not a word that came from Araf's lips other than a long sigh. Imagining the annoyed face of the woman who had slapped him made his guts shrink. For the first time in thirty years he felt a slap, it was from a woman he greatly admired.
"I want to do that. But unfortunately I can't. If Miss Fatimah finds out I'm meeting her daughter in secret, then I'm done." Reply Araf with a heavy heart.
During this week Araf prefers to spend time in the clinic, finished work he will shut himself in the room, no jokes and laughter that there is only boredom.
"Uncle doctor. Ooo... Uncle doctor."
Araf was preparing to enter his room, but the sound of a call from outside the house made him fall.
"Uncle doctor. Ooo... Uncle doctor." The sound of a call reverberated from the direction of the front door.
"Master, isn't that the voice of little lady?"
"Yes, you're right!" Araf's reply confirmed his bodyguard's speech.
Araf ran towards the door, what a great surprise. The little angel he so longed for was standing at his door.
"You're here? Do you know I miss you so much?" Araf asked while tightly hugging Fazila's petite body.
"Why can't it? Would anyone be upset if I hugged my daughter?"
"Of course, there is. Ummi..." Unfinished Fazila with his words Araf hurriedly let go of his embrace.
"Is the doctor's uncle afraid of Ummi? Ummi is not evil! Once the doctor's uncle gets to know Ummi at close range, the doctor's uncle will never let go. Ummi is kind, friendly, beautiful, and dear to everyone." Fazila said with a faint smile.
Ohhh God. What's wrong with my heart? I'm nervous because! I smiled to myself like a lost man. A woman I liked didn't talk to or meet me for a week, I felt like my world was collapsing completely. Is it true what Alan said, if I'm an already converted playboy? Ahh, I don't know. Araf muttered in his heart without taking his eyes off Fazila.

Time went by so fast, without Araf realizing it was time to drive Fazila home, and it made Araf's chest pound faster.
What if he's mad at me? What should I do to calm him down? Really, she's not like the woman I dated last night, and then I decided without caring about her tears. Araf rubbed his chest was-was. His fear of meeting a woman who made his chest pound even tighter made him goosebumps.
"Uncle the doctor, Fazila has to go home! Fazila promised ummi that Fazila would be home soon." Fazila's words awakened Araf who was still dissolved in his long thoughts.

I was sitting on the porch reading the Quran. My reading came to a halt when a white car pulled up right in front of the black iron gate, the humble house I had lived in eight years ago.
My eyes glared at the door of the car that was starting to open wide, wondering who was going to come out of it.
As usual, as soon as I saw Fazila immediately smiled widely. His face was radiant, meaning he was very happy to spend his free time with the doctor Araf he visited at the clinic.
My smile clenched on my lips as soon as I saw Doctor Araf walking beside Fazila. Just like me, doctor Araf also looked awkward, I took a deep breath then slowly exhaled it rough, hoping my heart was calm.
"Assalamu'alaikum's chat..." Fazila and Araf's doctor said together.
"Wa'alaikum..." Reply with a thin smile.
"Nnnl..." Sapa Fazila while kissing the back of my right hand.
"Darling, ummi wants to talk to the doctor's uncle. Come in and play with Tipo!" I said softly while stroking Fazila's cheek.
My daughter nodded then went inside the house with a limp step. Hearing Tipo's meowing voice made him even more excited.
"Please sit! I'll make you a cold drink, hope you don't get bored." My words tried to greet Doctor Araf who was still pecking near the flower pot, not too far from where I was standing.
"Miss Fatimah doesn't have to bother." Doctor Araf said as he looked at my face with a gaze I could hardly describe.
Now he walked slowly to the chair. Then sit there without saying a word.
"Miss Fatimah doesn't have to offer anything to me! Actually I'm still too scared to meet you, I'm afraid to see your anger. I'm sorry for everything." Said Araf while ducking.
"I'm sorry I slapped Doctor Araf. I know, I shouldn't have done that. Hearing Bu Yati say nonsense made my anger overflow. Again I'm sorry." I said with regret.
This time I felt really bad. I couldn't even look at the perfect man in front of me, I was too embarrassed for that.
"Miss Fatimah doesn't need to apologize! The wrong thing is me. I shouldn't have to tell my daughter Fazila, so she won't get a chance to insult Miss Fatimah." Doctor Araf said again. He looks frustrated.
I smiled as I looked at Doctor Araf's handsome face
"Alright, that's enough for his apology. From today we're at peace." I said excitedly.
"Peace? Are we friends now?"
There was not a word that came out of my mouth other than a small nod hinting at the word 'He'. Deep down, I felt something different. Doctor Araf was very kind to Fazila, and Fazila was very fond of him, maybe that's why I started to open up, open up to new people who love my daughter.
The past will only be the past, time will go on and I don't want to be silent in the worst times of my life. If light greets my life then why am I still embracing the darkness. From now on I am determined to be happy always. Happy with my perfect daughter, Fazila.
