Melisa recalls a story she put into her novel about Nico. What people don't know is that Nico really likes the piano. When in the orphanage, there was a grandfather who always went to the orphanage to play with the children. Because Nico was a child who was aloof and distant from other children, so the grandfather approached him.

Sitting under a shady tree, the grandfather approached little Nico and asked, "Why don't you play with the others?"

Hearing him Nico's eyes sparkled. "Can Grandpa teach me, I've always wanted to learn music."

So with the guidance of the grandfather Nico learned quickly. Grandpa also knew that Nico was talented for this.

Nico himself was very fond and happy with every lesson. He always waited for the day for piano practice. When touching the piano Nico will feel happy. Grandpa said every song would have a different meaning because Pianists are different. Just like the person who likens the lyrics of a certain song that suits his life and others feel so too.

Grandpa was so kind to little Nico that he loved her too. But one day, Grandpa did not come again. Little Nico waited for him constantly, yet he never came in the days that followed.

When Nico no longer heard about him, Nico went to the dean's office to ask about the grandfather. The Dean sadly tells Nico that the grandfather has died. At that moment Nico cried and ran to the back of the orphanage and was aloof. He was sad because the person who cared about him had left.

Nico has also considered his grandfather as his grandfather, but always something bad keeps happening around him. From then on he held off on no longer holding the piano.although he promised never to stop at grandfather, but he was unlikely to pay for a tutor either.

The longing for the family in Nico is also because of his grandfather. That was why he had always hoped that the Helingga family would also be kind to him. He had longed for what a family would support him and accompany him in his darkest hour, yet the Helingga family would instead continue to push him towards that darkness.
