18. Improvisation Due to Enemy

"Five men handle the archer, the rest surround this boy!"

Five bandits lunged simultaneously forward, Ryzen tried to slash them but his attack was stopped by a burly bandit and carrying an axe.

"Moon, careful!"

Hearing his comrade's cry, Moon noticed the presence of five bandits approaching him. He leapt back, trying to find a place to hide and attacked them secretly.

"Don't distract yourself from the fight, boy!" the burly bandit.

The bandit pushed his axe and made Ryzen retreat a few meters. Ryzen clucked in annoyance, having to fight dozens of bandits and one big bandit simultaneously, while he was also worried about his partner, Moon. Even though it was level 26, but for an archer to fight in this narrow and sealed place was extremely disadvantageous.

The bandits who were gnawing at Ryzen had not moved, they were silent, keeping their opponent from escaping the encirclement. Then as the big bandits shouted out loud, all the bandits simultaneously thrust their weapons towards Ryzen who was standing in the middle. Ryzen leaped quite high and stood on top of their weapons that were gathered there.

"YOUTHERNAYYA!!"

The big bandit swung his ax horizontally, as he was taller than the others, so the height of his attack was parallel to Ryzen's stomach. The bandits teamed up, as Ryzen lowered his head, they held up their weapons so that the swing of the axe still hit him. With a reflex, Ryzen restrained the attack with his spear stalk, once the axe eyes and the spear stalk met, it gave rise to a loud impact sound.

Klang's!

The swing from the big bandits was powerful and powerful, Ryzen was unable to resist the attack and ended up bouncing into another corner of the room, crashing into the wall and destroying it.

Bruk!

"Strike him!" exclaimed the big bandit while pointing towards Ryzen bouncing.

Ryzen lost 30% of his total HP, and the durability of his weapon was only 43 points out of 100 points. As Ryzen was just getting up, some sharp weapons were being swung at him from above, Ryzen rolled to the side and slashed at the feet of the bandits closest to him.

"FIRE SLASH! UURRAA!!"

A large axe came from the front, it was enveloped by fire.

"Woa—?!"

Ryzen leapt back, behind a stack of boxes of beer belonging to the bandits. After the fiery axe hit the ground for failing to hit Ryzen, the ground was destroyed and the fire gushed upwards and disappeared.

It is an elemental skill, 'Fire Slash', making fire envelop your weapon, when the attack hits an object or enemy, the fire will enlarge and give the enemy a 'burn' wound or it may burn it directly. To use the skill, one—player as well as NPC— must master at least the initial stage of the fire element. The more master the elements and attacks, then coupled with high status and equipment that has 'Element Affinity' enchance, the damage given by elemental attacks will be higher.

"Fuuhuu, fire element, you can burn this whole place, you know?" Ryzen.

The big bandits clucked in annoyance, ordering the other bandits to attack again. Ryzen immediately kicked the stack of boxes filled with beer in front of him.

"No, not the beer!! Hold that beer!" the big bandit's orders.

"So that beer is worth more than your partner's life, yeah...."

A slash! Swing! A slash!

While some bandits held back the beer pile so as not to fall and break, Ryzen slashed at them all the tigers who were holding the box or who kept attacking him—with four diagonal incisions and ended with a forward stab that released a wave of force.

"Thrust Force!"

It was the first skill he had after becoming a Spearsman. At the expense of 30 MP, he can create a surge of power that thickens the enemy while he performs a puncture attack, giving the effect of 'knockback' and two-second stun on the enemy.

"This boy has mastered the wave technique!"

It was ironic, when that bandit who was an NPC or mob in the world said that. For the original inhabitants of that world, it does require hard work to master a technique or skill, while the players only need to open the requirements of the skill or technique to be able to use it, moreover, players can increase their skill level only by constantly using the skill at the expense of only MP and a command to activate the skill. Unlike the NPCs and the original inhabitants of the world, who had to polish the skill and perfection of their attack moves, training for a long time just for the sake of a little bit of strength from the many other great powers.

"But, what if you master the wave technique if the movements you make remain the same every time you deflect your waves! URRRAAAA!!!"

The big bandit raised his axe up and then spun it 3 times and quickly swung it vertically down and again clashed with Ryzen's spear stalk.

"that's stupid! If I were you, I'd rather avoid this attack!" shouted the big bandit.

"Ugh!!"

Duuaarr!!

