The Part 13
Darwin returned to the office after a meeting with Yunita. Pratiwi immediately met Darwin, there was a curiosity why his boss forbade him to join the meeting with Yunita.
Darwin handed the file to Pratiwi and told him to wait if there was any current information about the project.
“Oya, any information about Lestari?”
“There, Sir. I almost forgot.”
“Tell!”
“This footage of your neighbor's house Cctv, Sir.” Pratiwi gives a flash.
At about 08:00 Jessica and Valen came to Asmira's house with panicked faces. 5 minutes later they came out carrying Asmira as if in a fainting state riding in a car, then they left.
Darwin stared at his laptop screen without blinking, the clock of the incident was a few minutes after his departure to meet Yunita on Sunday.
That day he remembered, when he woke up he did not meet his wife in his room he thought Asmira was cooking in the kitchen. Darwin scooped his face with both hands while recalling his own foolish behavior.
“I'm guilty, Tiwi. I was wrong,” Darwin.
“You rest easy, Sir. The good news, madam Asmira is at the hostess Jessica.” Pratiwi smiled to see that Darwin was really hit.
How come? But Jessica was shocked yesterday when she heard that Asmira was missing. Darwin rushes away, he grabs the keys to his car and leaves for Jessica's house. Hopefully, the wife is really there.
At Jessica's house.
Today Asmira was light, her face was radiant again, not pale anymore. He accompanies Jessica to cook while Elijah and Evano are engrossed in playing, Vano has just returned home from school to be picked up by Jessica.
Darwin got there. Without permission, he went straight to his sister's house. Darwin's heart was beating fast, he wished Asmira was really there. Once he saw Evano and Elijah were playing he smiled happily.
“Thank God you are here,” murmured Darwin.
He immediately searched for the existence of Asmira without disturbing Vano who was engrossed in playing. Darwin was really relieved when he saw his wife was fine there. He approached her, then hugged her tightly.
“Darling, why did you go without saying anything?” tanya Darwin kissed Asmira's head in droves.
Jessica was shocked, Darwin found out so quickly. He wanted to teach his sister a few more days. He stopped his cooking, he crossed both hands on his chest.
“Go not to say? Yes, you feel confused looking for the whereabouts of Asmira? Right?”
Jessica's question was enough to make Darwin feel slapped hard enough. Darwin was silent, he admitted wrong. He's been hypnotized the last two weeks, he's somehow been sent to Yunita's lab.
“I'm sorry darling, I'm really sorry.” Darwin clasped Asmira's hand tightly.
Asmira brushed Darwin's hand slowly, got up from her seat and walked away from there. When Darwin wanted to pursue Asmira, Jessica called him.
“Where are you going?” ask Jessica.
“Mbak, I know I'm wrong, but I want to talk to him.” Darwin immediately stepped up, but only a few steps back Jessica called him.
“Marcell Darwin!”
Darwin stopped his steps and approached Jessica.
“You better go, Lestarimu is dropping, he can't be disturbed, if you want him to be okay you should follow the words, Ma'am.”
“But, Mbak.”
“What need Mbak repeat again?” jessica asked her lips.
Darwin was out of his mind, he wanted to apologize to his wife. But true Jessica said, if something happens to Asmira he will regret it.
“Later tonight I will come again, Ma'am take good care of him,” said Darwin finally.
“At least, Mbak can be better than you!”
Glug. The words were quite sharp, in Darwin's heart. Darwin stepped away from the presence of his brother who was in a rage.
“Honey,” call Darwin.
“Papi ..” Evano hugged his father.
“Jagai Mami, yes?” darwin Pinta. Evano nodded many times.
Then he leaves, Evano waves his hand when Darwin disappears with his car. Evano ran to find Jessica.
“Jeje ..”
“Ya, darling. What's up?” Jessica squatted down when Evano touched her knee.
“Bapi why come here? Why don't you take your mom home?”
“You don't feel at home in Jeje's house? Play with Elijah?”
“Not ...” says Evano slowly.
“Yes already, now you play again. Later tonight papi comes again, yes?”
Evano nodded as he returned to play with Elijah.
Jessica met Asmira in the room, Jessica knocked on the door several times before entering. Then came the voice of Asmira telling her to come in.
“Mira,” call Jessica rubbing Asmira's head.
Asmira raised her head, tears soaked her cheeks. Jessica wiped those tears with her black mother.
“Crying. overflow everything.” Jessica hugged Asmira's tiny body.
“I just want everything to be okay, Ma'am.”
Jessica knew exactly what Asmira was going through. Even Darwin did not know that Asmira was pregnant. Asmira's mood is up and down, she's very easily sensitive to something.
After tired of crying Asmira fell asleep, Jessica covered him and then he returned to the kitchen to continue his work that had been delayed.
An hour later Darwin arrived at the office, Pratiwi saw the state of his boss is still in a state of disarray. Pratiwi did not dare to approach even just asking for an autograph.
“Arghhh!” yell Darwin.
His mind was dead-end, he could not do any activity. He looked at the ceiling of his room. What is all this for if not for me to enjoy with my wife and children. Think Darwin.
Darwin glanced at the calendar on his desk, 10 days away from his seventh wedding anniversary. But everything is runyam.
Suddenly Pratiwi knocked on the door. Darwin told him to come in.
“Sorry, sir interfered.”
Pratiwi gave a reply file sent by email from Yunita. Darwin smiled, his chaotic mind slightly abating.
“Good, send terms and conditions of work. Make it as complicated as possible, set a schedule that makes it even more upset.”
“Good, Sir.”
Elsewhere, Yunita breathed in a rude sigh while reading an email sent by Darwin's assistant. He reached for his cell phone to contact someone where he was venting all his emotions.
“You don't try to cheat me, yes?”
“What do you mean?” ask someone behind the phone.
“Clients we want to trap are not random people, I can not dwell anymore.” Yunitas
“Find more telling way dong! We lost first with nothing.”
“You mean, what?” ask Yunita again.
“Arrange the meeting let us talk four points.”
Yunita ended the call. He was still wondering, what surefire way he should use to make Darwin's company fall.
