Revision paper, Ch 17

Ifa's aunt, who was carrying dinner, knocked on her young master's door. He hoped that the young master would calm down soon. The madam and the young master were always thinking of each other yet they rarely dared to come close. He hopes they will be better soon and can unite like other parents and children.

Ray, who heard the knock, let Auntie in. He had calmed himself down and sat on the sofa of his room.

Aunt brought a tray of food and put it in front of Ray. “If the young master has calmed down, eat now.”

“Iya.” Ray ate slowly and looked up at the aunt curiously. She asked, “Is it true mom also wants to be close to Ray?”

“True.” Aunt Ifa told me about how awkward Melisa used to be. She also told me that even though the mistress' marriage used to be a business marriage and they divorced later because Ray's father loved someone else. Melisa still likes Ray.

Bibi also told me that Ray's father wanted to stay with his girlfriend and gave Ray to Melisa's mistress. Although Miss Melisa is busy though she will set aside some time just to see Ray.

But as Ray grew older he was afraid of being close to Madam Melisa so that Madam Melisa could only see from afar and did not dare to approach.

"really?" Ray heard while eating his food. He heard all, didn't his mother not get too close to him for keeping his feelings in check.

"Madam Melisa used to fight for custody of the young master." Aunt said while remembering the past.

"Don't auntie say that dad went with his girlfriend and didn't bring Ray?" Ray asked confusedly.

"Yes, your father later learned that his new wife he loved could not conceive. So he came to snatch you who became his only flesh and blood." Aunt explained to Ray.

Aunt Ifa told me while remembering the past. Ray's father, Mr. Davis, came straight to the door with his wife, Miss Dira. She wants to tell Melisa that she's going to take custody of Ray back.

Melisa came out the door and found a couple she had not seen for a long time. Hearing their delusion Melisa just sneered, "Why don't you try. Just try if you can take it from me."

"Are you so arbitrary, I'm also her father. I'm entitled to Ray." Davis said furiously.

"I'll drive him to your place once or twice a week if he wants to. But don't dream for custody." Melisa's upset. She had no idea what her ex-husband was thinking. It was he who voluntarily gave custody to himself first, why now made a fuss.

"I'll keep filing, you better be prepared." Davis has lost the momentum of his ex-wife. But he won't back down to get custody of his son.

"You're the one who should be prepared. You have to find a better lawyer than my lawyer." Melisa looked at Davis with sarcasm. He is convinced that his personal lawyer may be better than Davis's. Unless Davis wants to spend big money to hire a better lawyer.

Hearing that fact Davis gritted his teeth furiously. He can't afford to pay a fortune to find a better lawyer than Melisa's. If he wanted to, he had to take the company's money that would mess up the capital chain.

The only way is to beg her brother who runs the family company. This brother was also very fond of howling first, so it might be difficult to convince him.

"I'll still be able to get it, you just have to wait." Davis left with his wife after that.

But an unexpected event happened. Davis' brother had an accident with his wife and died on the spot. The will said to give all the property and shares in his name to his only son. The boy was nine years old at the time. He needs someone who can raise him.

Davis volunteered and said he would take good care of her. Because she also could not have children so the relatives let her raise the child.

Out of fear that the boy felt it was not his family he aborted and gave up custody of Ray. In court he brought a lawyer who had definitely lost. With that she no longer bothered Melisa and said that Melisa would not bother her either.

Hearing the story, Ray then found out that his father was afraid that his brother's son was not devoted to him. Because if that happens his luxurious old life will not be guaranteed.

Finished eating aunt Ifa also excuse me to leave with a smile. Ray stood on the balcony and enjoyed the night breeze blowing right beside his ear. He hopes he can get close to Nico soon and know his nature. With that she can also be kind to him and not make her mother anxious.

In Melisa's study, Nico has been pacing back and forth feeling guilty. He did not dare to sit and wait for Melisa.

Seeing the door open, Nico felt her entire body tensed at this moment.

Melisa who entered from the door and saw Nico who was standing frowned. "Why are you standing, sitting."

"yes-yes." Nico sat down systematically.

"Don't be too tense, calm down okay." Melisa sighed looking at Nico.

"That's madam. sa-I will stay on campus only. I will file her own residence permit letter." Nico lowered his head, As he spoke his voice grew smaller.

"No need for that. You can stay here as long as you want." Melisa refused firmly. He couldn't possibly monitor Nico's safety if he went to the dormitory. This man is always surrounded by problems and he will continue to monitor him.

"But madam, your relationship has become chaotic because of me. Shouldn't I just go." Nico played his finger nervously. He has made trouble for others. Maybe he didn't feel guilty.

"No need to blame yourself.it has been like that for a long time. Neither I nor Ray ever spoke openly so it became like this." Melisa recalled In memory and said again to Nico, "You're just the last wick for this. Besides because her new friend Ray also became open."

Nico looked up, peeking at Melisa's reaction. She then sighed in relief seeing Melisa not blaming herself like the Helingga family used to.

"You should also be a little more open as well, just tell me anything and I'll listen." Melisa also hinted at Nico for her to be more cheerful.

"Hmmm..." Nico just nodded with a smile. She did not pay much attention to Melisa's words, knowing that Melisa could tell if she was investigating.

She was only happy that Melisa did not blame her.
