Vino who gets a day off decides to meet Nico. He went to Nico's college and looked for her. After walking a bit, he found Nico walking also towards the gate of the University with a box of supplies.
Vino thought that Melisa might not care about her sister and made her sister to bring food from home instead of eating in the University cafeteria.
Walking towards Nico, Vino made a slightly pityed and concerned face, "Nico, you're here. I want to talk to you."
Staring at her older sister whom she had not seen for a long time and the lunch box for Melisa. Nico hesitated a bit, as he was not very related to this brother. Also the food will be cold if not delivered quickly.
Seeing the entanglement of the younger brother in front of him, Vino said, "It won't be long."
Hearing that Nico nodded in agreement. They went to a cafe close to the university and sat in a fairly quiet place.
Putting the lunch box beside him, Nico said, "So what do you want to say."
"Come, don't rush, eat and drink first. I've ordered something you like." Vino handed the drink and cake to Nico's front.
"No need, I want to go quickly." Nico clenched his hands under the table. He was a little suspicious as to why this brother was paying attention to him. The once-cold and indifferent Vino.
"Okay, you seem to be busy with everything else." Vino was distressed and continued with a smile, "I'm sorry that mom and dad couldn't stop you from leaving."
Staring suspiciously, Nico said, "So what do you mean."
"Aren't you reluctant to stay with Miss Melisa, I'll try to help you get away from her." Vino felt that since Nico was his sister, he should have saved her.
"There's no need for that, I'm not having any trouble or anything." Nico immediately rejected Vino's proposal.
"Why? Are you still angry with us. Don't torture yourself to be next to that woman just because you're mad at us." Vino stared uneasily at his sister.
Smiling angrily Nico felt Vino saying contemptuously to Melisa, "I don't need your worries. I'm okay with all this."
"Nico, don't say that. I want to help you right now." Vino was a little sad and upset at the repeated rejection.
"Why do you feel like the best person in the world. Did you come because you just realized that I am also your sister. What all your cold faces when I saw me used to be gone," Nico sneered with a hint of heartache saying, "You never even smiled at me or treated me to your sister."
Vino who was listening to all that felt his head buzzing. What Nico said was true, but he kept denying it in his head and said, "But I'll at least help you now, so just go home."
Listening to Vino's self-righteousness, Nico said, "I don't need it. I'm fine right now and I like Melisa. I've also grown up to choose where I want to be."
Nico stood up and carried his box of supplies away from the cafe. Leaving the stunned Vino, Nico felt that if given the choice was he who was still expecting something from the Helingga family, he would agree to Vino's kindness quickly with a smile.
But he who now feels that his former self is too naive and does not know what kindness is so that he feels that the treatment of the Helingga family can be taken for granted.
Although it can not eliminate his anxiety, but it is a little effective to calm him. The bustling sound that entered his ears made him feel that it was a tranquilizing song for him.
When she reached Melisa's company, the front desk that knew her let her in. Nico smiled slightly and climbed up towards Melisa's room.
Seeing the busy Melisa even at lunch, Nico calmed herself down and sat down familiarly on the sofa. Arranging food and waiting for Melisa to finish the job.
After finishing the arrangement, Nico felt that her anxiety would be noticeable so she went to make a warm tea for herself.
But due to daydreaming he did not even realize that his hand was splashed with hot water. Surprised, Nico pulled his hand and turned off the water dispenser. Sighing, he felt that Vino's arrival had affected him a lot.
No longer thinking of making tea, Nico went to the room back and saw Melisa finished with work and walked towards the sofa. Reflexes, Nico hides her hand that looks burnt due to hot water.
"What are you hiding?"Melisa looked at Nico in wonder, because she saw a little panic in Nico's eyes.
"Nothing." Nico shook his head lightly.
Melisa looked suspiciously at Nico and said, "Come, just show me. Or we won't finish this meal soon."
Melisa could see the entanglement in Nico's eyes. Looks like he had something bad before coming here. Judging from her not bringing the tea she wanted to make just a moment ago, it seemed like Melisa could guess why Nico was hiding her hand.
Nico also saw that Melisa had guessed what happened reaching out her hand and said, "It's okay, It's just red and will heal in a moment."
Sighing, Melisa did not answer him and brought the medicine box. Looking for an ointment for burns, he looked at Nico who was still standing and gestured for Nico to sit down.
Nico just followed and let Melisa apply the ointment on her hand.
"Don't underestimate the wound next time, or you don't even know if it's rotting." Melisa said while also remembering Nico was like that. He did not even know the wound in his heart because of Helingga's treatment of him and ignored the wound. Which ultimately makes him a man who cannot trust the world itself.
"Yes, I know." Nico smiled gently.
"All right, it's done. We can eat soon." Melisa immediately packed up and returned the medicine box to its original place.
But Melisa did not say and ask about her dissatisfaction. Nico who will tell himself what happened if he wants it. Otherwise Melisa also has no problem with it as long as Nico is fine.
Nico himself also knew that Melisa would not ask if she did not tell him herself. Nico also did not want to hide his problem from Melisa.
So when they ate slowly, Nico told me about what happened to him before he got here. Melisa listened quietly and replied as Nico asked.
