Destiny Syakila
eps 37's

As planned this morning. Anton went to the garden with Syakila. They walk while telling stories about Anton's childhood, and his friendship with Sarmi, Syakila's mother.

Syakila just heard it without responding to it. They did not feel like they had reached the garden. Sarmi greeted the two of them with pleasure.

"Anton, Shakila,"

Syakila immediately kissed the back of her mother's palm. Anton went straight to Gode-Gode. He sat there waiting for Sarmi to approach him.

Syakila went to see her grandmother and sister at home. Sarmi makes tea for Anton and brings it. "Here, drink!" Sarmi gives tea in front of Anton.

Anton took it and drank it one gulp and then he put it back.

"Anton, the day after tomorrow you're leaving? I just wrote a letter tomorrow to my husband. But because you came here. Let me write you a letter now. You wait until I finish writing it." said Sarmi.

"Em, Sarmi for a second!" Anton held back Sarmi's move. Sarmi stops and looks at Anton. "Actually, I came here to talk to you about something."

Sarmi scrunched his forehead. "Oh, patience! I'm done writing the letter and we're just talking." Sarmi bargained." He stepped back.

"Sar, sit down!" pinta Anton's. "Listen to me!" anton was serious. Sarmi relented, he sat back down. "What do you want to say? Just jump!" sahut Sarmi's.

"Actually, I intend to take you, your mother, and your children to come to town with me the day after." Anton spoke carefully. "Do you want to come with me? I'm worried if yesterday's events repeat themselves. And no one can help you. So ak_"

Sarmi cuts Anton's speech. "Sorry, I can't go with you. I thank you for worrying about me. I'll wait for my husband to pick us up later. Don't be disappointed in my rejection."

"Actually I was a little disappointed, because you turned down my good offer. Try to think again, are you not thinking about your children? If something like yesterday happens, no one can help you. Your mother can only cry on your head, waiting for someone to come by to help you. But nil! If you are not helped, what about your children? Didn't you think about that?" Anton honestly expressed disappointment, as well as explaining to Sarmi his good intentions.

Sarmi seemed silent, he was thinking.

Anton's words are true, but yesterday's thing was also my experience. And it's because I think about my dream that day and night, that I'm restless and can't sleep. If I hadn't thought about it, it wouldn't have happened. But, should I go with Anton to town? My husband said he would pick us up himself. Sarmi sat down while looking at Anton who was also looking at her.

"How about Sar, you agree to come with me? Think about it carefully! And if your doubts are because of my wife, you don't worry. My wife knows this right, and we're leaving together." Anton asked Sarmi for his opinion.

"No, I'm not worried about your wife. I thank you once again, but I can't go with you. Sorry!" Sarmi refuses Anton's offer.

"Think of Sarmi well!?" Anton still persuades. Sarmi took a long breath. He shook his head softly, "I've thought about it enough, Anton! I stick to my stance!"

"Huf, alright!" Anton relented. "Go write a letter to your husband, I'll wait for your letter, while finishing my tea." Anton said flatly. He looks very disappointed.

Sorry Anton, I let you down. But I don't want to make my husband disappointed later. I will wait for my own husband to pick me up and my children.

Sarmi smiled, "Hum, I'm sorry to disappoint you!" sarmi said before he stood up. "Hum, just relax!" sahut Anton's. Anton drank his tea. And Sarmi, he went to the house, found Syakila. He borrowed Syakila's book and pen to write letters. And Sarmi asks his children to accompany Anton in the gode so that he is not alone there.

"Yes, I borrowed your pen and your book, baby. After that bring your sister down, accompany me Anton yah."

"Yes Mah." Syakila took her pen and book for her mother. Then he went to see Anton at the gode gode with his sister.

"Of..Oh..!" yuli, Ita, Hardin, and Endang cried from a distance while running to meet Anton. Anton smiles at the sight of Sarmi's children running towards him.

"Don't run, son. Falling down!" Anton commemorates.

"Sister, don't run! Falling down!" Syakila repeated the warning while they were still running, not heeding Anton's warning.

They also said they did not run. But after a few stops from Anton's seat they immediately ran and hit him into Anton's body. Anton smiled happily at their cute attitude and mannerisms. Anton gently stroked their heads one by one.

Syakila also sat next to her sister.

"Syakila, what class are you in now?"

"Syakila second grade Om, soon to be a repeat of the third grade elevation." Syakila answered casually.

"Oh, do you want third grade?" sahut Anton "You are the same as the nephew Om, he is also second class, want to go up to third class."

"Oh yeah, who's Om's niece?" Syakila asked

"His name is Dina, you know?" sahut Anton

Dina? Is Dina the one class with me? Who always bothers me? inner Syakila.

"What is he like, Om? Is his hair as thick as it is? Always wear a bandana to school? And have a mole on the left side of his lip?" Syakila asked by mentioning the characteristics of Dina.

"Yes, that's a trait of Om's niece, you know?" Anton asked again.

"Yes Om, he's in class with Syakila." Syakila replied slowly. "Oh, was Dina naughty at school?" Anton asked again.

He used to annoy me at every opportunity. He's very nosy, and arrogant.

inner Syakila.

"Don't know also Om, if at break time. But if in study hours, and in class he is fine Om." replied Syakila with a lie.

