Last Note

Chelsea just finished a shower. With a pounding heart and slightly trembling hands he grabbed the envelope given by Sena. All day his mind was filled with memories of Bastian.

 

Chelsea took a deep breath before reading a hand-written letter by Bastian

Chelsea still sobbing finished reading Bastian's letter. His last sentence gave a sign as if Bastian had already sensed he was going far away from Chelsea.

His body was never found among the pieces of the plane that were destroyed and sunk on the seabed. Bastian's wish was completely realized, his mortal body fused with the sea.

 

Chelsea folded the letter back and kept it in the drawer of the nightstand, took out a tissue and wiped away her tears. Chelsea tried to smile because Bastian no longer need to worry about the way his life, he left to forever bring the love of Chelsea that made Bastian happy in the last days of his life.

Chelsea took off her footwear and felt a warm grain of sand at Kuala Putri Beach. Two days ago Chelsea left Jakarta with Papi and Mami's permission but did not say where he was going.

 

Chelsea looked at the clear blue sky this morning. Although the plane crash Bastian was in wasn't here, but being in the same city as Bastian in his final moments made Chelsea feel so close to the man while enjoying the warmth of the sea air that Bastian liked.

Chelsea stared at the gray paper ash floating in the air towards the vast ocean. All the expressions of his heart were written on a piece of paper and this morning he burned it by the shore and would sink into the deepest vast sea.

 

It's been 9 months since Bastian returned to his lap. Reading a letter that was very late in his acceptance made Chelsea's heart calmer to let go of all the shadow of the man because Bastian had got everything he wanted.

While in the city of Surabaya, Reno seemed agitated when attending an evaluation meeting this afternoon. If only there was no interest in meeting with investors and landowners tomorrow afternoon, it felt like Reno wanted to go straight back to Jakarta.

 

Dio told me about Chelsea meeting with Sena three days ago and 2 days Chelsea did not go to work without telling Nia.

The answer Reno got was the same as Dio said. Papi Agam also does not know where Chelsea are and he believes that his daughter is fine. But Reno's heart remains agitated as Chelsea shut down all communication after meeting Sena.

 

Reno's heart is not calm because Chelsea did not tell Nia about the results of his meeting with Sena. Chelsea said he was not ready to share his story with Nia.

 

Reno returned to his study at the project site. 4 days he concentrated fully to solve the problem of apartment construction in the city of Surabaya. Reno deliberately forgot the figure of Chelsea for a moment so that he could be more focused and immediately returned to Jakarta.

 

Reno is aware that Chelsea is upset with his attitude that looks planless at Mama's birthday. Reno knew that Chelsea went home to clean up and dress up after the roast was over because of his words that were ready to propose to the girl.

But Reno persisted with his theatrics and intent to make Chelsea realize and confess his feelings for Reno.

 

Arriving at the hotel and finishing the shower, Reno picked up a cell phone and typed in a message for Chelsea. Although Dio has been told that the girl's phone is left at home, at least the message sent by Reno will be received when Chelsea reactivate the phone.

 

Reno's forehead creased and her eyes narrowed to make sure that what she saw on the phone screen was real. The message he sent immediately tick 2, meaning that the Chelsea mobile phone has been active again. Reno smiled and there was a hint of relief in her heart.

 

Hours 23.45. Reno stopped calling Chelsea because he did not want to interfere with the girl's rest time. At least Chelsea did not disappear for more than 2 days.
