Part 43's

Jessica did not accept Darwin at her home that afternoon. After he expressed all his disappointment he threw his sister away. With a heavy heart he did all that to teach Darwin a lesson in order to hold him accountable for his actions.

Darwin returned to his new home. He's staying there. For the first time, he spends his nights without Asmira beside him.

That night was long. Darwin could not close his eyes in the slightest. The night wind was cold to the bone. Darwin accidentally opened the window of his room, he let the bad night weather hit his body that was like numb.

“What if I don't find Asmira? What if he goes forever from my life?”

Darwin is hysterical when he remembers it all, he can't imagine what if Martha found out, her daughter-in-law and granddaughter left. All those thoughts gathered into one in his brain which frustrated him.

Pratiwi frowned as he watched the door of his boss room open. He approached, he peeked behind the door. Darwin is back from his vacation. Pratiwi wants to go back to his room but Darwin calls him.

“Come in!”

“You're back, sir,” said Tiwi felt awkward about being caught peeping.

“Please trace the whereabouts of Asmira last time.”

“What, Sir?” pratiwi asked in surprise, he did not expect that all the events would make his boss' wife choose to leave.

Pratiwi gulped his saliva, he could not imagine what if it happened to him.

But Darwin did not want to repeat his words. He was silent, his eyes empty. Then he switched the conversation, he asked how the office was as long as he left 3 days ago.

“I'm sorry, Sir. I have 2 days off because my son is sick,” Tiwi said later.

“Sick, what pain? Not usually you have a holiday, of course your son is seriously ill?” darwin asked, he knew how Pratiwi was doing.

“Food poisoning. Evano was also one of the victims of the accident, sir. You don't know?” ask Tiwi.

“What!?” Darwin was surprised to hear the words of Pratiwi.

Pratiwi picked up the newspaper 2 days ago, he gave it to his boss. Darwin let out a heavy sigh after learning of the incident a few days ago. Darwin took his breath, he looked up at the ceiling of his study. Slowly tears flowed down her cheeks. Pratiwi held his breath, for the first time he saw such a fragile boss.

“Find Asmira, Tiwi,” Darwin, he can no longer hold back his tears, even in front of Pratiwi once.

Pratiwi told Darwin about the incident that day in the hospital, apologizing for his carelessness in speaking. If he hadn't asked Asmira anything, it might not have happened.

“You said you want to take a vacation, I thought you would be on vacation with Ms. Asmira, Sir. I'm sorry for being too involved. If you want to fire me, please, Mr.”

Darwin fell silent, everything had happened, all his own fault, who should be responsible for all those mistakes was himself. He shouldn't have involved anyone.

“I am sorry to have gone on holiday with Yunita, Tiwi,” Darwin said.

“Why did you choose to go with our enemies on the appeal of your own family, Sir?” tanya Tiwi did not think. He had never seen Darwin take a wrong step, but this time he admitted, for the first time he was disappointed by the attitude of his superiors. “What is your goal just to know about Haris?” ask Tiwi. But Darwin shook his head. “Do you not feel suspicious of Yunita and Ferry sir, Sir?” ask Tiwi again.

“If he is good, he will not disturb your household, Sir,” Tiwi said.

“Not him wrong Tiwi, but I. Here I should be blamed,” defend Darwin again. Pratiwi shook his head in disbelief, Darwin had actually been brainwashed by Yunita.

Darwin drove fast in his office car, he headed to Asmira's hometown, he went to Rose's house, he could not stand by waiting for information from Pratiwi, he had to find his son and wife. Several times he almost nudged a motorcyclist, he took the car very incautiously.

A few hours later, he arrived at Rose's house. He set his pace to get in. No matter what happens, he is ready for all the risks.

“Excuse me! Rose!” darwin shouted while pressing the bell many times.

“Win, please come in,” pinta Rose after opening the door, she turned her gaze looking for the whereabouts of Asmira.

“You alone, Asmira where?” ask Rose.

Deg. Darwin's heart is racing. “Asmira is not here, Rose?” darwin asked, his breathing heavy. Asmira didn't even go there, her own sister's house, then where she really was. Inner Darwin.

“No, I even miss her so much,” Rose said. He narrowed his eyes then he said, “Don't tell me he's gone from home!”

Darwin fell silent, nodding his head in response to Rose's words. Rose hit Darwin's shoulder hard.

“You are my sister! You find him bye, or I'll never forgive you!" Rose slammed the door of her house hard.

“Go you!” rose shouted from within.

Darwin is glued to Rose's house, he returns to his car, Rose's treatment is not much different from her brother, Jessica. Even he did not have time to explain anything to Rose, Asmira's brother was already angry with him.

Until nightfall. Darwin was still in his office. That night he decided to stay in the office. He came home with no children and his wife at home. His mind grew chaotic as Pratiwi contacted him saying he had found no trace of Asmira. The last time he only saw Asmira in the hospital, after which no one knew where Asmira was going.

“Can't be Tiwi, ask everyone in town A. Give them money when necessary!”

“Sorry, Sir. This is not about money,” said Pratiwi firmly behind the phone.

Darwin disconnects the side call, he slams his cell phone hard to the floor, he grabs his hair violently.

“Aaargghhh!!!” darwin shouted loudly.

He threw his body on the sofa in his room. If he could turn back time, really he would not go with Yunita, he chose to accompany his wife to check the womb and he would be there when Evano in the disaster. But unfortunately, the rice has become porridge, regret only remains regret, all is useless anymore.

“I beg you, come back baby,” watered Darwin. He rubbed a wedding photo of himself and Asmira located at his work desk he hugged and kissed the frame.