Syakila's surprised.

Worth it, he likes nosy at school, that is his nature.

Syakila smiled following the smiling Anton. After discussing Dina there were no more discussions between them.

"What are you writing, son?" Sarmi's mother approached Sarmi who was focusing on writing. Sarmi looked at her mother for a moment. "Mother, Sarmi again wrote a letter to Halim" he replied, continuing to write word for word to become a meaningful sentence. Sarmi's mother sat beside Sarmi watching her write.

"Sarmi, I just heard your conversation with Anton. Why don't you go with Anton to town?"

Sarmi stopped writing for a while. "Mom, Sarmi won't bother Anton. Moreover, he went there with his son and wife as well. Anyway, Sarmi is waiting for an invitation from Halim mas." Sarmi explained the reason for his refusal. Then he continued writing his letter.

"But, Son!" Sarmi's mother wants to persuade Sarmi. But Sarmi did not give his mother a chance to continue speaking.

"Mom, Sarmi knows what I'm thinking." Sarmi stopped her words for a moment. He sighed. "Mom, Sarmi is okay, an incident like yesterday Sarmi promised, it will not be repeated again. So I didn't think about it." Sarmi explained slowly so that the mother could understand his words. Sarmi's mother nodded with her sad face. He did not bother Sarmi anymore who was writing.

After he finished writing his letter, Sarmi put the letter in the used envelope of Halim's letter envelope for him.

Then Sarmi folded the envelope and wrapped it in a small white plastic. Then he went to Anton.

Sarmi smiles from a distance as she looks into the familiarity between her son and Anton, her former lover back in Junior High.

Anton held his word. "Even if we break up one day, I'll keep a close eye on you and your children. Because you're the first girl to fill the niches of my heart. Your children, I'll think of them as my own, and I hope you will do the same as me." Anton, if it wasn't for the misunderstanding created between us back then, could it be that we would be together now? In the past, we were lovers who loved each other and did not want to separate. Not expecting our relationship to end from a misunderstanding created by your mother and your other ex-boyfriend.

Sarmi sat down while smiling and walked over to Anton.

Anton saw Sarmi who walked towards him with a sweet smile, making him stunned.

Your beauty never changes Sarmi. Your smile is still as sweet as it used to be, when we were still dating. It was stupid that I used to be instigated by mother and Tini's words, so I broke off our relationship without me hearing an explanation from you. If we hadn't broken up before, would we still be together and living happily with our children? Sarmis!

Anton.

"Have you finished writing the letter?" Anton asks when Sarmi is already nearby and sits next to Syakila, his second daughter.

"It's over, here's the letter. Please give it to Halim." Sarmi answered gently while giving the letter to Anton. Anton accepts. "Anton, I hope you're not disappointed by my rejection of your offer."

Anton smiled a little. "Just relax Sarmi, like you don't know me. But honestly a little disappointed, I can only understand you. You are a person who cares deeply about feelings for your partner" he said in a sad voice at the end of the sentence.

"Thank you, you understand me!" sahut Sarmi's. "Hum" Anton answered briefly.

"Well, it's late in the afternoon I'm going back to the village." said Anton. "Syakila, do you want to go back to the village too?" Anton asked Syakila.

"Yes Om" answered Syakila.

"Then, come together with Om go." said Anton invites Syakila.

"He Om, Shakila, get the bag inside." Syakila ran to the house to get her bag.

"Thank you Anton, you are very considerate of us" Sarmi said sincerely thanking him.

Anton smiled slightly as he looked at Sarmi's face. "I hope you don't forget what I said to you that day, Sarmi." Sarmi could not say anymore he and Anton looked at each other without wanting to decide on that view.

"Om, Syakila is ready."

Sarmi and Anton decided their gaze while laughing awkwardly.

"All right, let's go." take Anton "Salim with your mama." she asked. Syakila also salim on his mother and say goodbye. He also said goodbye to his sister.

"We go first Sarmi." said Anton. "Yes be careful on the road." said Sarmi.

Anton and Syakila finally leave. Sarmi still looked at the back of Anton and Syakila who were walking away from the garden.

I can't forget Anton. That I keep always in my brain. Inner Sarmi.

After no longer seeing their backs, Sarmi told and took his son to take a bath.

After nearly two hours on the way. Syakila and Anton arrive at the village. Syakila goes straight to her house, though Anton offers her to stop by at his house. Anton immediately barged into his house because the door was not closed.

"Namlia, my dear wife! I'm home!" shout Anton. Namlia, hearing Anton's voice, ran from the kitchen to meet her husband.

"My husband, he's home." Namlia sat down beside her husband. "How, have you talked to him?" Namlia asked curiously.

"I talked to him, but he turned down my offer. She's waiting for her husband to pick her up." replied Anton. "What are you doing, my wife?" Anton deliberately diverts the conversation, he does not want Namlia to be jealous again if he continues to discuss Sarmi.

"I just finished cooking for dinner. Then tomorrow's the day after we're the only ones leaving?" Namlia asked again to make sure.

"Yes baby!" sahut Anton while stroking his wife's hair gently. "I'll take a shower!" he said again, standing up from his seat. He stepped into the room to get a towel and went to take a shower.