Ryzen was unable to withstand the attack and lost in strength, so the bandits managed to knock down Ryzen's defenses. The ground around Ryzen was destroyed and the walls and roof of the cave shook violently, as if they were being shaken by an earthquake. Smoke of dust billowed around them, and as the smoke faded, Ryzen was lying on the ground helpless.

His HP dropped drastically and left only 2% of his total HP, and his stamina was also depleted due to losing the power struggle earlier, he did not move, he did not move, his body was covered in wounds that looked like a disability on the program.

"Ugh...." Ryzen groaned slowly.

"Hmm, what a pity, if only you could master your technique a little, maybe you could defeat me. Just get here, boy."

The bandit raised his axe up. As Ryzen closed his eyes, waiting for his defeat, he suddenly heard a voice.

"{You level up!}"

"?!!"

The big bandit was quite surprised to see his opponent suddenly being able to move back as if the wound had never existed, but he was able to withstand the puncture of the waves from Ryzen knowing the pattern. Ryzen was not surprised, he also knew that his attack would not work, so he immediately pulled his spear back and then turned 360 degrees or a full rotation while slowly lowering his body, and as he was about to return to his original perspective position but with a slightly lower body position, he launched an attack at the foot of the bandit.

"Thrust Force!"

This time his attack pattern was different, Ryzen did not aim his stab at the top of the bandit but rather he targeted his leg.

"What?!"

A surge of strength that came out from the stab of his spear left his leg bones shaken and the bandit lost its balance.

Bruk!

The bandit's face became panicked, he looked up, a spear eye was right in his sight.

"Tu-tungg—"

"Thrust Force!!"

Jro!

With a stab stuck in his head, the bandit was eventually defeated by Ryzen and disappeared into polygon fragments. You may ask, why Ryzen can defeat all his opponents at least with a few strikes that hit his enemy. If yes, then the answer is in the spear and the type of enemy, the enemy player in FSO is not only a monster type, there are also types of humans, undead, plants, and others.

The spear used by Ryzen was a lance given from Laiten, with a strengthening status of +3 which made his spear attack stronger.

Speaking of the type of enemy, they also have their own weaknesses. There are enemies that can only be defeated by magic or physics. There are enemies who are not capable of sharp weapons, and must use blunt weapons. Then, there are also enemies who have fatal weaknesses—with certain attacks, making the enemy die in one attack— such as human type, by attacking his vital point, by attacking his vital point, then it will make a fatal hit that allows to kill the enemy in one attack.

Ryzen stabbed the bandit's head right at his temple and penetrated so deeply that he managed to perform a fatal hit and kill in one strike. But, it was also because he used the skill to do so, if he were to wear an ordinary puncture, he might fail to kill the bandits in one strike.

Ryzen let out a long sigh, then remembered that he was here together with Moon. He looked inside the party panel, and found out that his partner was still alive with the HP bar still full.

"God...."

He closed the panel, then as he looked ahead, the four women who were the toys of the bandits were looking at him while they covered their bodies with a thin cloth.

"???"

"Thank you very much!!"

They spoke in unison while bowing their heads.

"A, uh? l-yes?"

They stood up, then several times bowed to Ryzen, one of them approaching.

"Adventurer gentlemen, thank you so much for saving us. I don't know what to reply with, but if you're willing, s-I'm willing to offer my body.." said the woman timidly cat.

"Eh, no, no! thats okay! I'm just here looking for a little boy...?"

They seem disappointed when Ryzen rejects them, then with a heavy heart they tell them about the little boy he is looking for.

"I don't know if the person was a child or not, before my consciousness completely disappeared, I had time to hear the voice of a child...."

And furthermore, after they told him, they finally parted and left that place. Ryzen looked towards them leaving, then thought, "I don't know why, but, shouldn't they feel traumatized and depressed about being played like that? well, it's lucky it's just a game."

Then, a footsteps rang out from behind Ryzen.

"You're having enough fun, yeah...."

Ryzen turned around and saw Moon in good health unharmed.

"What do you mean have fun, I almost lost. Thanks to you for defeating the other five cars, I leveled up and managed to avoid my death" Ryzen said.

"mmmmmmm. So, did you find the little boy?" ask Moon.

"No, not yet. I think he's deep inside this place, chances are we'll meet something worse than before."

Moon fell silent at the words, then relaxed his body, "Fyuu, okay."

"Let's continue," Moon asked, he walked into the other side of the place after opening the door guarded by the bandits.

The view behind the door, was very different from the place he was stepping on now.

"Whoah...."
